5th Sunday in Nebraska

Elder Crowther asked me if I was still Blogging.
Well, I have been a little busy...
We are trying to get things all ready for the busy season at the
Mormon Trail Center & Kanesville Tabernacle.
The History Department and our Boss are coming in March.

I want to make a quilt for the cradle in the Cabin.
I ordered some 1850's reproduction fabrics, they came in the mail this week.

I need to decide soon what pattern I will use.
Any suggestions from my Blogging friends???

We try to get out and see some of the sights too.
I wish we could have gotten pictures of the cool brick houses on 52rd street.

The Lincoln Monument in Council Bluffs was fairly easy to find.
Well need better directions to find the Black Angel.

The Antique Shops are interesting, but I didn't buy anything!

When I saw all the PEZ, I thought of our Son by Love, Andy.

I spent Saturday evening laying out a few Blocks and stitching them for my Frolic Mystery.

4 More to add to the 11, Yea!
Happy Monday, tonight is Sister's Night at Sister Johnson's (upstairs)

  1. Your Frolic blocks look terrific! I have a sister who would love to have that Pez collection. Looks like you're keeping busy, busy, busy!! :)

  2. Nice fabric bundle. If I was making it, I would keep the cradle quilt simple--a four patch or nine patch--or even maybe an Irish chain.
In spite of all your busyness, I think you are making good progress on your Frolic.

  3. I think Sawtooth Stars would be my choice for the quilt or something simple like a churn dash. I am glad you are finding some sewing time.

  4. Your blocks are looking good. They add up! The repro fabrics are great for your plan. Pattern? Well, if you look at the doll quilts swapped in 2017 on Humble Quilts you might get an idea for a cradle quilt. I was looking for last year's swap, but I didn't find it. Her blog is a little tricky to search.
