December Day 16 - Homemade Nativity and Quiltville Chilhowie Mystery

Day 16 Nativity
Made for Paul's Parents in 2008.
So glad I wrote the date on the back.

I can't find the one I made for us in Blues.

The Quiltville Chilhowie Mystery Part 3 is about half done.
I still need to trim the 'dog ears' off the Quarter Triangle Squares.
Part 4 is posted HERE
Ready to stitch some HSTS this week.
Glad I found the Old Essential Triangle Tool behind the Quilting Machine the other day.
I ordered a new one just in case.
It is the BEST ruler for hsts!!!

Paul and I haven't opened our gifts for this day yet.
I'll post them with tomorrow's post.
We have just 9 Gifts left from the 25 we have wrapped.
I heard ladies complaining about all the fuss of Christmas, sad for them.
They said they do less every year.
I am tired, but I want all the Decorations and Nativities on Display and the Treats made and shared.

Happy Birthday to the Baby Jesus!

Wow-Wednesday with Quiltin Grandma Camp

It's the year for showing the Girl's
How to make Hsts with Quiltville's
Essential Triangle Tool.
We practiced on the same fabric.
Hsts can be turned so many different ways to make Fun Blocks.
Even if the Pinwheel spins the wrong way,
It is still a Pinwheel!

Olivia needed to get her Birthday gifts early.

I surprised the girls with Tiaras!
I did some last minute stitching
to finish Elizabeth's shirt.
Grandpa came home in time to take our Picture before Quilt Guild.
We had fun, ate yummy food, played Bingo,
& showed off our shirts.

Today, we make more Hsts!
Different sizes, & colors are in progress.
Come back Friday to see some reveals.

Final Friday of 2017

The Next Part for the Quiltville Mystery is Posted HERE.

I am staying home today and off the roads where the crazies are.
Freezing rain on top of the snow packed roads is not my friend.

Getting my Coral out of the box one more time to cut the Triangles for Part 6.

Bonnie says we're done with this color.
I put in a Brand New Titanium Blade and it is cutting like butter!
Here's what Part 6 will look like.
I have some cutting and stitching to do

The parts Box is FULL, lots of Pieces in these parts so far.

I am ready to make some Blocks next week.
At least I am hoping for a Block reveal.
I have played in EQ8 like Marlene over at Kissed Quilts.
We'll see if we get to show and share a Block at Quilt Guild in January.
No Monday Link-up this New Year's Day!  I'll be back on Tuesday.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Be safe and Hug your Families extra this year!
