Happy 4th of July

We went to the Sweets Baseball game last night.
There was Fireworks after the game.
Not Victory Fireworks, sadly they lost.
We had 14 YSA sitting in front of us.
           It was Not planned.

My view from Section C up high!

My USA Flags are flying!

We love Celebrating in July.
Our Jeffery was born July 6th.
He thought the Fireworks were for him.

I missed posting Monday and Wednesday.
Getting ready for the 4th of July Parade.

July is here!

July means we've been here for 6 months.
Mission life is so different in Covid-19 time.
The 8 Sisters are giving Virtual Tours.
Click the link:

This is all that is left after one more Senior couple went home.
We Tye-Dyed Navy shirts with Bleach.
The Sisters used colors on White shirts.
They're so cute!
They helped make these cute cupcakes for our 4th of July BBQ.
The Cowboy Hat on top is a Pringles chip coated in Chocolate then a Rolo is added with a licorice string.
For Jeffery's Birthday we went to
Winterset, Iowa.
We saw signs for the Covered Bridges so after going to John Wayne birthplace and museum, we found 2 quilt shops then went to see 3 of the Covered Bridges.
We also went by the Iowa Quilt Museum
They were putting up a new collection of quilts so we got in free.
Theme is:
OUT OF CONTROL
Quilts that Break the Rules
The pictures I took were fun.
Here's a few...

Iowa Quilt Museum will have this display until October 2020.
Hope you're having a bit of Summer Fun.

WOW- Wednesday --Day after the 4th of July!

We had an Early Celebration of the 4th with an impromtu BBQ and going to a Sweets Baseball game.
Monday night was a Historical night in Sweets History-
16 Innings, many that were No Hits- no Runs.
Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing and outdoor
Here are 2 of my Cute Grandchildren with Sweet Lou dressed in R W & B.
Sadly our team didn't come out the Victor.

Thanks Milton and Christen and family for coming with us and spending the night.
It was great to have so many on our row at the Game.
We got home around 1 AM after the Fireworks.
My DH,  Sister and her Hubby left before the end.

They had a comeback AM game on the 4th, that was a WIN.

No stitching happened on the 4th.
I almost missed the Annual Frankland St Parade.
2 grandsons on thier decorated Bikes.
You can barely see DD#2 in her striped shirt past the Pole.
She and her kids came to our BBQ but not the Game.

I am happy to be Grounded today so I can work on my Row By Row.
My Back Window quit working last week.
Check out my Pizza box temporary Fix.

I am debating on which 2 rows I want to add to my quilt.
This one is from Discount Sew n Vac in Kennewick.
I might need a couple more vertical rows.
My time is running as I see more and More Winners.
None in Walla Walla YET!

Have a Great day after the 4th.
I'm hoping for a quieter night tonight.

Wednesday - WOW - more R x R

I should be all done with my Row by Row, but I've been having too much family fun.
The Sweets were playing to town and I HAD to go watch me some Baseball.
Friday night's game had 2 HOME RUNS, the 2nd one was the game winning walk off hit!

I got the 2nd Grand-daughter quilt finished.
I made the 1st pass and looked up to find very little thread on the spool.
Thanks to the LQS for having the exact color I needed to finish.

I discovered that "Betsy" like me doesn't stitch on our Sabbath.
At the stroke of midnight it started skipping stitches.
DH helped hang them up for a Picture.
Monday was more Family time.
Our 2 daughters and their families came for a BBQ.

I let the youngest of the kids take pictures with my camera.
 Here are her parents.

I didn't show the newest of the rows I've collected.
I got this one on the way home from the Beach at Bj's in Cloverdale

DH stopped in Hood River, McMinnville, Tillamook and Cloverdale.
 Boresma's - McMinnville
Jane's Fabric Patch- Tillamook

The plates are so fun to read.
I bought a few of last year's Plates too.
I have quite a few to choose from.
Tuesday I made this row, while Grandpa took the boys for a long walk.
 Quiltmania - Richland Row

Ready to stitch Row #5

I can't not take a moment to remember it is our 4th Son's 31's B-day.
The boy who grew up thinking the fireworks were all for him.
Hope it's a Happy, Happy Day!

Farm Girl Friday- Creative Sharing

Farm Girl Friday
I made my Farm Girl Vintage blocks earlier this week.
I have a nice selection of blocks on my portable wall.

There's a Finish it Friday @ STASH.
I don't want to carry my machine out again so I'm not going to go and sew.
This Table topper had been waiting for too long in the UFO stack of totes.
I have thought of getting it finished by the 4th of July for several years.
Will it get done today?

I made my 1st Lone Star for my Son, Jeffery and his now EX-wife.  I think she still has it.
These are the leftover strips sewn together for a smaller Star.
I'm not sure what color to use for the background of the pieced border.
I want to play with "Betsy" and get this DONE!

I haven't had much time to find any Row by Row patterns and collect the license plates.
I will remedy that next week.
It was an exciting night at the Sweets game last night.
A Walk-off come from behind WIN was a great way to start the Festivities for the 4th!

I loved watching the Moon coming up by the Flag in Center Field.

Happy 4th of July!!!
I'm so grateful to those who have Served our Country & sacrificed so much for our Freedoms.

Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie & Chevrolet- Happy Birthday USA!

I had to do  it! this commercial has gone through my head all week.  It came out the year I graduated from High School.  No wonder I like it.
Our 4th of July activities included all of the above except the Apple Pie.  I took a picture of a pie when I went to the store.  I misplaced my fabric that I needed to finish the borders on my Tester Quilt for Stitchin' Heaven.  I knew I'd find it when I quit looking so hard.
Paul and I walked over to see the 4th in the park and saw a new kind of hot dog for sure.
Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs with a hot relish, (not spicy hot) and Ketchup.  I had to have some Kettle corn. I think we walked around the circle 3 times before deciding to get something.  They were $5 and came with chips.  I took a couple bites. I told Paul it was really only $2.50 each since we shared.
We saw a lot of people we knew in the Park and had fun just enjoying a day off together.  He's wearing the shirt he got from the Goodson's for Father's Day.
We went to the Turners for a Pre-Game BBQ. Jay cooked the burgers, I made macaroni Salad and took some chips over too.  Wendy made homemade Ice Cream, very Yummy!!!
The Sweets were playing and we had tickets. We sat next to Jay and Wendy after the row we were on got crowded. I even shared my Cow Bells that we got at the last game.  Hurray- They won 13-3.   I got to see my first home run in Borleske Stadium.  Go Kalani! Both teams got one HR. They play the Wenatchee Apple Sox again tonight. Can that count for the Apple part? We will have to go again, maybe the jinx is off now.  That's 2 games they've won when I was there.

And, of course we drive a Chevrolet, so I had to take a picture next to it with a Flag and Chevy LOGO!

We are party poopers when it comes to spending hard earned money just to light it on fire and blow it up.  There was plenty all around us going off in the neighborhood after it got dark.  Paul went to bed and I sewed. I found that misplaced fabric in a plastic bag by my sewing machine.  It's always the last place you look, right?
