Design Wall Monday - February 20, 2017

It's another Guild Day.
I would be going, but DH spent yesterday at the "Expensive Hotel" aka: Hospital.
He has had a few episodes of recurring A- Fib.  So he'll be having a Stress Test today.
Thanks for keeping him in your Prayers.

I had just one quilt to show- I will take it to Sew n Vac sometime today instead.
I want to make another version with multiple colors of Churn Dash Blocks.
I have a few extra Pink ones.

ON Saturday I worked on my Crayon Challenge.
The Challenge is making it 24" x 36".
The Crayon Challenge Quilt needs to be registered in this week.
They Extended the Deadline for ONLINE Entries HERE
I can only show you the fabrics- until the Show March 24-25, 2017

I chose the Green for my extra color.
The Purples are so close in value.
It may not end up being my Favorite Quilt but I think I met the Challenge.

I put a few more Pineapple tops together and got 3 more done.
Maybe I do need a Whole Quilt???
A bit of "Frogging" did occur.
That's when I decided it was time to QUIT!

These Pictures are from my Phone, (sad face)
My Camera has gone missing in action again.
I remember putting it someplace after taking Pictures last weekend with my En Provence.
I said to my self, "I hope I remember where I put this"

Design Wall Monday on Tuesday - January 24, 2017

It was a Whirlwind week-end.
I have something NEW that I can show on my Design Wall.
At Road2CA I took a class with the 3 Sisters of "SewkindofWonderful"
There were 8 in our Group, 5 of us took the class.
It was great fun.
We got this Group shot but not one with our Teachers, Sorry...
I had to borrow some Background from the teachers.  Oops, left mine behind.
I need more to finish the tops of my Pineapple.
It was fun to take a Class together.
Pineapples were all different colors.

I slept under Doug's Grandmother's Quilt and woke up under Yvonne's STAR.
We were treated like celebrities and fed like Queens.
Thanks DOUG!!!
I had a few "Quilt Star" sightings
A picture with Eleanor for Brandy, lol

& one with our Guild's Featured Teacher in April

Teamwork to push the Camera Button.

There are so many more photos, more to come
I'm tired and have a quilt to get finished before Wednesday night.

and a Video of All the quilts is HERE

My neice lives in Heber. After many texts we made arrangements and she picked me up
so we could have a visit and Lunch on Friday.

I added the Trunk Show by the Crazy Old Ladies - Emily Herrick

Deonn Stott of Quiltscapes showed us how to make the Origami Hexies for the Lamb quilt on the
May/June Quiltmaker Magazine cover.
She used the purple hexie I chose to demo for Hexigami,  the link shows the steps to make it.

Here are the Ladies behind "Sew Kind of Wonderful" HERE
Jenny Pedigo & Helen Robinson
I got their Quick Curve Ruler after watching the DEMO.

There was a challenge to Instagram a 'selfie'.
I don't have that on my phone but I took a selfie anyway.

Melissa Corry Happy Quilting and I with the sign.
She was there in the OPEN SEW Area with her MIL.
Lots of stuff to keep my Quilt Passion enjoyable.

Yummy Fresh Pretzels and baggettes before our dinner arrived,

Before leaving I took pictures of the Pond and the Carosel

All of it was so wonderful and I am going to be on a HIGH for weeks after meeting all the ladies whose blogs I follow or have visited.  I met Amy Ellis Amy's Creative Side  but didn't get to take a pic with her. :(
It was great to have so many of them in the same place where I could meet them and get a few more
Siggy squares signed for my quilt.
