Friday Sharing- 1930's Farmer's Wife Blocks

 It's been a different kind of week.  I have gotten a little bit of stitching done between trips to TriCities to see my Dear MIL.

DH is up there again today to be with her.

The Blocks for the Farmer's wife have been coming almost Daily it seems.

I cut them out while I watch TV and stitch them up the following day.

I had to make 2 versions of the Caroline.

I cut too many of the HST's from too many different fabrics.  

My Through the Hourglass Class had just 1 person signed up so we postponed it until next week.

Thursday again 4pm-8pm

I have some special tricks to make the blocks with partial seams.

I made a block for my Blue and white this week.

I have finished all of the Farm Girl Friday Blocks as of this week.

I ordered Lori's add-on Farm Girl PDF patterns from the Fat Quarter Shop HERE.

"Apple Picking Quilt" 

It is 13 pages so I got it printed in B & W at Staples.

So I'm not done with my Farm Girls blocks completely, I guess.

They are just too cute!

I have a good start on my Block making for October.

More October Goals I want to add here...

1- Make Blocks for Guild and BOW.

2- Finish the Vacation Time setting blocks- Flimsy

3- Make some more Moth in the Window Blocks

4- Sew the #2 Grand Illusion Blocks into a Flimsy 

5-work on Christmas, (can't show that but I'm started on it.)

77 days until Christmas, OH MY!!!

Design Wall Monday- October 14, 2013

It's that time again and up for the DWM post is a couple of the many UFO projects  have on my October Goals list...  It's mid-month report time too.
Here are my October 2013 Goals
1- Parcheezi- to flimsy- [almost there] Trimmed and ready to sew to flimsy

2- Midnight Flight Blocks, sew 3 more blocks- Flimsy 

3- Nabby's Dowry - Flimsy

4- Sept NewFO- ALOHA LUS - need to sew 10 more blocks Flimsy

5- SBS Sarah's Choice Star Swap - Need's final border-Flimsy (I took this one on my visit with Jennifer)

6- Thank Your Lucky Stars- Flimsy

 This is my "Thank Your Lucky Stars" so far

I love the Fabrics in this one, They are from Jackie Robinson's ROSES fabric line.

The Purples are my FAVORITE! Jackie says the Purples weren't the Best sellers in her Roses line

I have to audition the fabrics for the Star Points.

I only need to make the star points (like in the picture below) and this one can be finished at least to Flimsy.

OR should I work on the SBS Sarah's Choice Star SWAP and get it done?  

With the Green for a Border this one could be finished the fastest 

of all of the quilts listed in the October goals.
