New Projects for 2015- Final NewFO link-up-

I will be doing The Quilt Show Blocks of the month again in 2015.
It's designed by Lynnette Anderson from Australia.
"My Country House"
My Country House My Country House - Introduction - 0

The link for info is HERE.

2- I signed up for the Downton Abbey English Manor Mystery QAL HERE.
It starts January 4th.

3- Pat Sloan is doing another FREE Block of the Month HERE.
She has posted the Supply list. The link takes you directly
to where you can watch her video and get the PDF.
It's called
"Vacation Time"

4- The 2015 Row by Row Experience happens in the Summer.

I will be busy finishing my NewFo's from 2014 too.
HERE is the list from 2014 and the progress I made.
Making the list I did ok the first part of the year but changed my NewFo's near the end of the year.
There won't be a link-up for NewFOs but I'm sure some NEW projects will find me.

My 2 DD's have shown me the quilts they want me to make for them.
Ironically they are in similar colors ---I  don't have much in my Stash of those colors.
I've been designing in EQ7 and will have something to show the ladies at the LQS
when we have our Teacher meeting sometime in January.
These 2-3 original layout designs will be my first Quilt Classes at our downtown LQS.
Walla Walla Sew N Vac has asked me to teach.
I'm excited to start in February or March 2015.

I haven't done any more except the Quilt Ville Mystery that was REVEALED tonight.
Here's a few of my Blocks laid out.

YES, it is Very Busy!

My Mid- Month December Goals are posted HERE
For December's NEW fo I have to add this picture of Paul with his
Moth in the Window quilt blocks on his "Design Wall".

"Cascadia" My 2nd NewFO for November

Lori got home in time to post more steps for the QAL HERE.
It's called "Cascadia"
I have used up a bunch of my Leftover Scraps for this QAL.
I'm so glad I cut them for my Scrap Users System.
Thanks to Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville fame!!!

 Part 3- Sewn together

The top strip in this picture is the "Right" way!
Here is how the corner should look...

I did a LOT of UNsewing but it is done now and I can rest easy until the next Part.
Do you think this is a possible arrangement?

Thanks Lori for the fun use of my Leftovers!
It's scrapilicious...

I know I already started a different NewFo!
That isn't counting the Quiltville  Mystery that is starting on Friday -so there is 3 this month...

My "Sheep Shape" Lamb Quilt Mini!
It still need the lamb's legs and face sewn on, the leaves and ric rac stems also.
Then I can quilt it, trim it and hang it up in my Mini gallery.

Linking up with Cat Patches for November.
Only one more Link-up this year and then she is retiring the NewFO link-up :(

End of July- NewFo reporting- August Goals

Again I did not work on the proposed project-

Their were just too many other Projects that called to me---
My July Goals were mostly met.
1-Catch up Market Day blocks HERE Flimsy

2- Make M & C Quilt Blocks x 61 Need 12 more blocks
3- Join the  Cut - Press - Sew - Quilt SAL HERE Moved to August

I should have put my proposed NewFO on my Goal list...
The Tab at the top of the Blog has been updated HERE

NewFO #1 - I started the Bouquet of Friendship Quilt and worked hard to finish it
to "flimsy' in July at Retreat.
Too bad My Count was off by 12 when I laid it out on Tuesday.

I webbed and sewed the center together
the 3 borders are all sewn too.
It will be back to the Sewing machine for some power sewing again for that 4th border.
Then I am asking for suggestions on the color to fill in the parts where the floor is showing through.
I had hoped to use a LT Green or maybe a Tan might be better.
Leave your thoughts in the Comments.
NewFO #2- I also collected some Rows with lots of HELP from my Family and Friends.
I posted the 8 rows I finished HERE
I played around with the rows most of the day Wednesday.
It is now finished and on my Quilt Table.
I hope to have it quilted by the time this Post goes live!
I want to take it to share at the Quilt Shops in Kennewick and Richland on Friday.

Bye Bye May!!! NewFO Report.

May for ME!

The May for ME is over. It's time for the Busy Moth of JUNE!!!
May Goals
1- A Feathered Star is my choice for the MAY NewFo.   No Feathered Star Done
I didn't get even 1/2 of my Feathered Star done.
Eleanor only made 1/2 the Block HERE
I will just try again to make this for JUNE's NewFO. Finger's crossed!!
I started this NewFO in January- but it wasn't revealed until May.
This is one sample Block started this month for my Oldest Son and his Wife. Married 15 years now.

2-I want to add 4 more LUS BLOCKS  ( BOW)
there were 5 Fridays in May ---5 Done
Total= 37 of the 121

3- Make the Globetrotting BOM Block for LONDON, ENGLAND!!!! Done
Pattern is HERE.

4- Sew K, L & M blocks for my A-Z for Ewe and Me BOM Not Done
If I didnt' have plans for the very last day of MAY...
I could work on the BOM blocks

Two out of the 4 goals DONE, not too bad considering I got a couple Quilting Finishes!

I un-sewed most of the Feathered Wreaths on my Nabby's Dowry and attached the binding and hanging sleeve.  Here it is - back on the frame- ready for re-quilting.
I like that I could use the binding and sleeve to pin it on the leaders.

I really was a slacker this week, too many fun books to read on my Kindle.
Thanks to Blogging  and FB friends who post Free Kindle book links.
I didn't even take time to Blog much this week. Sorry, NO Wednesday Posting.
I got these in the Mail and Bought THIS in May!

Tomorrow-- this Grandson gets Baptized.
He's #7 of the bunch.  The Tradition continues...
I love my Grandma time!!!

Last Saturday Grandpa got to go along with us on our 8 Year old Grandchild Date.
At first I was upset, then I re-thought it and decided I was being selfish.
I need to share this time whenever I can with GRANDPA!
It was a very good thing he did- it meant there was somebody to take our picture together.
He has to work so He won't be at the Baptism- :(

The Memorial Day Crowther gathering continued too.
It doesn't matter that we aren't all there- a picture to remember the DAY.

Here's a picture from another Memorial Day a while ago. (this one was taken with my camera)
This might have been the 1st one we had in Mesa.

January NewFO

I put down my New BOM from The Quilt Show HERE as my January NewFO.

I still need to fuse the letters (A,F & G) on and stitch them together with the corresponding pieced block.
The new Blocks for February will be posted today HERE.
We get to make B, C & D.

January is a great time to start a LOT of new things.  There are so many in Blogland to choose from.
Not to mention the many ideas in the magazines that come in my mailbox...
