It's Fri-Yay!

I did go down for Scrap Day.
Eddie was out of town.
The street that we liked to park on is fenced off.
The city is taking that street and making a Park.
The bridge will be taken down and just a
Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge will be built
They turned the Parking direction in the
 Powered by Fabric lot.
Only one Exit from the Parking lot now.
I was glad that I showed up early!
There's a big Tree that is being removed.
Sad for that!
And the call it Progress...?
Anyway!
Here are the Blocks I made while there.
I started at the Back of the book this time.
Wreath

Warm Hat

Vintage Pinwheel
After making the fiddly Wreath Block I chose two less tiny parts blocks to make.
I see now that I'm home that I used a different background with these three blocks. oops!
I'm using my scraps from the Christmas in July SAL I did last year with Fat Quarter Shop.

Had to see how many I've made for my Vintage Christmas Quilt.
11 of 35 Total 6.5" blocks to make.
I missed the Christmas Sew Day in April yesterday.
No Christmas in June Day this next month...
More to come between now and Christmas in July!
Next Blocks are either a Gingerbread House or a Vintage Ornament"
Gotta fill in the blank spots and have this one done for Christmas this year, lol.

Monday Sew Day

It's time to go back to Powered by Fabric
Eddie is so Good to us - Her Quilty Friends.
Today I'm working on my MSQC 4- Patch Picnic Quilt

It's been languishing in a tote since Jenny did the Tutorial
7 Months ago.
I didn't mean for it to become a UFO.
But it is getting a turn on this UFO day.
I made my own precuts to use up some fabrics in my stash.
This is going to be a fun Quilt!

My Tri-Cities Challenge Quilt is progressing.
No sneak Peaks today.
Voting happens at the March meeting.
It just needs and wants a Mitered Border, lol

Happy Monday!

Missed my Monday- Wow Wednesday

It's a WOW Wednesday after a No Blog Monday.
I should have a lot to share.
Monday was a day to gather strength.
It also was a Tri-City Quilt Guild, run errands sort of day.
The fun part of my day was my Cousin's daughter came to Quilt Guild!!!
When she introduced herself I got a shout out.
I should have taken a picture. DUH!
I think this is the only picture I took on Monday.
Posted on IG and FB
I got a new planter rack to put outside.
Ready for spring planting and warmer weather.
It was a fun puzzle to assemble.
Not as big as it looked online. Oh well!

Tuesday was an Open Sew Day...
I have deadlines.
I should be getting up early to stitch them.
I just love to stay up late and watch my shows that are finally premiering.
The Writers strike messed with my shows.
Most are doing a last season, so I'll be sad when they are over.
Back to the stitching.
I took my two challenges that are due March 1st-4th.
I cut and stitched and stitched.
The tiny cutting of the between Pickets for my Picket fence.

Results only will do maybe two sides of the borders.
I'm working my way from the outside on this project.
I love how they turned out.
This is how my Daddy built our fence around our house.
I am inspired by the story this little Quilt will tell.
Did I catch the vision?
I never asked why he cut them and placed them this way.
Maybe my mamma had a say in it.
PATTERNS!
Not like every other Fence.
Built by my Dad, with his two hands and a skill saw.
I remember painting this fence...
My daddy didn't let me paint the house.
Now I need to make the 'PINK'  house.
The screen door might be tricky.
This is the house in my Childhood memory.

Happy Wednesday, I'll be stitching.
I got my 3-Yard challenge put together and borders sewn.
There will be Frogging, maybe.
Gotta lay it out to see if the borders work.

Monday Stitching on Betsy

Well, it's Monday again!
This what I played with on Friday
It was Scrap Day at Powered by Fabric!
I started making the 4-Patches in just Purple.
Thought about it and put in some more colors this time.
I had to do some frog-stitching on the two Blocks I had made.
The Solid Squares were not in the right place.
The pattern is called "Plaid 4-Patch"
I'm 1/4 done with the Quilt.

July is here and it's time to turn in my Row By Row Quilt.
I swapped the top and bottom rows so the Picket Fence is on the bottom.
Got it put on "Betsy"

Chose a simple Quilting pattern called "Charms"
See the Butterfly?
Hubby couldn't see it, he says he doesn't see patterns.

All Quilted and ready for the Binding.
Not enough time for getting it all on and tacked down before the Sweets Game.
I can turn it in on Wednesday.
I'll message a picture to the owner and she'll count me finished today.
I did a stitching on a t-shirt to match the Quilt.
I sipped a few of the steps in the pattern.
Puckers happen...

Happy Monday!
Hope you're getting your stitches in, lol
Gotta make a salad for tomorrows BBQ.

Finally Fri-Yay- it's flimsy time

Wednesday stitching didn't happen until later.
My day was a lot like Bonnie's.
Going in Circles.
Errands, paying bills, unexpected phone calls
 and texts with interesting requests.

A Fun Bonus file of Stacked Animals from the
Fresh and Local Bella Box

I started with the WNW at Kimberbell.
It was also a Quilt Alliance Day with
Bonnie Hunter.
I caught her when she was speaking...

I could have packed up my Scraps and gone down to stitch with Eddie and Friends.
Oh, the choices on a Me Day!
They're starting on the All People Quilt Along.
I couldn't find my paper Eddie gave me.
I will try and go to Scrap Day next time for sure at Powered by Fabric.
Google to the rescue.
The link is HERE

They already finished the SAL
I'm not too late.

Today is crunch time for the baby Girl Quilt!
It won't take too long.

Happy Fri-Yay!
