Monday Guild Meeting

I got up in time to drive up to Tri-City
 Quilt Guild today.
I bound a Charity Quilt to turn in.
Interesting layout, I  thought.

I was curious what we made the 6.5" HSTs for.
We played tables of Left, Right, Center.
All of the HSTs go to make more Charity quilts.
Next Tuesday is a special Charity Sewcial day
at White Bluffs Quilt Museum.

This 3 yard of background fabric came this week.
Paul asks, "You're still buying fabric?"
Yes, I  always need more Background fabric.

Saturday was Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild
2nd Annual Yard Sale
My view from the back of the room.
The morning was busy!
We stopped at 1pm so it wasn't too long to sit.

I went by to get my Quilting boards I left at Ransoms for Elizabeth to use.
We had to go get the stands at her apartment.
It was so nice to see where she lives.
They've been Married a month now.

We have lived in Walla Walla 21 years as of Today.
My how we have changed!

Working on it Friyay!

I got 4 Blocks done for the Reunion Quilt.
It will be a Smaller Quilt than Originally planned.
To sash ot not to sash???
Eddie liked the secondary design.

With some tiny Strips to test a sashing in gold with a Crimson cornerstone.
I have enough yardage to make this work.
Maybe a Checkerboard border.
Things to consider as I play in the basement.

Gotta find some Guild Yard sale stuff to take
 to the sale tomorrow.
I know there is some Batik and flannels.
I won't be using those!!
Time to get them out of my garage.
Have a Happy Weekend.

Wow-Wednesday

I love my Roses, this one smells the Best!!

This one is also very fragrant.

My Purple Hydrangea bloom looks like a Heart.
I go out to water my flowers and veggies.
Had to snap photos before the blooms are gone.

Fat Quarter Shop
"Up on the Housetop"
Christmas in July Sew-Along started on the 15th.
I got to sew from my Stash at Powered by Fabric.
It says "ho ho ho"
I might make another one...

Crimson and Gold lives on after 50 years.
I bought the Fabrics and tried to match my T- shirt.
This is Not the original plan but it works.
I loved Natalie's Tutorial on this
 "Springtime Starburst"

I used it for our soon to be born Granddaughter.
She has a name!!!
Thanks for sharing Jeff and Chey!

Monday- Flimsies

I have been stitching all morning and
half the afternoon.
It is finally a Flimsy, whew!

The wind was very blustery.
Not an easy job to get a good picture taken.
Our Lawn is suffering from this heatwave.

I didn't even try to get a picture outside of this one.
Ready for Quilting!

I still have to be brave and turn on my Q20.
I listened to 3 YouTube videos.
I saved them so I can try later.

We saw a Sweets Game Friday night.
The black birds flocked up in the tree
by the flagpole.
Crazy birds.
It was a good game.
They lost but we had fun in the 7th inning.
They scored 7 runs, mostly with 2 outs.

It's Friyay!

I am home today... not where I planned to be!
Tomorrow is the 50th Sister's Qutdoor Quilt Show.
I really wanted to go. But life gets in my way.
Too many other things on my July Calendar that I have no control over.  Sometimes you have to do what is Better for you.
I took this picture yesterday.
I'll be back here to be with our YSA.
I couldn't leave him to do the Baptisms at the Temple alone tomorrow

Hubby has 2 appointments today.
Trying to see if my Chiropractor can help his pain. Physical therapy hasn't helped this time.
He was out of pain after the first chiropractor adjustment on Wednesday.

Wow-Wednesday

It was a Fun Monday to have our granddaughter Abby and DD#1 come visit.
The Fountain Bookstore is closed on Mondays.
Abby got her Grandma Camp Flimsy done!

I hung it on the Branch by the Gazebo
in Pioneer Park for a beauty shot.
Here it is with the Maker.

NaDell took our picture along to the Gazebo.
Over the Rail pictures are a Tradition.
We found the shade side so we could get a good shot without shadows.

And a quick selfie with my Beautiful Daughter.
She kept me busy changing bobbins to help he with her mending of 14 pieces of clothing.
She brought two big bags full.

I missed UFO Day at Powered by Fabric.
Tuesday was A Sew day so while hubby went to
the Tri-City Temple, I went to use the big wall.
This was the final layout, after much 'frogging'.
I forgot to bring the pink Peony fabric again.
I see the need for more flippy corners.
That could happen today.
It's getting Done!

Whatcha Working on?

Happy FriYay! 🇺🇸

I love that Eleanor Burns designed 4th of July Star
Her Birthday is in July.

We tried to take a selfie by the Hydrangea Row.
The neighbors dog thought it needed to bark at us.
We wrote our Blues to the Wedding Reception for our YSA couple Emma and Gus.
I had to take their picture when they cooked for
Linger Longer.
They made Gnocchi for us, Argentina style.

Last Sunday we had cake and ice cream.
The flag cake was made by Chaneaux.
I need to make one for us with Whipped cream.

There's a Baseball game tonight with Fireworks afterwards.  It's our Tradition here in Walla Walla.

Wow-Wednesday

Well, FQS postponed the Christmas in July.
It won't start until the 15th.
That means I have time to get ready.

This morning Bonnie Hunter shared this years Leaders and Enders project.
Go to Quiltville for the instructions.

Walla Walla Valley Quilt Festival registration is open for the September show.
HERE  is the link.

I got a pep talk from Kathy at Stash yesterday.
Going to turn that Bernina Q20 on today!
Old Town Mystery has been on the longarm
way too long!!!
This photo is from March, when I stopped
with a bobbin break that I couldn't back up.
I am struggling with this Learning curve.

I have a few other projects I need to Quilt before
I can enter them in the
Walla Walla Valley Quilt Festival.
Wish me luck.
No more Squirrels!

Bernina University happened!
They are introducing Magnetic Hoops!!
Not sure yet if they'll work on my machine...
I hope I won't need to upgrade.

Whatcha Working on this Wednesday??

Tuesday-Center is Sewn

The center is now sewn.
I used a little bit of 2 Patterns by Charisma Horton.
Hearth and Whisper.
Just one, maybe 2 borders to make.
The big Blocks have been a trial for me.
Pins are my friend, on this one.

I need to decide on which fabric to use in
 the last main border.
I have considered using white.
But I found this, it's a light pink with tiny Black dots by Riley Blake.
Time to take it to the Committee again.
I don't have a big enough place to cut and
 lay it out at home.
I could take it outside, but...
It's 100°
Too hot for this Grandma!!!
