Getting it DONE- progress and goals #4

My list for MARCH
1- Sew borders on Easy "Busy" Street  DONE! Quilted and shown to Bonnie Hunter at Block Party!
2- Cut and Sew Pinwheels for Cassie's Mariner's Compass RR quilt- Part done-

3- Continue working on "The Romance Continues" Block of the Month blocks- 6 left to make- DONE Shown HERE
4- Sew the 2nd "Jack of Hearts" Mystery to Flimsy- :( NOT DONE
5- Start 3 NewFo's at the Block Party, (this one will be easy to do) DONE, Really started 4 + Swap Blocks.

THIS WAS MY BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT FOR MARCH!
Goals for APRIL
1-Sew More Pinwheels for Mariner's compass RR, add last borders to make Flimsy TBQ (to be Quilted)

2-Re-cut & Sew Sashings on Bow Tie Blocks- maybe to Flimsy.
I sewed the short strips back together into one long strip.
3- UN-Sew this block and fix the April Fooling from when I stitched it together this morning. :/
Only 35 more to make for "MIDNIGHT FLIGHT" quilt. As you can see the HOT PINK Block WON! That means a LOT more 4-patches to spin...with 88 pieces in each block this could take a long while.

4- Make Block of the Month for Guild and Tips board to go with it.

That should be enough to keep me busy. If I get all these done, I'll get out the re-make of the Challenge #1 from the McCall's Quilt Design Star Contest that I promised to make for Brant and Tina's Baby Girl.
OR SEW the Block of the Month "The Romance Continues" together into a Flimsy.

Getting it DONE and NewFo reporting

YEA, for March! The weather man says we will have temperatures in the mid 60's.  I hope that means Spring is really coming soon.  I can hardly wait for  the Dogwoods to Bloom...
I have gone out to Thread and Bolts every day this week to take pictures or sew while Lynn was in the studio working on her U-Taupia Quilt.  In-between I spent some time on the Bernina at home and got a bit accomplished on my "Get it Done" and NewFo list (Below)

 "Getting it DONE" in February
1- Work on Easy Street again- it is to the Flimsy stage, just needs a border or two. YEA! :)
2- Sew the Bow ties into rows- didn't find the sashing fabric to re-cut my sashings that were TOO Short. :(
3- Keep up with the Block of the Month-

I have made 7 Alternate Blocks, 4 Half Blocks and sewn sashing on them.
(They aren't all in this picture)  This may be on DWM.  :))

4- Start the Quiltmaker 4- part Bonnie Hunter Mystery (NewFO)- I didn't get to this one. :(

5- Start the Temecula Row Quilt Blocks (NewFO)- This one is nearly done.  Just needs the last border fabric. :)

I started a NewFO that isn't listed for February.  The Sailboats that are HERE.  I realized it wouldn't make the timetable for Trends. So I quit working on it. It will be a Baby Boy quilt for a Future Grandchild or Charity.  Even though I'm Thinking Pink for both DIL's, my bases are sort of covered.  Ultrasounds are this month so we will know very soon.

3 of the 5 got worked on, some almost to the FLIMSY/ Quilt top stage.  Seems I can get things to that point but then am stopped until I get my Quilting Table situation solved.  No way can I afford to send them out to be quilted!

My list for MARCH
1- Sew borders on Easy Street (aka: "Busy Streets")
2- Cut and  Sew Pinwheels for Cassie's Mariner's Compass RR quilt (Pictured below)
3- Continue working on "The Romance Continues" Block of the Month blocks- 6 left to make
4- Sew the 2nd "Jack of Hearts" Mystery to Flimsy
5- Start 3 NewFo's at the Block Party, (this one will be easy to do)

How'd I do in January?

Well, I didn't get my goals achieved as posted  HERE.
Easy Street isn't to the Filmsy,  I didn't sew on the Mariner's compass or Quilt the Jack of Heart Mystery quilt either.  So here's to February and a hope for some progress on the LIST of UFO's or PIT's (Projects in Totes).
Check out who had more progress on their January projects HERE
For "Getting it DONE" in February I want to-
1- Work on Easy Street again
2- Sew the Bow ties into rows
3- Keep up with the Block of the Month
4- Start the Quiltmaker 4- part Bonnie Hunter Mystery (NewFO)
5- Start the Temecula Row Quilt Blocks (NewFO)

E-mailing back and forth with Denise, I am thinking I'll Blog MWF this year and you can follow along better.   I posted 8 times less in January than I did last year.
Mondays will be the normal Design Wall Postings and or Link-ups
Wednesdays will be to show what I'm working on midweek.  I could have a link up on this day too.
Fridays will be for "Finally Friday" and ready for the week-end postings could include a link-up to Patchworktimes "What's on my Needles"?  I need to knit more. LOL
I got this neat- o Daily Journal to put my progress day by day on my quilting. I love the scrappy stripe-y Spools and applique on the cover.

In the short time I spent sewing I did get my Guild Block Lotto blocks made and my Blocks of the Month .
I was really good at my Starting something NEW in January. I played with some cute blocks from these books. I will have them on the Design Wall on Monday.

How can I resist not Starting the 4-Part Mystery this coming month from Bonnie Hunter. It's in the March/April Issue.
I also got these NEW books to READ.

That should keep me busy between Dr visits and the Eye surgery I have next week.  My Pathology report wasn't clean like I hoped-- Basea cell Carcinoma that has more tissue that needs to be removed so it doesn't grow back. This wasn't in my PLANS but I am SOOOO grateful I found it and went to get it checked out!

Getting it done- Quilting goals for 2013

Out of habit I revised my UFO list for 2013

Judy L has changed the way we will do our UFO Challenge.  Instead of the list and working on one UFO a month we will list some do-able goals at the end of each month.
I have several quilts on the TBQ list, I really want some of those finished. I'm trying not to start any NEW projects for at least a couple of months and just work on these UFO's and Easy Street so it doesn't become a UFO!
So for January- my goal is:
1-Make the two sets of blocks that are the center of Easy Street and get it to Flimsy.
2- Quilt the Jack of Hearts Quilt
3- Make the last part of the Mariner's Compass for Cassie's Quilt
This should keep me busy enough for the start of the year.
