Friday is for Far Away Family & Festival!

I  made my return trip home yesterday .
I really didn't want to leave...
But, if I stayed, I was afraid.
Mostly of Friday or Saturday traffic!
I left before I got emotional.
The baby and I  with a cute photobomber who called me Ga ga!
We spent a lot of time reading books and listening to music on my phone.
I miss them already
Even this little guy.
We had lots of talks and walks.
Here we are waiting at the school bus stop.
I told him that I was leaving,  but would bring Grandpa back next time.
I got my Chick-fil-A
1400 miles put on my Honda Fit.
I learned that I really like when DH drives!!
My navigational skills are lacking.
At least 3 times I got turned around, down the wrong road!
I stayed in Tina's parents RV.
BIG THANKS to Doug & Teresa!
I had a hard time finding it in the dark so
Taking a picture of it and the sign helped.
The Rental they are staying is on Parkway.
I had to take a picture of it on my way out.

I made a few stops... yes, at Quilt shops!
I picked up 3 patterns - 2018 Row by Row
I know I didn't really NEED anymore.

This weekend is the Fall Trends in Portland. I will miss being there!
My Quiltville Mystery and Elizabeth's 2nd Quilt are there.

It's also Quilt Festival here in Walla Walla.
And, one of our Merrie Miss girls got married! Her open house is on Saturday.
All these things were urging me to come home. And I missed my DH a little.

A candid family shot, taken at the house.
The Older boys are so helpful.
And the Etna Ward family has brought in lots of good food.

I'm going to see the Quilts at Festival today!
6 days away, I  need my quilt show fix.

Quilty Fun - Almost DONE!!!

Monday the Bee Block was shown over HERE   Lori Holt's Blog is HERE.
There is even a pattern to embellish the Bee block on the PDF HERE.
I have it drawn on, ready to stitch it before I sew the Center section all together.
It will say BEE HAPPY!
I've already added my Pictures to the Flickr Group HERE
I really want to Win some of Lori's Fabrics and the Alphabitties would be nice too.

We've spent some time playing with Grandchildren this week and enjoying having the
Colorado family, (except for the dad) here to visit.
Janessa took pictures for me to Share here.

Janessa took her boys to visit her Grandma Crowther Tuesday.
She spent the day visiting with 3 of her friends in Tri-Cities too.
We met up for Dinner at Joe and Kori's home.
Jacob loves to hold his Cousin!

He and the cousins had fun playing outside riding bikes and scooters and Jumping on the Trampoline.

We had delicious Pork Tacos!  Kori  shared the secret to the recipe- Root Beer and Brown Sugar.
I made "Jigglers" and Grandpa made some 'Colby -safe' Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Christen brought yummy Blueberry Cobbler.
I took this Picture on Sunday of the Almost 3 year old in his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle gear.
Spring Break means Grandchildren come to Play at Grandma's!!!

Beautiful - EASTER Day

EASTER- 2012
It was a beautiful Day made even better with Family.  We had a great Easter Sacrament meeting with great talks about the Savior and how grateful we should all be for the "At-one-ment".  A reminder of the origin of the word brings more meaning to it.  I love the Songs of EASTER,  I was able to actually get out all the "Alleluias" without squeaking.  I heard my mother singing in my ear.  It was the 32nd Anniversary of my Father's passing picking grapefruit in Arizona.  I wasn''t saddened today- I have a peace that I will see him and my Mother again because of Jesus' Resurrection.  I had to take some pictures of the Beauty outside today- Even finding a Worm is a good thing to me- that means Spring!  Actually his big sister found the worm, we talked him into holding it... see how excited he is?
Andy and NaDell's girls "posing" for Grandma in their Easter Dresses.  Abigail is wearing the one I bought for Elizabeth's 1st Easter, Olivia is wearing the Dress Elizabeth wore when Vincent was Blessed (just remembering, NaDell).  We were waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive for our Easter dinner.

4 Ransoms

A family 'tradition' remembered almost too late- Olives on the fingers.  Colby shared some of his.  Abigail below ate hers before I could catch her with it on her finger.  She thinks Grandma is silly to put it on her finger.  Food is for eating- not for playing...her mom says.
Joe and Kori's boys- Sam hugs his big Brother as I snapped their picture by the Daffodils.
We missed having everyone but as you could see the house was full.   The Paul & Mary Crowther family is scattered this year from Washington to Idaho to Colorado to Ohio and Cuba.

Black Friday??

I said I wasn't going to miss my sleep and go to shop at Freddies in Tri-cities this year and I kept that promise to myself.  While we, Tina the Boys, Jeff and I slept -Paul took Brant out for a few bargains.  My blender didn't work to make a smoothie on the day before Thanksgiving so that's what Paul bought for my Anniversary gift. I won't divulge the bargains that Brant found.
Nor will I tell what Tina and I had in our cart at the store we ventured out to after breakfast.  My Niece, Danette called to say she finally made it to Walla Walla and was at the store that Tina wanted to go to anyway so we went to see her there.
Danette and her daughter Brittney looking at cute stuff for the twins.

Ready to make the purchases we posed for a picture taken by Brittney to save the memory of our Black Friday Trip... We only got went to one store because I had a Chiropractor appt that I had to get to.  Danette and Brittany came by the house while I was gone and we had a better visit.  Thanks, Danette - for calling to say you were in town and for coming over.  And Thanks to Tina for going with me to shop a bit. It' more fun with someone to share it with.  Most will be putting up their Christmas Trees and Christmas Lights this week-end.  Janessa's already ahead of the game, her tree was up last week-end.  Mine will wait until after the first Sunday of DECEMBER as usual.  Not sure when or if  the Christmas lights  will go up.
