Wow-Wednesday

This is What I worked on this week!

I did move the blocks that were in the wrong spots.
I couldn't have three sets of 6" Blocks in a row.

On to the Borders!

There was an Open Sew Day before my
Wednesday Class.
Lots and lots of 4-Patches!

Eddie had the the solid and 4 Patch blocks all
 in a row to sew.
Easy Peasy, no need for putting them all
 on a Design Wall

 I can learn New Tricks!

I put the finished corner on the Wall to get
a good picture of the progress!
I'm on the downhill side to finish this flimsy!
It will need a couple borders.

This is my EQ8 mock up in Purples and Teals.
The Fat Quarters I got from my Row by Row
 needed a place to go.

Rainy, Monday

The Rows are sewn together!
I may move the flower and house on the 2nd row.
I moved the Baskets and Multi hst blocks
as I started last week.
They might need to be fixed also.
It's easier to do it now.

I have some 4-patches to make for a Class on Wednesday at Powered by Fabric.
Mine will have different colors!
I have put it into my EQ8.

Happy new week!

Friday - Sew Day??

I got just 2 columns of my Lori Holt Sewn at Powered by Fabric.
Lori Holt day was a LOT of cutting of those tiny sashings.

I had them in the right order, but the 2nd row of 6" blocks are in a different place than
I had in my Big Picture.
Lori Says, "You are the Boss of your Quilt." I guess it will stay!

I have a day to rest but Hubby is home so we will see how many rows I can get done.
The Tomatoes are calling me to make Chili Sauce too.

This Gladiolus is the Prettiest color!
The bulbs Mary W. gave us were mostly Yellow.
I love the Pink and White and this one more than Yellow.

The Tiger Lilies are blooming again.
Petunias are almost spent.
I will miss the color popping when it is covered with the white stuff.

Bonnie Hunter is doing a Star of HOPE Sew-Along HERE
The introductory post is found at the Link.
It begins on Monday.

Wow-Wednesday

It's the day I worked so hard for!
Laid out the Farm Girl Vintage 2 Quilt ...
one more time!
It's a Lori Holt Day!

I was the lucky Door Prize Winner at Quilt Guild!
Fun bag of goodies, thanks Julie King!

Eddie shared a new Gadget!
Using it to level-up the corners of a Quilt
 or Panel just got easier.

Who knew we need this??

Late season Roses, so pretty 😍

Monday again...

 It's Monday!
I have finished the charity quilts bindings
in plenty of time.

Next on my list of To-Dos!
Borders!
But first, I needed to cut off the Border print.
Long Ruler cuts 1/4" away from the border.
Now I can get these measured after the inner border with flange.
Have you ever done a Flange on the inner border?
Wish me luck!
I have More Christmas gifts to work on.

This is my Temecula Row Quilt of Civil War fabrics.
It looks Fall-ish to me.

It's time to harvest the last of the Tomatoes from the Back Yard Garden.

Happy Fall!

WOW-WEDNESDAY-October

What am I Working on this week??
I  have a couple of charity quilts to bind for my
Tri-Cities Quilt Guild.
I've had them for awhile...it's time!

One has binding provided.
I'm told there is a LOT of the Green floral
in the quilt cupboard.
Will it ever run out??

The other one needs binding chosen.
Front

Back
What color binding would you choose?

I flipped my calendar and this is what October's
Meme has for me to think about.
I'm really good at putting things off.
But it's Canning and gardening in my case.
This beautiful Gladiolus greeted me when we returned from Utah.
Most of the bulbs Mary W gave us were yellow.
I love this Pink one!
Great for October!

Wish me luck finding the perfect binding
for the house quit.
It's less than two weeks til my next Guild
meeting in Tri-Cities.
I can get these done and donated!!

What are you working on?

Monday, Monday night

It has been a week since we were in Kansas City.
Tonight we got home from Utah.
Another busy 3 day weekend of travel.
But this time we drove.
Hubby said we are leaving EARLY Friday Morning.
O Dark Thirty, eh?
Full Harvest Moon still up and shining.

I don't often see the Sun rise.

I slept as much as I could. when we stopped to get fuel
in Mountain Home, there was a Cinnabon,YUMMY!
Breakfast on the road.

Since we were close to Brigham City at lunchtime,
I suggested Maddox.

I haven't eaten here since my Daddy took us...
It was delicious!

We got to Utah in time to go to a Macey's Grocery.
I got a Dole Whip and he got a Momma sized
 Kong Swirl Kone.

The 50 Year Sydney Australia Mission
reunion was fun.
We were a bit late because we had the wrong address. oops.
Sister Kumi and President Earl Tingey with us.
He also met a few of his former Companions.

This was my set-up in the hotel
I worked on the Wall Hangings I promised to Bring to Sister Bennett.

We got up and rode the Trax to Temple Square.

We met a Service Missionary named Elder Cornelson
He told us there were no Standby seats
available and the Joseph Smith Building
 was closed for renovations.

So a selfie in front is as close as we got to being at General Conference this year.

We drove to Orem and got there in time for the afternoon session.
Our guys dozed off so we had to catch it on our Camera Phones.

I finished Bindings while watching the
Saturday Evening Session of General Conference.

We looked through Pat's stash of totes for
some Ribbon to hang them.
What do you think?
I think they look like they were made to hang there!
I loved making them for her!
Now to finish a set for me.

After eating our Pot Roast Dinner,
we went for a ride.
Past the Lindon Temple under Construction.
The Orem Temple had the most beautiful Rainbow arching over it.
I asked President to stop so we could get a picture.

We are home now and I will get back to my
Normal life...lol
What's Normal?
My friend once said, "Normal is a only a
 setting on the Dryer."

It's still Fri-Yay!

Continuing with our trip to Missouri.
Cheyanne sent these Death by Chocolate cupcakes
with Jeff when he picked us up on Monday.

This was a Mural in President Harry S Truman Memorial Museum.
It goes into the replica of his Oval officw

The next 3 photos are of the Oval Office

After he moved home this was his office in Independance, Missouri

This Quote was on the wall by the Libray/Office

Here we are by the Harry S Truman statue.

I gave Cheyanne the WallHanging and Towel
That I finished in Missouri.

Next we went to Independence Square.
Near there Harry worked at a Soda Shop.
We met Milton and Christen there.
We had ice Cream sundaes and milkshakes.
Then we drove to Liberty Jail
We had dinner at Jeff and Cheyanne's home.
We got to chat with Elder Seth Crowther
Who called while we were together.

We had to use the Airport Shuttle to get
 back to the Airport.

Windchimes/ Spinners in the Airport.

I took 2 sample pack boxes home on the
plane to share
So yummy!

More next week to finish the catch-up posting.
