I Missed my BLOG-O-Versary!

It was back in August on the 13th. August was SOOO Busy - it just slipped by.  I've been wanting to have a giveaway but life just doesn't slow down.  Looking back HERE,   

I see that I was even more busy then, just fewer Grandchildren. 

The year was 2008!  

That means I've been BLOGGING 5 years!!! How do I remember it?

I had taken my first trip to SISTER'S OUTDOOR QUILT SHOW just the month before.

I met Judy D and Sonja W there.

I celebrated Birthdays with these Gals...

All of these friends are now gone from Walla Walla or are soon leaving me. :(

My Quilt Buddy and I went on our first FULL Shop Hop!

I saw a Childhood Friend in Ritzville too.

 I went to see my Utah Friend and showed her the Disappearing 9-Patch.

We saw the painted ponies in Ogden.

 My Utah Friend came to see me and we went to the Columbia River Temple with our Husbands.

I made these fun Christmas Quilts for the families (with a LOT of Help from my Quilt Buddy)

Here they are goofing off with them.

Jeff was in Cuba, in the Army.

This is how many Grandchildren I had then (minus Benjamin), 

those babies are now in Kindergarten and 1st grade.

My Daughter, her two daughters and my Sister came with me to see the
Mid-Columbia Ballet Performance of the Nutcracker.
A fun Holiday Tradition in the Ransom Family.
This year these two Grand-daughters are in it again.

 Here we are at Christmastime!  

Looks like that was the year I made the Football Jerseys too.

WHEW!!! time sure flies!

I have a copy of  "THE GIVING QUILT" Book by Jennifer to GIVE-AWAY.

It's from 2012 but very timely for this up-coming Holiday season.

I even have the PIN to go with it.

Quilt Guild -Secret Pal

I am amazed at how loved I feel after coming home from guild.  My secret pall outdoes the gifties from the previous month.  I think there's nothing more I could get and she finds something.  She has been more than generous with me!  This month I took a picture of the stuff.  I've picked the book "Fancy to Frugal" up in stores several times but never bought it.  Now it's mine!  The fabric in the front is to make an Apron.  There are crushed walnuts and a pattern to make a Pincushion.  Scrapbook cardstock, Quilty notecards, two spools of King Tut Thread in my favorite color-purple, all wrapped up in a couple fat quarters and placed in the bag.  WHOA!  you'd think it was Christmas at my House...  Whoever she is and if she reads my BLOG, I have to say a BIG THANKS!  I'm overwhelmed.  The only sort of  bad thing is-- I have to count the fabric on my Stash Report this week.  I considered leaving it in the trunk so I could count it next week.  

Marlene and I were honored at guild.   I am one of the two from our guild here in the Walla Walla area still in it to WIN it! We showed them our Challenge #2 Quilts from the last round, both are still un-quilted. We are both hard at work narrowing down the Design and choosing a song that is well-known and represents us as quilters.  I thought choosing the song would be the hard part.


Note to the GIVEAWAY Followers: I have gone way over the 75 Followers I was shooting for with my Giveaway.  There are almost 100 now and 65 Comments!  I knew Jennifer Chiaverini was popular, but I didn't know I would get such a Big response.   As far as International Shipping goes, I hadn't thought of that and have decided that I will ship to whoever is lucky enough to be chosen to Win by the Random Generator.
