WOW Wednesday!

WOWSER Did MSQC get my Order wrong!
Yesterday I was expecting my Bundle that I ordered over a weeks time.
I got 3 Notifications from FedEx that my order was delivered with the same photo.
This wasn't in my Order for sure,
But I love the Chuck the Ducks that came.
I will send the Block of the Month Kit back.
I resisted doing something, lol
This is month 5, I don't really need to start it now.

My Week wasn't filled with much Stitching.
We had Temple days and a Concert to go and watch.
"You Can't Stop the Beat"
Tri-City Youth Choir
Both Grandparents with 2 fun Grandchildren.

I missed the UFO Day and Open Sew days this week.
With Construction if I don't get down there early, it isn't worth the time.
I finally printed the next Riley Blake Block Challenge and have it sewn this Morning.

Hubster wants me to go outside,
I'm freezing so I don't want to catch a cold.
My view from the driveway, Working man likes my Wagon/cart!

The Blue bells have overgrown so he is taking some out.
Lilies will bloom here next.
I got mulch to put around them.
Tulips are all gone.
My Coleus only survived in one pot.

It's Balloon Weekend so I won't get to sew too much.
Mother's day is sad when I have to order my own Fudge and cake.
We'll see what happens on Sunday.
47 Mother's days without my Momma!

I posted this in 2016
Never a day goes by that I'm not grateful for my dear mother who brought me into the world, spoiled me rotten and loved me to the end of her days.
Missing her and doing my best to follow her example.

WOW- Wednesday

I finally got the DH to get me a bigger Embroidery Machine.
After a visit to my favorite Bernina dealer, we made a deal.
I'm sew Spoiled and I LIKE it!
This gently used and new Embroidery Module came home yesterday.

It only does Embroidery.
Push Button to Start, NO FOOT PEDAL.
I love the auto cutter and the Bobbin alert.
It has a BIG Bobbin.
I'm taking a few Classes to learn about all the Bells and Whitsles is has.

Great for those smaller projects that I love to make from Kimberbell.
Yes, I am a bit addicted to Embroidery right now.
Using up some fun Novelty Prints and Fat Quarters.
No sneaky Peeks yet! Just wait and see...

I had to do some Shuffling and re-arranging of totes downstairs to get to this table.
Sturdy enough and big enough to hold the Machine.
Extra supplies in the rolling cart and drawers I already had.
It is temporarily here in the Hallmark Watching place.
AKA: Grandma's Christmas Sweat Shop.
I can lock people out so they don't get a sneak peek.by tea
DH likes to tease and put the lock on, I don't mind getting locked in there.
When my Thanksgiving Cactus blooms it gets me in the MOOD for the Holidays.

This was Monday.
The blooms today are even bigger.

Whatcha Working on this WOW- Wednesday?

Wow-Wednesday- Remembering

Many years have past since this Photo was taken in our home in Moses Lake.
Celebrating our Parents 35th Anniversary

Today 2 years ago I  said "See ya later" to my brother Selwyn.
It was a hard day in a very hard year.
Remembered  not forgotten

Photos with my Family.
Precious to me.

Wow-Wednesday- National Kindness Day

Did you know it was National Kindness Day?
Last night, I  told my
Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild
That December would be my last Meeting for 18 months.
It is so bittersweet.
I recieved many kind words, hugs and greetings.
Thanks, for 14 years of Guild friendship.
Paul took this picture of me,
In my Guild outfit...
Wearing my Guild logo on my t-shirt
& jeans overshirt.

It's another sorting and cleaning day.
My #1 Daughter is on her way...
Maybe pictures later, lol.

Wow-Wednesday I'm Back from Vacation...

I'm Back!
My body will need a few days to recover.
Just wanted to share for the Blog friends.
We left for a Roadtrip last Friday.
Portland Temple was the 1st stop,
Well, after Chick fil-A, lol.
We miss our short drive to our Temple.
It was nice to visit Portland.
It is Beautiful!
Tillamook is on the way to the BEACH!
Grilled cheese, cheese samples, Yum bus, dairy stall restroom.
Onward to The Beaches...
We had fun, the weather was good for us.
A little chilly, but no rain.
Lots of places to drive off and
walk on the Beach.
I labelled pictures as I took them.
The Seaside Carousel & Ice Cream
Then there was more driving up Hwy 101
to Astoria, Oregon.
After Church in the Warrenton Ward
We went to change, then we climbed the
Astoria Column!
164 Steps straight up!
My goodness, I did it!!
Just amazing was the view from the top.
We saw some small birchwood planes sent off to see where they would go.
Going down was easier.
Adventures with Grandpa Paul...
Every night a new Hotel, more colors to see as we drove. Fall has come to the PNW.

Pacific Ocean is just beyond those trees!
More driving up Hwy 101 to Forks.
Monday we got up way too early to ride the Ferry to Victoria BC.
We got Tickets to see the BC Royal Museum.
The ticket lady said we wouldn't have time to see the Museum and the Gardens.
So one more time I would miss seeing the Buchart Gardens.
I'll share more Later about the Museum.
Thanks for looking!

Wow-Wednesday- almost Shop Hop time

It's almost time for the
"Quilting on the Dry Side"
Shop Hop!
I have hopes to hit at least 9 shops.
Who needs more Red, White and Blue??
Never enough!!

In the Basement- cute blocks were sewn.
Busy last few days of September,  had to get them posted for the Quilter's Planner SAL.
I love fussy cutting the princess on Unicorns.
I found an old Favorite Cereal on Sale...
Thanks to my #1 Granddaughter for noticing that the center one is Not a Unicorn. lol
"It's a shooting Star, Grandma"
Breakfast for dinner at my house.

Our Quiet Neighbors moved out.
We share a driveway with a Rental house.
So many different people we have met through the years.
Last night was heart-wrenching TV series Season Openers.
 Please pass the Tissues.

Wow-Wednesday What am I Doing?

Well, let me see...
I should have stayed home to Quilt.
But 'Betsy' was being naughty again.
Lydia's quilt is on the frame.
I tried a Newer pattern.
It stitched out and then started stitching in one place again. UGGG
My Clover Seam Ripper and me
had to Un-sew that starting of stitches.
I had Tested on a few Mini Quilts to see how Betsy was doing. She did fine with these...
Except for the Feathered Wreath on the middle picture on the right.
This is the 2nd time to try and Quilt my
Cascadia from Lori D of Humble Quilts.
That SAL was in 2014.
I made the Flag blocks back in June while I was having Grandma time in Richland.

I'd found out that Tracy Byrd was going to be at the Umatilla County  Fair this Week.
I didn't want to go alone.
DH has to get up early, and he doesn't enjoy the concerts like I do.
So I called my Sister!
We had a bit of fun, and I got her home before midnight.
Here's  a few of the other things that I  liked at the Fair.
Big Ribbon Winner

Cute Dresses quilt, it got a Red Ribbon.
I  like that it was creatively made.
Not perfect, but sew cute.

A crocheted baby dress

Legos used as a Plant pot.

Cute, but more likely made from a kit.

We could go to the Fair without getting an Elephant Ear!
The Umatilla HS BluCru work the booth.
When I lived in Umatilla,  our Ward  did the Elephant Ear Booth as a Fundraiser.
Oh what fun we had.
Umatilla Fair isn't the same since they moved it away from Downtown.
I missed getting a Taco Potato from a
 Local  booth.
The Concert was Free with Admission.
We had pretty good seats on a Bench.
Even if it was right by the fence between the Reserved seats.
I slept in so, now that my posting is done,
I'll be heading downstairs to see if 'Betsy' will be Good!
I have Fair Quilts to finish.

Wow-Wednesday

I am late posting today.
I needed to go get my SHOTS!
To leave the country or go on our Mission,
I need to be immune.
I had my sister take this picture for proof!
See that big scar, that is from my childhood immunization for Smallpox,  the nurse said.

I finished my Merry Mini Quilt.
It was a fun finish for Christmas in July,  eh?
There is less than a week before forms for the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days.
Maybe I  will enter my Christmas Mini.
Here's the Tree block, designed by Pat Sloan.
Sew cute, thanks to my Alphabitties!

Since yesterday was
"National Cheesecake Day"
Believe it or not, this is my 1st homemade from scratch, baked Cheesecake.
My house still smells yummy.
Waiting an hour for it to cook was hard.

Wow-Wednesday

Today was supposed to be my class
Woven Ornaments
It's been 3 months since this quilt came home so I could teach the class.
No fabric means no class.
It's on back order still.

I posted the side by side picture of GD#2.
Have to share it here also.
I love my EQ8
Olivia designed her quilt jn June.
It's easier for the young to play with.
They are raised on Computers.
We forgot to set the size of her blocks.
She cut fabrics for a lot more.
So we enlarged the unit size and readjusted.
Less blocks to make a bigger quilt.
The block name is "Hovering Hawks".
Changing the coloring and conquering the Mitered borders was my challenge for her.
She did great!

Tri-city Quilt Guild was fun!!
I didn't stay for the Applique Demos.
These 2 Friends,  in the top picture, bought the same Stack of fabrics and made quilts for each other. They revealed them in front of everyone on Monday. Sew Fun!!
I alway love seeing the Show n Share.
Amazing work from my fellow Quilters.
Esther Aliu's pattern with added border in Red and white.
And Labyrinth Walk in Aqua.
Wow!!
I was late so had to take my pictures from the back.
I shared 2 of the 3 Granddaughters Quilts.
GD#3 is still working on hers.

My Row by Row is going on 'Betsy' today.
Hopefully,  the big Reveal will be on Friday.
Have a WOW Wednesday!

She says she'll send me the one from Logan.

I asked for the Pig from Idaho Falls.
I get it when Wyoming family comes.
My quilt won't have 16 Row/Blocks this year.
Time to turn it in before the closest
