December- Day 10 Nativity- Making Christmas last..

I found my Nativity Puppets
I can't remember where I learned to make them in 2008.
I think it was at a Super Saturday in 2008 then
I made them for all the families that year.
The Blog doesn't go back farther than 2008.

I shared them with the Primary children for sharing time.
NaDell's family does the Puppets with Andy's Family on Christmas Eve
They've added to the collection too.
I ask you..."How will you Tell the Story of the Babe this year??"

I am trying to make Christmas last for more than one day with the opening of the
Jenny Box and gifts I collected and wraped for Paul.

Day 8 was a Button Jar with a few Surprise Buttons inside.
Paul got Altoids

Day 9 and pattern to make a Button Pillow.
Paul got the Christmas CD from last years Tabernacle Choir Broadcasst

and Day 10 brought Needles with a birdy Needle Threader
Paul opened the Book recently written by his Cousin Richard Nash.

Only 15 more days until Christmas.
The Tree is up, decorations go on it later this week.

What wil I do this Windy Saturday?

Day 9 of Nativities - Our Young Sister Angel - Isabelle

Nativity - Day 9
I couldn't choose just one today.
These are a few of the smaller Nativities on my Plate Rail, Shelves and Window sills.

It's been a heart wrenching day.
One of our Sister Missionaries from the Trail Center
was killed last week in a Hit and Run in Provo, Utah.
Her services were today in Salt Lake City.
I'm still in Tears!!!

Here is us after going to Downtown Omaha for our Sister Rings.
She found a ring that didn't fit her and gave it to me that day.
She is standing next to me.

She watched a Movie with me on the new Screen
Can't remember which Movie it was.

Pioneer Day July 2020
There she is beside me again

And in August we had to say goodbye!
Sister Parr & Sister DiVall

We are so glad we knew her and loved her.

Day 8 of Nativities - Ready for Mystery Friday

Well, there are 17 days left before Christmas!
So I can share more Nativities!
I love this Nesting Nativity.
I think it is Jim Shore one.
I got it at Trends in Portland.
 I got it in 2013.
It was on the Blog in 2014.
I have more Jim Shore in my Ornaments.
Tree still isn't in the house.
I'm waiting for a certain box to be opened.

I finished the 2nd clue in time for Friday!
Yahoo!
Paul went to Temple again without me.
I am glad to not go two days in a row.
I stitched the day away.
Decorated my machine with chain pieced parts.

Clipped and counted for when we need them.
The Oliso Mini Iron and this TV Tray are a Time saver

Parts in the tote I found downstairs.
I'm glad that I changed the Orange
   to this peachy color.
The Busy Backgrounds came out to play.

Happy Thursday!

Mystery Tuesday & December -Day 6

I am later to work on my second clue in the Quiltvile Mystery.
The Nativities called me away and a couple of side trips.
Good Thing we put up lights last week.
I measured 5" yesterday.
OH, How I do NOT love the SNOW...
But it means I can stay Home and SEW!

We had a Paint night for FHE so I wasn't stitching though the evening.
Already this morning the Bobbin ran out.
"BOBBIN" we all called out at the WASIQ Retreats.
No one here to hear me call out, except the napping hubby.
More Purple and White strips to stitch and my Orange with come out.
It is a bit 'Peachy' and I found a bolt of it in my STASH.
WINNER!
I love it. it was one of our Wedding colors.
No limey Green this time to match my Dad's Lesiure Suit, lol

Day 6 Nativity
Hubby Noticed that I grouped a bunch of "Chubby" Nativities together.
He is getting chubby eating all the Christmas goodies.
DD#2 dropped this plate off with her Christmas Card.
YUMMY- All my Favorites.
She had a cookie making Day without us.

My Sister and I need to have a Candy Making Day so we can share with friends.
Not a day with too much Humidity, so we can make Divinity, please!

December Day 5 - Sunday & Monday

Satuday I woke up just in time to get to the 3rd Ward Relief Society
Christmas Brunch.
We had yummy cinnamon rolls and other Breakfast type goodies.
We sang a couple Christmas Songs together with Sister Ramirez at the Piano
Sister Purdy told a true story and we did a
Speed White Elephant Gift exchange.
I was a bit worried when someone brought my gift to my Birthday Buddy, Judy.
I was sitting right next to her. Wish I hadn't used so much strapping tape. opps.
But She Loved it!
This was my Nativity Post for Saturday, Day 3.
I found dupicates in putting my Nativities out.
I didn't know what to take to the White Elephant so I asked Paul which one I should wrap.
He didn't help much in deciding...
I am so glad I wrapped it up and that Judy got it.
Tender Mercies!
As we walked out Kristen Rodriguez noticed we were wearing purple so she took a picture
with Zander Fredrickson who was there with the Elders.

Later, we picked up Sadie Hafen and went to the Stake Center to see if any other YSA were there.
Caleb Wagner was waiting so we took just those two with us.
It was a good day at the Temple trip on Saturday.
Sadly not many of our YSA made it.
Lot's of Leftover Pizza for two of them to take home.

So 4 days in a row to go to Tri-Cities again.
It snowed on Sunday so we'll be staying home more this week.
Here was my Nativity Day 4 for you bloggy Friends.
I love a Waterball/ Musical Nativity. I bought this one at Target in Omaha.
It plays "Away in a Manger" one of my favorite Christmas Hymns.
The YSA Elders came and watched the Devotional with us after the Linger Longer.
It was so nice to have someone come and see all my Nativities.

Happy Monday, I hope to get some stitches in this week.
I won't be driving on the slick roads anywhere soon.
Tiara time to get Clue 2 done for the Quiltville Mystery.
I found a bolt of fabric to use for my Orange,
 YEA, it's not Pumpkin Orange.
Pictures tomorrow of Clue two...

December 3rd 2022- Pick a Favorite Nativity

Last night we went to a Nativity Display in West Richland.
There were so may beautiful sets and it was hard to really look close at them all.
I too a couple of Panographs and counted just a few that I have of those displayed.

How can you choose a Favorite Nativity or
Picture of Christ.
There was a whole room filled with pictures
of the Savior.
They served soup and homemade rolls,
We didn't take any since we ate before
we left home.

After that we attended our first Christmas Program!
Bravo and Forte' night was amazing!
Good to see youth having so much fun on stage and singing songs
to get us in the spirit of the Christmas Season.

Abby was in Bravo!

Family with the girls after the show.

Olivia sang Danced and played the piano

Funny, I wore the same shirt last year...
3 December 2021
So glad we could attend.

Nativity Day 2 was this one.
We FaceTimed with Tina and Reagan.
While showing her the Nativities, I asked Grandpa to help set up the one he gifted me last Christmas.
It has a special place in the bookcase this year.

We spent the daylight hours putting up lights and
I set up almost all of the Nativities I could fit in the house.
I did start a list and am checking it twice.

The outside Nativity and Lights looked great to come home and see.

We will be at the Columbia River Temple with the YSA.
It will be our 4th trip to Tricities this week.
I read there are possible changes in our calling with the YSA.
We will enjoy them while we can.

December 2nd - 2022

We were at the Columbia RiverTemple on Thursday.
I finally got a picture of the Nativity there.
They moved it to the Fountain area instead on on the Metal platform on the front Corner.

It looks a lot like the one we set up at the Mormon Trail Center.
This was in 2020
The world was in lockdown, but Christmas still came.
We decorated the Trail Center.
The Nativity made the local paper.

This is my Newest Nativity
It's small, but I love it!
It was the new one at Fountain Books where NaDell works.
There are lots of new Nativities there, I can't buy them all.
I have so many already.
I set up a few each day the first week of Decmber and by Christmas they are mostly out.
I'll try and count them this year.
My Quilt Guild Secret Pal gave me Nativity Boxes to store them in.
Do I count the Boxes too?

Thanks for looking!

They're in the tote.
Nativities go up first at my house.
The flat serfaces were cleared for Thanksgiving so it made my job easier.

I love Nativities and have so many to share on my Social Media.
I can't share the Secret Stitching so I share the things I can.

This was Yesterday...
New T-shirt with Embroidery design speaks truth. I like to Party and by party I mean stay home and Sew. I got to do that again today!!
