Monday - progress on Old Town

I have all the sashings sewn and am ready to
web this Mystery.
I entered it in the Tri-City Quilt Show.
Gotta get it to the finished line!
It takes a little switching around but I'm done
playing, time to get sewing.

We went back to our Connell Ward Building.
It was a sad occasion.
I was so surprised to see a Doll I made for her
on the table of memories.
Made in the 1980's

Had to take a photo by the sign.

I am nursing my back, so I can sew later.
Found our Tens unit and got some sleep!
Chiro today and icing help too.

It's a FriYay!

I can't not use the cute sashing intended for
My Old Town Mystery Quilt.
I didn't do the Stitch &  Flip Corners on them.
Today is not a day for extra steps.

My Bleached Denim came so I can catch up on my
RBD Block Challenge Blocks.

There are more Blue hsts to press for the
Ocean Waves Quilt.
It might not make this Quilt show.
Deadline is at 12 midnight.

I gave a month to Quilt a couple so It is doable.

Have a Happy FriYay,
It's frosty out there.

WOW-WEDNESDAY Deadlines

I have a few Deadlines!
Yes, I impose them on myself.
Some come with Quilt Show entering.
I'm putting pedal to the metal this week.
I got this far yesterday.
I was on a roll, the seams nest so well!
Thanks to Bonnie Hunters pressing directions.
I have one block leftover.
The choice is make the quilt 4x5 or 5x5
as the pattern reads.
That means making more quilt parts.

I'm thinking of a smaller Quilt with simpler sashing, lots of borders and a finish in time for the March Quilt Guild Show.

I'm the BOSS of my Quilt!

Woke up to more freezing temps and drizzle.

It's Feb- burr- are!

This is my last day at home to sew this week.
What will I work on?
 What are you Working On???

Monday- Fickle February

Today is Tri-City Quilt Guild day.
I got these two Charity quilts bound,
and ready to deliver to guild.

The bindings were the same but different
colorway fabrics.
One Blue, one Purple.

Binding is my favorite to watch TV by.

Hubby's Birthday was pretty uneventful.
We did Breakfast at the Maple Counter with locals.
Janessa and her two boys.
We love their pancakes and Flapjacks!
So many varieties!
Where do Lingonberries come from??
Paul got Free Cherry Blinzes for his Birthday treat.
They were out of Ice cream from the local
Pinecone Creamery.
We had an evening of cheering on the WWCC
Women and Men's Basketball. Teams.

Ended the weekend with Chips, dips, Crackers and Cheeseball at our YSA.

These are my Stitches from Saturday.
Kimberbell Mystery Quilt called
"Wildflowers"
What else grows in the garden?
Mushrooms and Snails...
I need to make one more set for February.
I goofed on the thread changes a little.
The background quilting  on the Mushroom, too.
I can fix that in the next two.
New Blocks coming for March soon.

Can't wait to be done with this #ficklefebruary!

Happy President's Day!
Even if he's Not your President.

Happy Heart Day ❤️

Valentines Day 2025
Who asked for the White Stuff??
Hubby is out Snowblowing!
He does the neighbors driveway
 and sidewalks too!
We are hunkered down with no place to go.

I made Sugar Valentines cookies to take with us
to the Temple yesterday.
4 dozen shared!
I ran out of homemade Frosting.
Fluffy White Frosting for cookies left at home.
Sucker brought to Eddie's on Tuesday.

The drive home was one clear lane most of the way.

Accident on hill by 9 mile.

Sad for the ones off the side of the roads!
Slow down!!!

While hubby was outside,
I changed the bed for Spring!
I know it's coming...
Rhododendron Trail

Hubby got us Chocolate

I'm stitching a binding under my heated throw.

Be safe out there!

WOW-WEDNESDAY... More Birthday Gifts

Because I was sick for the Birthday I didn't want to Celebrate.
It took a while to get the gifts.
My girls love me!

Brant and Tina sent this gift home with me when we were in Wyoming.
Hubby has read it already.

My Quilt Buddy looks all year for unique Nativities, she brought my gifts to Quilt Guild.

I am grateful for all my family and friends.
My sister made me a pearl necklace and earrings.
I wore them to Dale's funeral.
I have a gift card to Arby's from my Quilty friend Shelly.
Jane gave me a picture/print of Christ.

Sorry not too much Quilty content on the Blog this week.
I did Stitch a binding at Powered by Fabric.
A charity Quilt for TriCities Guild next week.

It's a Snow Day FriYay

It's still snowing in our neck of the woods!
Schools are canceled for the day.
I braved the Snow packed roads to
 go see my DD #2.

Block 4 of the RBD Challenge
Ready to stitch.
Checking all hst placements!
I can stitch more blue hsts as I sew this block.
I have a lot more Blues to add to my collection.
Trimming of Blue hsts needed for
variety in Ocean Waves blocks.

Found a snowman out in the garage.
Gotta embrace the late Winter weather.

I got caught by the Alien on my path to complete my UFO mission with MGQS.
Had to draw an outfit for the Alien and post it.
Looks like a break from them for awhile.

I have plenty of projects to keep me safe inside during my Stay home Sew Days.

Happy FriYay!

Wow-Wednesday

It was a Snow Day Sew Day, Stay at Home Day.
Darn weather people were right.

Forecasted snow made me skip the Open Sew Day
at Powered by Fabric

I added a few more to the blocks made on Monday.
I can see more of the design.
 Still loving it!
Eddie said if you change the hsts that make the pinwheel to another color, there's more
 fun in the pattern.
Thinking seriously of trying it.

. This morning it looks like this....
Hubby measured for me.

A little over 5"

My packages with the Zazzle items arrived.
I got a long sleeved shirt again this year.

It's  another Snow Day.
 I'll be stitching.

What are you Working on?

1st Monday in February

I knew all weekend it was a Chiro Day today.
I made a few other stops before
I got to play at Powered by Fabric.
I will work on arranging more blocks to stitch.
Gotta get the Pressing figured out.
Here's the results of Stitching in the back
 room by myself.
I kinda love it!!

I sewed on Saturday,  just in the morning.
It was a Quilts of Valor Sew-in Day.
I made 2 Red White and Blue House Blocks.
Log Cabins are just a frustration to me.
The group made over 200 blocks for the cause.

Happy February!
