Going Back in Time... & Guild Lotto

It's Blog-O-Versary time!!!
My 1st posting was on August 13, 2008 HERE
That's TOMORROW!
A LOT of typing and picture posting has happened in all that time.
1349 posted Blogs in 7 years.

I would like to have a GIVE-Away to celebrate!
I picked up an extra Pin from the Row By Row.

I have a few other surprises to share.
Maybe an Original Quiltin'grandma Designs pattern of your choice.

Anybody game?
Just tell me
1- How long have you been Blogging.
2- What your favorite part of Blogging is.
3- How you came to find my Blog
(you can include it all in one comment.)

For me it's the connections I make with Blogging friends.
I have met a few of them in person. Super FUN!
Doing similar projects ie: Quiltville Mysteries, QAL's, SAL's
Design Wall Monday with Judy L and Creative Goodness with QuiltShop Gal.
Thanks for reading and especially for all your kind comments!
Edited:  GIVEAWAY ENDS August 20th
This Giveaway is CLOSED!
Tuesday night was My Monthly Guild night.

I got my #2 Lotto Block made while watching 2 grandsons.
This one is a bit different than it'is supposed to be.
I will keep this one and turn in the other one.
There were 9 Blocks turned in and 2 that were brought last month.
I left them in the bag I took to Guild in July.
Congrats to Darlene D who won the Blocks.

Our Guild President and Vice President with Ice Cream cake to
CELEBRATE our reaching 100 Members!
They even put our LOGO on the top.
Yummy stuff!

The Theme for the Walla Walla Valley Quilt Festival next month is "Outside my Window"
Making a quilt for the Challenge is on my mind this week.
I found a fun Block on the Quilter's Cache HERE
I have made these before with a more narrow window... we shall see how I like them bigger with the fussy cut square smaller.
Balloons outside my Window with Green and cream or
Patriotic flags waving with a Wood grain print and tan

Here is the Demo Board.
TIP this month-- make sure when you cut the Miters you have all the fabric face-up!
Turn the template over to cut the Brown.
The rest is easy stitching to the Dot at 1/4"
I'm thinking a quilt made with a bunch of these blocks would be fun.
The Constant fabric is the Brown Woodgrain
I am requesting that they make the four parts and not sew them together.

"Beat the Blues"- Blog Hop Party

Blog Hop Party with Give-Aways

I thought I was too late for the Blog Hop Party!  Sew glad to wake up and find there was still time to post and register my Blog with the Quilting Gallery.  They have over 200 BLOGGERS participating. I only have until Noon EST to post.  I CAN DO THAT! The only thing left is to choose something to "GIVEAWAY"!  How about some (6) Fat Quarters from "NOTEWORTHY" the new Sweetwater fabric line?  Here's what the MODA website says about it. Click the link to see the pretty fabrics I'll be choosing from.

Noteworthy by Sweetwater
Remember when we actually wrote things down with a pencil and paper? Today there is an app for all of that. Noteworthy was inspired by that pencil and paper time. I used to love doodling in school and my notes often looked like the "Bucket List" print- with random lists, stars and flowers all over the page. Our family phone book was covered with doodles- much like the prints from this line. Noteworthy was also inspired by the important things in life, and we hope the "Bucket List" print will inspire you to think about your own bucket list - about what is important to you. The color scheme of this collection is one of our favorites. It's fresh, happy and makes me long for summer. Just like when I was doodling in high school- I was always longing for summer!

So all you have to do is be a Follower of my Blog and answer this Question.
"What did you like to doodle when you were in school. "
I'll put the numbers in the Random Generator.
Please leave your e-mail with your comment if you are a No-reply Blogger.
No-reply Bloggers can't WIN because there is no way to contact them.
For USA residents only. Sorry, I am not shipping Internationally this time.
Comment before March 14th for the chance to WIN.
Have fun Blog-hopping!

Day 3 - Quiltmaker's 100 Block Tour

The block that is on today's list of Designers is the one Block I didn't finish.  I tried to make it but failed.  Celtic Hand Applique just isn't for me.   I think I could do it as Fusible Applique and make it work.  That's what I feel being a Tester was, to help make the patterns more understandable and find and solve the problems.  I was sad to not be able to solve this one.

Click HERE to go to the Quilty Pleasures Blog and Hop the designers featured today.
Leave a Comment on any of My Blog Tour Posts for a chance to win one of my TWO Extra copies of the Magazine.

DRAWING at the end of Blog Hop. November 9.

I'll make the announcement on November 10th.

My rules are:
1- You need to be a Follower
2- Leave a comment on one or more of my Blog Tour Postings. (each time increases your chances)
3- Visit the Designer's Blogs and come back to tell me which Block you like best.

That means at least 3 chances to win!
