Friday Finishes! Shop Hop Pics

Here are my Pictures of the Pam Buda SAL!
I had some fun taking pictures of it outside in my back yard.
As you can tell by the label I finished it September 12, 2014
I waited until I saw it on Pam's Blog.
Pam has been showing her "Airing of the Quilts" HERE

I've been traveling with these Walla Walla Friends Shop Hopping!

This photo was taken on Day two at our last stop.
Below are some of the Quilts the shops made to show how to use Fat Quaters.
We were given a different color at each shop.
Urban Log Cabin

Metro Rings
After visiting all 12 shops our name goes in a drawing for this Machine.

On our LONG trip around from Halfway to Joseph, we saw two Barn Quilts.
Walla Walla Sew n Vac had a Quilt Challenge
Only two of us got our quilts done.
They decided not to have the Shop Hoppers Vote and put our names on them.
We BOTH get a Gift Certificate from the store.
Can you guess which one is mine?

Hunter's Star

The Sewing Basket has a NEW Building in the back.
Check out the Floors!

It's full of fabric, shelves to the Ceiling!
The front section is still a Maze with fabric stacked all around on the floor.

Aunty Ida's Bento Box

This is MINE!
I used the "Block Magic" Books by Nancy Johnson-Srebro.
The car and Maple tree are 6" blocks and the Quilt Shoppe is 15".
It was fun to fussy cut the faces to put inside the car windows.
That fabric is from some of the St Jude line that we had at Hancock's.
I call it
"All Roads Lead to the Shop Hop"
Did you guess right?

Today I Finished my Passport and turned it in at Aunty Ida's in Hermiston, Or
The Fat Quarter's I got from each shop!
I'm not showing the rest of my new Stash Enhancement...

Design Wall Monday- July 7, 2014

This is what I did to Celebrate the 4th of July
Pam had the big Reveal HERE
I changed/re-made the Hourglass blocks. I had to make more of the blue/cream hst's, too.
For some reason I made them in the small size...Call it dumb quilter's brain...
Now that I look at the picture I realize why I got to un-sew that top right corner block.
That should have made me stop sewing.

 All fixed and borders added.
I used some Blue CW fabric with stars on it since it was America's Birthday.
Pam will have an 'Airing of the Quilts' in September so I have a little time to decide how to quilt this.
I took a break from sewing and went to a "Sweets" Baseball Game.
I have to remember next time there is an afternoon game to wear a hat and not forget the sunscreen.
I'll spare you those pictures

I got my Loyal Union Sampler BOW done just in time again this week.
D-10 Gettysburg
I have updated the EQ7 layout again.

I also made a list of the BOW's I haven't made.
If I was caught up the "A", "B" row would be all done.
I have 26 to catch up on in my spare time.

These Star Blocks are going to a QOV project for my Quilt Guild.
Now that these are done I can start on something I really want to work on!
I have a "TESTER" quilt I'm choosing fabrics for.
Lots of choices in my fabric Stash!!!

Can't resist Forever---

Pam Buda has been doing the Market Day SAL for 8 weeks already.
I have all these Civil War fabrics just screaming at me every time I see her post another part for her SAL.
It doesn't take too long to catch up. I found I need more neutrals for this CW project though.

Not all the parts are complete but some of each part is DONE so far.
It's almost time for Friday again.
I had finished half of the Bindings I have to do and needed a Hand-Stitching break.

What are you working on today??

Update on SAL's & Special Delivery

My Lori Holt Quilty Fun SAL is up to date and I have to say it's turning out SEW Fun with my 30's fabrics.
These Chubby Chevrons were fun to make and there were only a few.

My Flying geese block picture was selected to be one of the 3 winners of the week.  THANKS to Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Jabber announcing it  HERE.  I got an e-mail that my prize has shipped!

Maybe my LUCK will hold and I can be the LUCKY Quilter to WIN this!!!
They will CALL the WINNER next Monday!
Sunday December 15th is the last day to click the button on my sidebar to enter.

Last week was CHEVRONS everywhere. I even saw a lady at Church with a Chevron skirt on.
Plus I have been sewing them all week for the Quiltville Mystery. I'm storing the parts in these bags I got from my new curtains.  Hopefully I can keep it all together and not lose any parts over the Christmas week.

Side note: I am going to use this reindeer fabric in the last 38 of my Chevrons and the rest of the Celtic Solstice Mystery. It is from the same line, since I can't get the #30800, it is as close to the same shade as I can find. Close enough???

Clue 3 is HERE--- This week is Pinwheels and HST's with the Easy Angle Ruler.  Only 200 hst's for the Small quilt, and 488 hst's for the King size.

Pam Buda posted the Part Four HERE of the airing of the Nabby Dowry Quilts from her SAL. My quilt is among them this time.  There is a heartwarming story she shared also- read it to the end!

It reminded me of MY Quilt Buddy!  She has been a BIG source of help and inspiration to me these past 7 years.  I went out to deliver her Secret Pal gifties and took her picture with her new Cherished Teddies.

At guild I was asked over and over "How is Lynn doing? I posted this picture to her page on FB.
I'm hoping and praying the Dr can get her heart back into a normal rhythm
so she can spend her time doing what she loves- Quilting.
I miss spending time with her - in her studio.
Lynn gave me this Ornament. it says it all-
Lynn gave me this Nativity of Cherished Teddies a few years ago.  I love the little quilt that goes with the Creche.
I've added the 'Follow by E-mail button' to my sidebar. Meet you all back here on Monday to link up with Judy L and Bonnie Hunter...
