Quiltville Mystery Monday 2021

 It was a Stay in my Jammies &

Sew Day/Snow Day !!

I got behind making Parts of the Quiltville Mystery with all the Christmas Projects. 

I can't share those since Covid hit the Crowther home that was hosting our big family

 gathering this year. 

We got Part 5 this morning on the Quiltville Blog.

I woke up, printed the info and cut a few 

Block parts to stitch today.

I worked on Catching up on Parts 2,3,4 & then on to Part 5!

Sew, Trim & Press,  Repeat!

Next part comes out again on Friday!!

Gotta cut more fabric and play again tomorrow. 

Paul has Cataract Surgery in the afternoon. 

So I will need to get dressed and comb my hair.

Busy December - (halfway over already)

 AHHH, December we've waited all year for you. 

Grandma's Ornaments were mailed and delivered the first week of the month.

I love my family that sends me or lets me take pictures of the Grandkids hanging them!

This is one of the Ornaments, they were RED or Green Beads with Buttons from my Button Jar.

Pictures are the gift that makes Grandma Happy!!!

My Nativity Tree is up again after 2 years!

We had to buy a new Tree 3 years ago and I didn't put up a tree at home in 2019.

There are quite a few Nativity ornaments on this BIG Tree.

I keep finding more in Totes and boxes.

Tonight is Quilt Guild in Walla Walla

We're exchanging Socks filled with Quilty Goodies and candy.

The Raffle Quilt Drawing is also tonight.

 I put some family names on a few tickets, wish us all luck!!

Still need to have a Chocolate making day.

I spotted this easy Double Nine Patch on a Hallmark movie.

It's scrappy and sew fun!

The 1st Part was easy HST's

Bonnie gave the tip to hold and guide with my left hand.

 This is what the parts looked like before pressing and trimming dog-ears.

I Love my Wool Pressing mat and Quilters Clapper.

I wish my Oliso Iron was Purple but it matches these HST's so I'll keep it.

Quilt Guild "Tiara Time"

 The Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild met at Eddie's place; Powered by Quilting downtown Friday and Saturday this week.  It was Sew Fun!

I got to wear my Tiara!

My Tiara time buddy didn’t get to come, 😞

I took my Favorite Bernina to stitch on more Birds. The #Followthebluebird has a few more friends now. A right facing Red Bird a Sparrow,  Blackbird or Crow & Dove.

Each bird I make gives me more ideas to make one in a different color.  

Today, I  got up and got there earlier, so I had more time to stitch.

I cut and stitch a bunch of Scrappy red hsts.

When I got home I checked to see if I made enough...

Looks good to me!

 The other project I took to work on was my Garden Party from the Retreat with the PNW Quiltville Fans & Bonnie Hunter  in 2017.

I had more ready to sew than I thought. 

Wore my Quilty socks too!

I am not even Half way done. 

It was fun to play with the parts I cut back then.

It took a bit of pressing to get started. 

I still like my Green chain blocks.

Bonnie's version had Red.

Since I found a good 3-D Mask pattern, I have wanted to make a Purple one.

I'm glad I took time to get it done while I was sewing with my Quilt Guild friends.

I missed this the most while I was gone.

The Quiltville Mystery starts in less than a week

And I am excited to get my Quilt Maker Magazine for the #2 Mystery.

We'll see if I can keep up.

Friday fun -Catching up

 I've had a fun week between the stitches...

We went to the Movies for Monday night.

NaDell's 3 oldest met us there.

It was a LDS Movie Club Night.

We saw "The Reluctant Convert" about the Author CS Lewis.

There is always drawings for prizes after. since there were 4 Theaters full,

 the prizes were in the Foyer.

I was a Lucky winner this time of the Great Harvest Bread Basket of goodies.

It came with a coupon for a Free loaf when I go there next. Yummy Stuff.

I WON these Blocks from the Walla Walla Quilt Guild meeting Tuesday night.

The 2 odd blocks with Neutral are mine.

They were supposed to be Monochromatic, oops

Had to make a Red Bird to go with my Blue Bird.

(Sister Bennett suggested it)

Now I'm thinking of making a red-breasted Robin.

I played with these fun Pixelated Letters after watching Misty on the MSQC video.

I added a Scrappy Border since I was using 2 1/2" strips from a past Shop Hop.

By Making a Letter "T" I could spell Tree.

SEW FUN!

My Quilt Buddy called and asked if I had any of the ALOHA fabrics by Jennifer Chiaverini.

I searched and made a bigger Mess in my Quilt Zone, I knew where they would be,

I just had to find the Project box for my Aloha Quilt.

The color of the fabric does show in this picture. it's a pretty Green.

I had less than a yard but hope it's enough for her to finish her project.

 I don't think I'll need it for mine.

She was so happy that she came over to get it when her Hubby got home.

I had something else for her that I'd picked up in Greenwood, Nebraska.

I saw the collection of Cherished Teddies and had to bring one home for Lynn.

I'm grateful I could give it to her.

He's Patrick and he is praying. She didn't have it and that's a good thing.

These are a few of the other things that came home with me.

The Musical statue was an easy fix when I looked closer at the way it should be.

It plays the tune "Turn Around" as it turns around.

Time to clear out and clean off the Quilt Machine.

I have a few projects ready to finish.

Monday Again

 I haven't done a Design Wall Monday since I returned.

This post won't be one either.

I'm happy to be home and finding more time to Sew.

 I Missed my Quilt Zone while I was gone.

The most Quilty thing I did last year was go to Antique stores and take pictures of Quilts.

It was fun to see all the Quilts displayed at the Antique shop I visited with Sister Bennett.

I remember cracking nuts at Christmastime.

Sister Bennett took home a Tea set that had the Night before Christmas on it.

I liked this one, it didn't come home with me.

I did bring a few treasures home.

It was a great trip down Memory Lane for Pat & I.

We ate at the little Deli there.
