May Finishes!

This month is looking good for Finishing projects.  So far I've finished the quilting on my Alabama Friend's KING sized quilt, quilted my January Monochromatic Challenge and my version of the American Beauty quilt with the BOM blocks from Guild last year.  YEA! it feels so good to have a few more quilts that I can cross of the list. FINISH is my word of the YEAR. And the month is only half over!

  

At Guild tonight there was a vote for the quilts made from last Year's BOM.  I won second place and got more of the Wild Roses Fabrics like what are in the pink quilt.  I will use them for another Marti Michell pattern that I've been wanting to make. It will be  awhile before I start on that though.  Lots of UFO's waiting still.  I'm getting more confident in using my quilt table. Free- motion on the pink quilt went fairly quickly and I had fun doing the feathers in the borders.

 This is the Block I won from Volume 2 of the 100 Blocks Magazine.  This was the first block in the magazine, Rosie's Posie. I like that it is signed by the designer; Cara Bonner of Quilt Nook Gal designs.

I won the autographed copy of Vol 2 magazine from Reeze Hanson of Morning Glory Designs. I've done the Blog Hop again for Volume #3, but so far haven't heard if I won a copy of the magazine or if I need to buy it.

 P. S. I just got the news that I WON  Vol # 3  at Quilty Pleasures!

Guild is this week and I need to have my second Marti Michell American Beauty quilt to show.  This is my own setting.  The original is set on point.  You can see my version of it Here and some of the quilting on it Here. They postponed the challenge from last month.  I'll have two chances if I get it done. This is my 2-A UFO for the Year.  It measures 55"x 69.5" right now.  Should I add another border??  I am wondering what fabric to use for the Binding also.  Please give me your opinion in the Comments.
