2012 Quilt Show - Pocatello

Just a few of the Beautiful quilts at the show in no particular order. 

I see I don't have a picture of the stunning Quilt made by Sue Hawks of Pocatello.  They had many categories for voting.  We got there too late on Saturday to Vote again.

 My two quilts at the show-

The 1st one is my "Bouquet of Friendship" that Lynn and I wrote the pattern for.

 The 2nd one is the one Tina claimed when I had it in the 2nd Challenge for the
McCall's Quilt Design Star Contest last year.
I shortened the name to "Be-Ribboned"
(this pattern is being written to be Go-Friendly, coming very soon)

The sweet lady I talked to on the phone before entering my two quilts in the Show; Shelly Powers.  

I had her sign a siggy square for my Quilting Friends Siggy Quilt.

This is all I bought at the show that I can put on the BLOG the rest is secrets for Christmas... Some Primitive Magazines that aren't found just anywhere and Jo Morton 'New' fabrics that had to come home with me for my Civil War Quilt.  The magazine on the right has a quilt pattern by LORI of Humble Quilts blog. That is why I was looking for it.  There was other notable Blogger's names in both of them. The tissue covers were in each goodie bag we got as we came to the show,  also in there was some candy and a Glove in case we wanted to see the label on the quilts for the name of each quilter.  It was fun ---especially to have Tina with me on Saturday.  She liked a lot of the quilts and we got to spend that Quality MIL/DIL time together.  Thinking "pink" next time she is pregnant...
While they took the quilt show down we went to Kiwi Loco for the FREE Frozen Yogurt for MOM's.   YUMMY stuff!

Labels ON- Cloth Bag's Made

I have entered a few Quilt shows in my time and for the first time I had to make a separate bag or pillowcase for each one I enter.  I found when I took my Bouquet of Friendship to be cleaned that I had not put a label on it.  The quilt got all crinkly and 'old fashioned' looking now that it has been washed.  I used some of the Kona White fabrics and ironed Freezer paper on the back so it would run through the computer.  Here are the 2 labels ready to trim and attach to the 2 Quilts.

I haven't ever had to pay a fee to enter quilts before either. It was nonminal but I am anxious to see how many quilts are there.  I wonder how many categories they will have for the 'Viewers Choice"?   I'll have to report back after the Quilt show.
