WOW-Wednesday on a Tuesday ... 2024 Raffle Quilt

This is the night we have waited for!
Tonight is the Night to see the REVEAL of this Beautifully finished Raffle Quilt.
Come to the Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild Symposium at 6pm in the Blue Mountain Community Church on Sturm. South off of Pleasant. North off of Bryant.
Tickets go on sale tonight through December 10th when one lucky winners ticket
will be randomly drawn at our December Potluck.
Tickets are $5 each

Who wouldn't want to own a Lori Holt Quilt made and lovingly
finished by our Quilter's in Walla Walla?

I can hardly wait to start selling tickets.

I bet you can't guess which block I made, lol!
I put a lot of stitches into this one.
Helped with the layout, sewed on sashings, sewed a row of Blocks together,
sewed all the rows together and added the borders including a flange.
It was fun to be on the Raffle committee again.

In Preparation for tonight, I played with my PVC in the garage.
I knew I had parts and pieces to make a Quilt Stand.
I found that Dear Hubby Used 3 different sizes of PVC.
He helped me, by making a stand, when I was doing the Quilts at the WW Fair.
He also made a set of Poles for camping.
A Shade made from PVC and a Tarp.
I now have 4 FREE-standing Quilt stands.

Have a Beautiful day, The sun came out and Flowers are Blooming.

Christmas Eve in July - fun

We had fun Celebrating Christmas Eve in July.
Pamela brought a few giveaway goodies.
Eddie offered this cool tree made with
So kind of Wonderful rulers.
My name was drawn first, so I got it!
It needs the Quilting.
I will use it on a door and maybe add some ornaments to it.

I stitched 2 more of the part 1 of the Evergreen Mystery SAL  from Fat Quarter Shop.

I didn't take my extra fabrics so part 2 is
only part way done.
These two sections reminded me again why I dislike directional fabrics???

I suggested we get together for Christmas stitching on the 25th of each month to Eddie.
Pamela took it on.
No waiting for December last minute gifts this year.

We got the Walla Walla Valley Raffle Quilt designed on Saturday morning.
Using the Lori Holt Blocks made by Guild Members.
The Cow Block goes in the black space.
it needed a background-ectomy.
The background was provided for us to give the quilt unity.
A couple of blocks did not conform.
My Flower Block is in the center column, so I get to put that column together.

WOW- Wednesday - PI Day & Lori Holt Day, etc, etc!

Monday and Tuesday came and went!
I forgot to BLOG!
I was busy with Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Family Night and Quilt Guild.
This is my BUSIEST Week of the Month.

I made Kori's Banana Cream Pie recipe for Pi Day

Extra filling eaten warm with Whipped Cream, YUMMY!

Yesterday I had to share the Hoppy Easter for my "Recent Finish".

I made an "Odds and End" Block for Quilt Guild.
I had to take pictures for today's #IGQuiltfest Prompt - Best Tip Ever
Pressing seams or Spinning Seams?? Sometimes it is better not to Spin as in this Block.
I also Love my Pins to keep the seams nested.

I did spin the center of the Block.

Odds & Ends
I used directional fabric for the background.
The seam ripper came out to play, and I had to cut new parts for a couple pieces,
to make the print go the same direction.
The lady sitting in front of me WON all 20 Blocks that came in.
Whew, I dodged that bullet, no new UFO added this month.

Today was Lori Holt day at Powered by Fabric.
I went to make the block for the Guild Raffle Quilt
Pretty Dahlia Block from the Farm Girl Vintage 2 book.
6" uses tiny flipped corners!
Make sure you put them on the right side... just saying.
I think I put the leaves on upsidedown opps!

Binding, Hanging Sleeve and Label on my Rhododendron Trail Quilt.
It's a long way around this one...
It is extra heavy with the flannel Backing too.
I'm taking it on a road trip to use in the Hotel.
Time Out for Women, Here we come!
