Spokane Valley Quilt Show Fun!

After 3 long Years I got to go to Spokane with my WW Quilt Guild on a Bus to the
2022 SVQS - Extravaganza!

Both of these Quilts were made by Darlene Mossman
Frolic and Good Fortune Mystery by Quiltville
They were the only "Quiltville Sightings" in the Show.
One of the Quilters in the Memorial Room had a Good Fortune in a Picture.
They had 5 Memorials set up in another room to honor those Quilters.

Here are the 2 Farm Girl Vintage Quilts I saw.
Made by Debbie West and Julia Marvel

These two were just Fun!!!
A Pickup Truck full of Bolts and Beach ladies, from the back.
StQuilter's Love Fabric  & "Forever Young"
The makers had a good time making these!

2 Quilts I liked from the Featured Quilter - Cheryl Clossin
"Purple Rain"
"Star on Ice"

I always enjoy seeing the INMQ Treasure Challenge Quilts made from Vintage/Antique Blocks.
Re-Imagined by the Quilters.
I hope you like them too.

"Improved 9-Patch"

Grandmother's Flower Garden
"Sunny April Showers"

I forgot to get a full picture of the Stars one.
"Reaching the Gems"

"Springtime Tulip Baskets"

This one was Called  "For the Love of Baskets"
Can you see that they just added 'Braided Trim' handles to the HST's

"Spring Planting"
Note that these are random Hourglass Blocks with stems
She did Quilt as you go on each Row.

"My Flower Garden"
Inspired by a TQS Show with Mandy Sloane

The Farmer's Wife Quilts are a Favorite!
The SVQS Raffle Quilt was also Farmer's Wife
I love it in Blue. Extra Blocks made into Pillow Covers.
Yes, I Got a few Tickets!

There were so many more that I could have photographed.
The CherryWood "Diana" Challenge was so great with sparkling Tiaras and lovely Quilting.
Pictures just don't do them justice. But I tried...

The 2nd and 5th place Winners were there.
The Winning Quilts aren't all here, just a select few.
I took a Picture of the poster showing the Winners.

I am not putting them all on here.

I met up with one of the 2017 PNW Quiltville Retreat Quilters.
Here we are from 2017 - Still Cheesey!
Wearing our Sewing Jammies.
Susan and I have met up at the Spokane show before...
This time we had Lunch together and walked trough looking at Quilts and the Vendors.
No time to Vote on Favorites.
The Show goes on through Sunday!
Next Year I hope to go 2 days!

Friday Finish

I had a day at home to play.
My Good Fortune just needed a backing.
I looked and found a bolt that had enough left on it.
Cut it, twice the width and sewed a seam.
Using the Red Snappers sure speeds up
the loading of 'Betsy'!
I used a quilt design by Anne Bright,
KaPow" panto.
It quilted up fairly fast.
8 total passes, 3 bobbins
I used a Wool Batting & Glide Thread.
Time to get it Bound!
I love my  binder clips.
This quilt is registered for Tri-Cities show.

Tonight we get to be with Abby as she is Baptized.

She's the 4th Granddaughter to wear the White Dress!

Friday -nearly Finished

After a morning of Chain stitching blocks,
I laid out the parts to see how my
 Good Fortune will look.
I need to remake a few clues.
I have a couple more blocks to fill in.
With about half the Borders.
I have a few more border parts to sew.
I am glad I see the chains.
I'm going to make it a couple rows smaller.
I can always add another border.

We had a Great time with our
Wyoming Family.
There was lots of snow to play in.

I even had a few candles to blow out on the cake Grandpa got.
It was a 4-Hour layover in Salt Lake City.
We both felt sickly.
That made for a long trip home.
We opted to stay in Pasco overnight again.
Driving home late wasn't too appealing.

We look forward to going to our
Mid-shift at the Columbia River Temple.
We'll be in Zillah Sunday for another
Crowther family event.

Grateful to be feeling well enough to sew a bit today.

While I wait, I am making lists!
I Won this Quilter's Planner.
So now I NEED to use it, right?
Sewing Jammies and late night sewing pic.
Did you see my new UFO list?
I put it on the right Sidebar, at the top!
Judy L chose UFO #7
That's my Garden Party .

Bonnie Hunter Retreat
2016
Time to get out scrap bins & cut out blocks.

Quiltville Mystery Link-up -part 4

It's another Link-up Monday!
I had some company in the LOFT.
3 ladies, one who is Blind, came to sandwich some Quilts.
I was happy that they took time to help a friend. True Christmas Spirit.
& Brandy stopped by.
She is stitching at home after working at her mom Pac n Ship. Busy!!
I got to play with my 'Happy Colors'
Lots of old Phone books laying around, lol.
We got new ones last month.
My handy Paper cutter went along to help.

I did some in strip sets too.
That used up my shorter strips
from my scraps bin.
I'll cut into more Purples to finish.

Good Fortune Mystery Link-up -part 3

This will be short and sweet.
I worked a little on this part.
3 different Fabrics and scrappy corners.
Plus Bonus HSTS.
The Bonus buddy ruler got a workout when I got home.
Drawing 2 lines to sew takes more time.
But it will be Sew worth it.
Dejavu of the making of Midnight Flight!

I missed going to see
  The Nutcracker Ballet last year.
