It's gonna be a Flimsy Fri-Yay

Tis the time to get these two Flimsy centers bordered and ready for the Quilting.

The bookcase Quilt Border auditioning!
"Yep, It looks like a bookcase," DH says!

My Purple Passion
Quiltmaker 40 Year Jubilee Quilt
It needs a bunch of HSTS after I put on a thin border.
My Purple tote is still overflowing!

The Yellow Lillies and Purple Petunias make me smile!

And this 10" square layer cake just brought me a Christmas Chuck the Duck!
It's Hydrangeas!  Oh My!!

We took a picture with most of the Moses Lake people who will be leaving our Temple Shift.
We are gonna miss them!!
But we got a new Coordinator and we get to keep our Hermiston ladies.
We'll try again next week to get everyone.

Tomorrow is Kimberbell Day!
A 'REAL' holiday for us!
I hope to spend some time watching and learning how to use Kimberbell stuff better!
There is so many other places to be on Saturday...
Plus a wedding later.

Happy Fri-Yay!
July is almost over.
Watch for the Blog-o-versary Post next week.

Almost a Flimsy - Fri-Yay!

I worked through the whole day on Wednesday  like a Quilting Queen!
(After the Haircut)
But like Potato Chips, I would finish one and had to try to make the next...
NOTE-these photos of the sections are in no particular order.

Puzzles are great to keep a Quilter's mind on task.

Loving all the Different Purples!

This one has a fabrics in it the screams, Look at ME!!!!

Sometimes a colored sashing was added to the section.
Sometimes an added Background was needed.
One of these Blocks was too small.
I didn't check for Errata on the pattern and I didn't want to remake the block.
I just added some coping strips.
I did find a few 16 patch blocks that were too big...
I did use the "Jack" on those and re-sewed them to fit where they went.

It was fun to dig into my Purple stash tote and find just the right thing.

I found a fabric that is close enough for sashing.
I ran out of my Shadow Play, no time to run to the store after Midnight. Or wait for shipping.
I loved the directions to piece the sections together.
Like a great, big puzzle!

9 Sections - all the blocks and sashings put together.
Once I looked at this photo I saw one block turned.
Can you guess which Block is turned wrong?
Easy Fix today.
Then I can put the sections together.

I am so glad when the Bi-monthly instructions said to make X number of Flying Geese,
that I went totally scrappy!
There is an HST and Piano Key Border to make while this marinates awhile.
More scraps leaving the totes.

Great job Quiltmaker Magazine and Denise Starck.
Denise Starck is one of the Staff members of Quiltmaker.
Beautiful Blocks from Bonnie Hunter's ,Addicted to Scraps' column.
I enjoyed my evening of Quilt Yoga while Paul went to the Family History Library.
