WOW - Wednesday Late!

I've been stitching most of the Day and haven't hardly
taken time to Breathe!

Paul went to the temple without me so I slept in.
When I finally got going I thought...
It's the 25th of the month-
I should work on something Christmasy!
This is a few of the finished Blocks before today's Stitching.

8-9 Hours added

This what the finished Quilt Looks like.
I will find some Border Fabric when I go on the Shop Hop this Friday.

The Nativity Ornaments will be a cute Pillow when I finish the other 7.
Fairy Frost for the backgrounds.

I'll add more as I finish up my #thinittowinit.
We have until March but I'm at 40 points already.

Tuesday - Chooseday

I saw the Tuesday - Chooseday on my NBC morning show.
I liked it so that's my title today.
Today I'm choosing how I will get my stitching place in order.
I have a lot of extra pieces of Stabilizer that I might be able to use
sometime in a smaller hoop...
How do I store it??

I used a bit of extra batting for the inner Borders on my Cuties 2.
Now I have to try the wider, longer Borders in the big hoop.
I got all 4 borders on one piece of Stabilizer with a couple of re-hoopings.

Tomorrow is Trash day so today's clean up is a good thing.
Vacuuming and moving chairs to have a friend come to make a few Quilt Labels.
Can't just stack it higher.

We Celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year with the YSA.
Sad for those who were celebrating in California and got hurt or killed in the dance place.
I made a LOT of Chow Mein and Fried Rice.
Glad I have Big Pots!
I love my Chow Mein!
One of the kitchen mamas said she was skeptical about the carrots,
they were perfectly cooked,  just right.
Not to crunchy, not too soft.

We got the little take out boxes to serve it in. so much fun.
Had to get some for the Guy in the Hallway...

The Temple Pansies are trying to survive in the chill!

Got my Spudnut---Yum Yum!

What are you choosing today?

Monday - Thin it to Win it Goals January 16-22

Since I didn't get much done on last week's list.
I've adjusted this week's to be more realistic.

I got two of the Four Small quilts bound and turned in at Tri-City Quilt Guild today.
I have 3 more to finish,

My Charm Pack Challenge Quilt isn't done all the way yet.
It was my "Squirrel" for the weekend.
Go Moda!
I found some Corey Yoder fabric at Craft Warehouse.
Stash downtown didn't have any.
I think a mitered corner is good for extra Points and after Quilting I'll scallop the edges.

My Kit that I wrapped up at Christmas and saved to do this month.
"Let Me Call You Tweetheart"
I hope I can watch the class later.
I'm not home when it is happening on Thursday.
Thinittowinit for my stacked up kits is a great way to win those virtual points and badges.

I did get the Triangles Pre Quilted for the
February Cutie.

And stitched a Valentine's Towel
Waffle weave Towels from Amazon.

WOW-Wednesday... What I'm Working On

Since it's my Birthday Month we went to Texas Roadhouse last Thursday.
It was good we did cause Paul has been housebound feeling pain down his leg since then.
My Birthday is on a Sunday so no going out to Celebrate anyway.
I told the Daughters of Utah Pioneer ladies I was Celebrating all month.
I made Chicken Noodle Soup, Jello, Bread and a Ganache covered Chocolate Cake with Ice cream.

What I'm really Working on while turning older by the day...
I used the January DDE (Dealer Digital Exclusive) to do a towel.
Stay Cozy like a Penguin with Mittens.

Perfectly Pieced Boxes are stacking up so I decided it was time to try and make a few of the projects.
The house blocks above are bigger than the Tree, gotta put coping strips on the tree to make something.
Still to be determined.
These envelope blocks are from the January Box
Sealed with a Heart.
Maybe a Pillow?

I worked on the centers I liked for the June Butterfly Cuties 2.
I wasn't happy with it.

So I went back to the original centers intended for this Cutie.
Found a fun inner Border and stripe for the outer border.
I love the Butterflies, that is one reason I got this project CD.
Had to make them in shades of Purple.
I just need to put a backing on it and stitch in the Ditch.
At least that is what my Quilty Friends advised at Guild.
I might still use the Border Clear Blue Tiles on it.

This was a gift in my Jenny Christmas Box..
One day we got a yard of Background fabric
A Rainbow KONA Charm Pack came another Day.
The Pattern came with the Machine and Letters that were Laser cut, so it was super easy.
This is my new Motto for the year!

I've spent over 10 hours doing all of this. We report weekly on our tallied Hours.
I might have 20 hours by the end of the week.

Thining it to WIN IT!

My Mommas Birthday

A baby Girl was born a long time ago in Utah.
She grew up and became my Momma

I love that she kept this picture with her embroidered dress.

A High School Photo - she didn't get to graduate from High School.

She married my Dad at age 16 in the Salt Lake Temple.
It was Dad's parents Anniversary and it's ours now too.

25th Silver Wedding Anniversary
A party was held in our home in Moses Lake

Another picture taken around that Party date. Oh, the memories of the hole in the Wall Phone, flowered Wall Paper, Grandpa Brown helped hang, and the Picture made with cotton under a cloth and glued on a board with Glitter.  Grandpa Waite made the frame.

35th Wedding Anniversary Picture
Again, we had a Party at our Home.
Dad bought her the Red Dress and he got a new Suit.
Paneling replaced the wallpaper on the Living Room Walls.

I went to College and they came for Mother's week at Rick's College (Now BYU-I)
Momma is wearing her Bi-Centennial Dress and I'm wearing my Miss Moses Lake Dress that I added sleeves to make it modest. Hawaiian lei sent from Hawaii from my date.
I only went one year, so I didn't graduate.

My Favorite picture of US!
No Professional pictures were taken on the actual Wedding Day.
Thankful that we had Mike Black from Othello there to capture this photo.
She always had a hankie ready, those heart strings were too close to her tear ducts.
Peach colored roses and Mini Carnation Bouquet, Corsages and Boutonnieres.

A 3 Generation picture with my parents and Grandma Mary Waite.
Of course she had to have a dress just like my Momma.
Dark Forrest Green Polyester Double Knit with ecru trim.
Daddy bought himself a lime green Leisure Suit.
I wore my Sister's wedding dress. I altered it to fit me and lined the sleeves and bodice.
I bought a pearl crown from McCoy's craft store and attached a veil.

Hilgard Park - 1977
I was almost ready to have our first child.
Camping in a pup tent 8 months pregnant, NOT SO FUN!

The last photo taken of my parents together.
She's wearing an outfit I made and wore in the 8th grade.
This is the reason I will never got rid of that rocking chair.
I've recovered it once with Blue upholstery fabric.
The arms need to be recovered again.

Happy, Heavenly Birthday, Momma!
...until we meet again.

WOW- Wednesday On my list.

I downloaded my Thin it to win it... reading the fine print I find that this week's Stitching doesn't count.

I can count the Stitches and time spent and multiply by the number of stitch-outs I have made.
This week there has been A Lot!!
But I think a better plan is to really finish a few of the projects started last year.
I have a few...

This one was posted October 2021
I started and went crazy making all colors of Birds.
I just need a border and Quilting on this one.
I found some perfect backing fabric on the FREE table at Guild.

There's this Quiltmaker Project started last January.
I have the finishing directions, but it's stalled...

How about this fun project?
How long would it take to finish??

The second week of the month is always BUSY with
DUP (Daughters of Utah Pioneers) and Walla Walla Quilt Guild.
I might be stitching into the wee hours again...

Easy projects like this would take even less time.
From the Jenny Advent Box
I haven't showed them on here, since I wasn't sure if they would be gifts...

Isn't it cute!!
I bought a pillow for it, just need to finish it.
Got a great Idea on What's New Wednesday with Kimberbell.
Wait and see!
Which project will be my 1st Finish?

Meanwhile, I had to take a picture of these Jigglers I made for Our Christmas Gathering.

We still have some, I can't believe there were any left over. Not just for KIDS

Design Wall Monday - lol what's in my hoop?

What's in my Hoop???
More KIMBERBELL projects.

Testing out the Quilting on these Fan/Dresden Plate blocks.
I need more practice on the Machine Quilting in the Hoop.

I love Butterflies and wanted to do them in MY favorite fabrics, of course.
The finished Butterfly!
It snowed again while I was sleeping so I am ready for SPRING any day now.

This is my version of the Family Tree wall hanging.
We are rooted together In LOVE!
