December 1st 2022

The day all Missouri Star Quilters and Jenny Box Recipients have waited for is Here!
I wrapped gifts for Paul to open too.
They're in the tote.
Nativities go up first at my house.
The flat serfaces were cleared for Thanksgiving so it made my job easier.

I love Nativities and have so many to share on my Social Media.
I can't share the Secret Stitching so I share the things I can.

This was Yesterday...
New T-shirt with Embroidery design speaks truth. I like to Party and by party I mean stay home and Sew. I got to do that again today!!

QUILTVILLE MYSTERY LINK-UP PART 2

It was another SOLO day in the LOFT.
I  got a few HSTS made in both colors.
You can see the Blue ones by the Essential Triangle Tool in the top right of this collage.
The Essential Triangle Tool made them come out just the right size!
Careful cutting and 1/4" stitching is the trick.
Linking up early this morning,
HERE'S the link
Got my String Frenzy book in the 3rd round

I shared how to use the Essential Triangle Tool with Mae at WWSVANDSPAS.
Jessica stopped by,  but is resisting the Mystery because of too many in totes unfinished.

I cut the a bunch of Purples and have them ready to stitch between my sessions of Christmas  decorating.
Nativities go up first, then the Tree.

I took this one out 1st.
It is one I bought last year when I picked up Paint Chips at Lowe's.

The Nativity is up at the Columbia River Temple.

We got home just in time for the final hours of the Walla Walla Stake Christmas Festival.
Paul wore his Nativity tie!  Lynn found it for me to give him when he was the Bishop!
We had a nearly private viewing of the 1st Presidency Christmas Broadcast from
Salt Lake City at Cameo Heights Mansion.
Brother Fielding has put up a Star that can be seen for miles, on a hill by the Mansion.
A great way to begin the Season of Christmas!

Posing with the Christ child figure of his Mother's Nativity.
This is a Special one to display!
Just one of the many Treasures he brought home after his Mother passed last year.
He took this picture of me putting the Angel on Top of the Tree.
I needed a taller step stool.

 Closer-up picture of Mom's Nativity
She always put hers on a piece of Velvet.

I cleared out the pictures from the top of my BIG Cabinet to Display more of my Big Nativities.
These are just a few of the Many, I have collected.
On the Top is the Mexico Nativity sent home by Elder Brant, by request in 2004.

The tree is UP, Quilts are out, Christmas Library is accessible.
I have given Grandpa Paul a Book each year, same as the Children's families.

The Young Women have offered to do SERVICE by helping decorate for Christmas.
I am still deciding which ornaments to adorn the TREE this year.

The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints is encouraging us to do as the Savior did.
"Light the World"
HERE is a Link to the PDF Calendar to use this Season.
Many are posting their good works on Social Media, using the #LIGHTtheWORLD
I just want to keep my acts of kindness anonymous.

Yesterday was going to be a Candy Making Day - interrupted by the Snow fall.
Gotta have a sunshine-y day to make my Momma's Divinity.
Truffles and coconut filling are ready to DIP.
Just waiting for a clear day to play with my Sister!

My Quilty Christmas...

When cleaning and preparing for the Family to come last Saturday to Celebrate together...
I decided that I needed a little more "Christ" in my Christmas.
I have several Nativities I didn't get out this year.
I wanted to share a few more with the family and my Blogging friends.

On the shelf is the first Nativity I bartered for when we lived in Mesa.
My Nativity Tree Skirt is on the Rocking chair, Purple Paper pieced Tree Skirt Lynn W. made, House & Tree Quilt from Christmas Around the World, corner of Christmas Postcard Quilt on couch.

Jim Shore Nativity on Table runner like the ones I made for my girls when I worked at Hancock's.

3 Nativities in the China Hutch on a Table Runner made by my DH's Sister Anne.
L-R from Wendy T, a Mini Water Globe Nativty, and silver Water Globe Nativity from Lynn W.

Pillow from Marg in Australia, Postcard quilt from Quiltmania Class.
Mini Ornaments from Janet O hang above Nativity from Lynn W.
I put my Wonky Tree Mini I made with Buttons on it to represent Symbols of Christmas above the sink in the Kitchen.
My Christmas "Sarah's Star" SBS Swap quilt in the toy room.

I already showed the Christmas Lone Star on the Bed downstairs.
My Celtic Christmas Solstice has been on a Bed since Thanksgiving time at Brant & Tina's.

I think I need a few Mini Christmas Themed quilts to go under some of my Nativities.
I haven't counted lately low many TOTAL Nativities that I have collected.
It's nice to have something to Collect and surprising how many you acquire from friends who know you love them.

Thanks Bonnie for another Quilty Link-up this Christmas.  Click HERE to see more.
Wishing Everyone a very Merry, Quilty Christmas from our House to yours!

Nice displays arranged by Sister Inglima!

Nativities from all over the world

See the Doilies over the glass candy dishes turned up-side-down???
I like this idea A LOT!!!  A Tea light underneath to glow.  Gotta try this.
Thrifting in my future...

And on Sunday, We drove up to my Hometown to surprises my sister, who was singing in a Christmas Contata at the Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.  We couldn't go to Moses Lake without a quick visit with two of my Brothers...Sharing a bit of Christmas with them.

Another Christmas Tradition is the Mini Trees the Jr Club of Walla Walla sponsors
at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. We went to see them for Family Night. Just a few of them pictured.

Big Tree at the Marcus Whitman Hotel
Can you tell I LOVE Christmas Trees!!?

Wednesday evening was our first chance to see two Grandsons in their Band Concert
Great Job boys! So handsome in their white shirts and ties.
The hall leading to the Kennewick HS Auditorium was lined with decorated Trees.
New Ornaments from friends and the Ward Relief Society
I found this Nativity that I received for my Birthday, last January from Lynn.
I almost forgot about it.
Remember
Jesus is the Reason for the Season!!!
Most of my Christmas gifts are wrapped and I'm HAPPY to say I'm done well before Christmas Eve.
This hasn't happened for a very long time...well, possibly NEVER!
Christmas Day will be very different for us this year. Nobody is coming to stay at our house.
Only the 3 Tri-cities families will join us in the afternooon/evening.
