WOW-WEDNESDAY... Good-bye to January

I joined the Zoom call on Tuesday with the 

"Girlfriends"

It was fun to watch and learn.

I'll need some Fusible Fleece to make the 

Reverible bag that Kris demoed.

 

It was foggy outside all day so I stayed home.

I went out and got the Drill with a bit

So I could hang my pegboard.

I got the pegboard at Home Depot. 

The frame is repurposed.

I added a few of my favorite rulers and scissors. 

The assortment of hooks package are ok.

I really was looking for a package of just one kind of hook.

I ordered and returned a package from Amazon. 

Plastic isn't what I want. 

I would have been drilling more holes in the wall.

After the Zoom I got my fabrics out to start the 3 Yard Challenge.

HSTs all Sewn!

I had to wait until Paul came home to take my picture.

I love my Clapper when pressing hsts.

Just the dog-ears to trim....

This lighted Ruler is NEW!

I came from the Comment Sold.

So happy with the lighted lines to trim the hsts.

I fussy-cut the centers

Blocks ready to stitch.

This will go together fast, then I can start on the next Challenge.

Monday Again

It's been a while...

Oh, but I have had some fun.

It's catch up time. 

The White Bluffs Quilt Museum is displaying 

The 4-patch Trip Quilts made from our Fall 

Shop Hop locally.

I was surprised to learn that we all get a prize!

4 very different colorways.

All made by my Walla Walla friends.

I delivered them to be shared this month.

The weather has not cooperated. 

I will pick them up later this week. 

Last Thursday we went to Temple and then we went to Great Harvest Bread Company 

I had Birthday cash to use before the 31st. 

The January White Bluffs Shop Hop 

began on Saturday. 

All of our Walla Walla (except STASH), College Place and Athena shops 

are closed on Saturdays. 

I went to Tri-Cities and visited all the shops I could 

with a break to watch our Granddaughter play Basketball. She's 10. 

I found fabric to use in my 'Origins' Challenge.

There was 2 new shops on this Hop and one that is closing. Sad 😔, it's here in Walla Walla.

 I found the 'Besties' fat Quarters at 

The New One in Pasco.

It was open only for the Shop Hop.

I'm a Tula Pink Collector  💗 

My DH helped me cut the piece of Pegboard 

I needed to fit this space. 

It will hold the long rulers and a few notions

 above my new Cutting table.

DYI at it's best. 

I had to glue the frame together for it to work.

This cabinet was re-purposed from the basement

I had a bit of cleaning up in the corner for it to be put there.

The space is small but I can use it for shorter cuts.

I use the table in the Living room to make the Long  CUTS.

I like to do those at Eddie's too.

Happy Monday. Packages arrived again. 

My Birthday Month is ending this week.

We went to my Quilt Guild in Tri-Cities then drove up to 

have Pizza at our favorite hang out - Chicos!

Friends from almost 50 Years ago.

Next year is our 50th reunion!

Since the Temple was closed on my Birthday, we went the next day!

 It's so Beautiful!!

we drove home from Moses Lake.

Woke up this morning to just a dusting.

I sewed the last part of the top border last night.

I hope that our plans to drive to Tri-Cities then on the my Hometown pan out.

But first hubby wants a Maple Counter Breakfast.

I could just sit at home and work on another UFO. 

I went to sew with my local Quilt Guild

 friends on Saturday.

It was Snowy and sub Freezing out!

Here's the picture I snapped

. Not everyone was Looking, and a few were missing, hiding or behind the camera.

We were getting ready to video a wish to a friend in the Hospital "Happy Birthday, Ann H"

I worked on some catch-up stitching. 

Chains of Purple hsts pressed, trimmed and sewn into pieced Border rows.

Next is the final border.

It fills the floor in my Living room.

This is where I left it. 

3 borders on.

They took a bit of wrangling.

Choices to add lots of Piano strips or just what was already cut for the final pieced border. 

Wait until you see the flimsy.

Probably in the snow.

It's the Quiltmaker 40th Anniversary 

SAL from 2022.

I got stalled by the borders, again.

I am already thinking of the "Frosting"

[Quilting in those open spaces.]

It might take awhile.

 ready to sew.

WOW- Wednesday

 January 10th brings Memories flooding to my mind.

It's my sweet Mommas Birthday

Born the 2nd daughter of seven children.

She was her daddy's girl.

Her High School Photo

She didn't graduate, she married my daddy instead.

Her we are at our Wedding Reception.

Little did we know how long we would have her.

It was a Beautiful evening for me as a New Bride.

I woke up to This...

It didn't help the days mood.

Thankfully it melted already.

I stayed home.

It gives me flashbacks of Omaha winters. 

4 Years go we were here.

Dinner with my Neice at Kneaders in Heber, Utah

On our way to our Mission in  Omaha, I Nebraska.

It seems like yesterday.

My Indigo Mystery is not too far along.

I had to lay a few blocks out to see how they look.

No more clues to come.

Bonnie is headed to New Zealand with Craft Tours.

I have a few more boxes for Nativities to put away.

The tree is bare except for the garland and Angel.

I counted the nativities as I took them off the tree.

65 Nativities, 16 Stars, 12 Angels, & 3 lambs.

Shelf Nativities count was 30. 

As I am putting things away, I had to count all of my Chuck the Ducks

Missouri Star Flat Chucks.

5 More days until I turn one year older.

I am feeling older already.

How many Naps did I take today?

I'll never tell.

I figured the Jelly Roll would help with the

 stripping and give some variety.

I also have a Tri-Cities Quilt Guild Challenge for the Show in March.

Something about ourselves.

Well, I have ideas spinning in my head about this Challenge.

Best Memory of my Childhood is when my daddy painted the house PINK!

We had a White Picket Fence and a Weeping Willow Tree.

Later he grew Beautiful Roses, and planted Blue Spruce Pine trees in the yard.

Oh, and the Big Snowball Tree in the back by our Clothes line.

The neighbor said he could plant a stick and it would Grow.

Those were his Geraniums.

I ran a few errands and came home to sort and clean in my sewing room.

I've done some Cutting for the Mystery Parts I need to make Block B and More Block A.

I even found some things I haven't seen since Last Year.

WOW-Wednesday Mystery Progress

I just had to post the age of these two Fabrics.

The red is from 1992

Indigo is 2016

Those years were pretty eventful for me.

1992 was the year I finished my first Block of the Month with Jo Fox in Pasco

2016 I self-published my 1st pattern and Sold a few to Local Shops.

And it was the year I got my Red Eye Treadle for my 59th Birthday.

The Year before I turned Officially OLD!!!

My Birthday is coming up again and I have been stitching every day so far this month.

It's only the 3rd day into the new year, HAHAHA

Here are the parts I have left after making a few Blocks.

I still need to make some Parts 5 & 6.

One of these stacks is the wrong size... oops!

 

I made enough parts to complete these 6 Blocks.

Not without a bit of FROGGING.

I'm not the only one in the Facebook group having to use the Seam Ripper.

I did my DDE (Digital Dealer Exclusive) yesterday with the Live Video

I'm waiting for the Round Pillow for the rest of this Project.

The Save the Date Pillows are fun.

 This one is done early for next year, lol.

I forgot a package under the Christmas Tree.

I was putting things away on New Years day and found it.

My friend Shelly, was too generous.

Had to get a picture in my new Shirt.

Funny that I have one in a Peachy color from our Son, Joe!

Frameable size, a folder of Creations with sweet messages.

Our Zillah family gave us a gift card for 

Texas Roadhouse 

We are so blessed with caring family.
