Happy Fri-YAY!

I didn't get a Chuck the Duck in my MSQC package so I printed one for myself.

I had to order the Missouri Star Fabric line in White, Aqua and the Multi Print.
The Block Magazine is a Duplicate, AGAIN!
 I wish I didn't keep doing that.

I'm working on the Great Grandsons quilts again.
Gotta finish them so I can make the one I really want to make.
This was my Post for Yesterday's "Must Make"

Exploding Heart in PURPLES!
The Purple Tote is over-flowing!

Today was "Favorite Post"
I couldn't get a screenshot so I took a picture of my computer.
We almost made it to see this place in Southern Utah last September.
Moab is way down there.
The Heart Quilt is super cute too!

IGQuiltfest is over for another year and I'm sad to see it go.
National Quilting Month was fun to see something different every day.
I miss the Blogger's Quilt Festival Amy used to do.

The Daffodils are blooming at the Temple.
And this is blooming at home.

Enjoy the General Conference Weekend!
We'll be with the YSA all Day Saturday.
Banana Bread, Pancakes and yummy Bacon, Chocolate Milk, and Cold Cereal.

Design Wall Monday - February 12, 2018

It's Abraham Lincoln's Birthday!!
Not Presidents Day.
I stitched all day Saturday working on
my Spelling Bee Saturday blocks.
I made a total of 27!

That's about a full alphabet, wow.
I can cut out a Bunch while I watch the Olympics, I found.
Cut and Stack them between the pages of the Spelling Bee Book.
I want to do the Bake Sale SAL too, but there is no Time!!!

And The Tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Company called to me!
HERE is the Link.

Made from 10" Squares!
I cut my own and it was a fun set of Blocks to make.
Wouldn't it be cute on a Table for  Valentines!???

It's a Busy week, so I knew if I didn't put the Pedal to the Metal on Saturday
this wouldn't be ready to show at Guild tomorrow.
This is a sneak Peek!
Come back Wednesday to see the full project flimsy.
If I'm lucky, it might be Quilted.

Linking up HERE for Design Wall Monday.

This happenened on Sunday!

Our 10 year old Grandson who lives in Walla Walla performed at Cordiner Hall
with the Walla Walla Symphony and Wa-High Drumline.
"Orchestra Rocks"
He is a 5th Grader and what a priviledge it is to play at this famous Hall.
He got a little distracted.
I took the smaller pictures of him waiting to play.
He even got caught reading his book, lol
Many faces of Jackson...
Next year it will be "Orchestra Swings"
I am so glad to be able to watch the Grandchildren who live close when they are Performing.
It's the most fun part of being Grandma right now.
Even if it makes Grandma Tired...from Too much Fun!
Are you watching the Olympics???
I am trying to in my Spare time...

Friday FUN!

It's FRIDAY!!!
We are counting down the days-
Judy D says 4 more 'Get-Ups'

Yesterday, I didn't have much to do and it was a Rainy forecast.
I got my long forgotten Jelly Roll challenge strips out and found a Tutorial
over at Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Jenny calls it Sticks and Stones.
HERE is the Link.
Thanks to Brandi for linking it.

I got this all cut and sewed all the Blocks yesterday.
The tan squares didn't have enough contrast.
I knew when I got this Jelly Roll they weren't my COLORS!
Just need to sew them together and put on a couple borders.
Oh well...it will keep someone warm.

My Bags are packed and I'm cutting more strips for the SWAP.
My Bobbins are wound and the blades on the Rotary cutters are changed.
Gotta find a Special Fat Quarter.

There's Nothing on my Calendar today!
What will I find to keep me busy!???

WOW Working with 4-H

I missed the 1st day of Advanced 4-H Quilt Camp
The 2nd day went pretty well.
I help the same girl as last year.
She had another helper Monday and Today because I have other things on my Calendar.

Here are her blocks laid out.

Her rows got all sewn and she will add the cross-sashing and start the quilting while I am gone.
The pattern came from Missouri Star Quilting tutorial HERE
Of course it makes me think of making one for myself or for the next grandbaby...

This one was made as a sample. Like an I-Spy!
Funny thing is I went expecting a whole different quilt.
HERE's the link I looked at mistakenly.
for "Diamond Squared"
It reminded me of Bonnie Hunter's "Weed Wacker" pattern HERE.

Meanwhile, a few stitches are happening Between when I play with the Grandsons.
Wait until you see the Ironic thing I have to show you on Friday!

Advanced Quilt Camp- DONE "Creative Goodness"

I had to wait to post until I had the pictures from the Quilt Camp
Today was the last day-
Bindings were attached, sewn down by machine and labels made ready to sew on by hand.

Jan E from Quilt Guild taught them to make the
"Double Slice Layer Cake"
from Missouri Star Quilt Company HERE
It was quick and easy piecing.
Each quilt reflected the personality of the Quilter.
The kids ranged in age from 12-17
There were enough volunteers for each girl to have a helper.
These quilts will be on display at our Walla Walla County Fair- Labor Day week-end.

I spent Thursday sleeping as much as I could after my ALL Night Quilting on my
2015 Row by Row Quilt.  I'll have that on my Design Wall Monday.
It will be delivered to a shop where there isn't a winner yet on Saturday.

Jenny Doan has done it again.  See her NEW tutorial on the Disappearing Hourglass 2 HERE.

I should be making Christmas gifts for the Family gathering tomorrow.

I used it for a Leader/Ender of the Grand Illusion this morning.
I think these are from the "Mary" line

The NEW Clue for the Quiltville Grand Illusion Mystery is ready to sew too.
Link is HERE.
I FINALLY got all of the Clue 2 Parts all made and trimmed.

I forgot to show these cuties with thier ornaments in Wyoming.

Tina knew how to make my day, Her daughter is wearing the crocheted Dress I made for her and I got to make and dress the Baby that morning.

I got some goodies from my Blogging Quilter friend, my Illinois Friend and my Quilt Buddy.

Goodies from Lynn
I haven't opened the gift from my friend Wendy.
The wrapping was torn and I know what it is though.  LOL

It's a good day, I just got news I WON a Giveaway over HERE

Design Wall Monday- September 1, 2014

The Fair is Officially over for a Year.
It was a great Success as far as my area was concerned.
I enjoyed meeting New folks in town and other Quilt Lovers.
I invited them to the Quilt Show later this month and to our Monthly Guild Meeting next week.
Sharing my LOVE of the Art is my idea of Fun!
I'm grateful for the ladies who came to spend time helping me.
Especially on Sunday while I attended my Church meetings and took a nap.
Saturday evening I heard someone say I was making good use of my Time.
Another said I was addicted.
Indeed I did well in Keeping myself Busy and Productive.
The Disappearing Pinwheel worked up very FAST and here are the two quilts/Flimsies I made.

DIL #4 Said she liked the White Stars so this one is for thier
"Little Buckaroo"

I changed the white blocks direction and put it with the Blue stars.
This one is ready for Quilting also.
These flimsies are 48" x 48"

I have 5 of the Blue Star Blocks left to play with.
So I could get 3 quilts from my Blocks made at the Fair.
Now to find the backing to quilt them at the same time on "Helga".

I had the Ransom's come for a while Saturday to see me at the Fair.  She posted HERE.

Pat gave us the Globetrotting Block for September early
I made it Saturday evening and posted it to Flickr and Facebook.
We travel to Barcelona, Spain
