Mystery Tuesday & December -Day 6

I am later to work on my second clue in the Quiltvile Mystery.
The Nativities called me away and a couple of side trips.
Good Thing we put up lights last week.
I measured 5" yesterday.
OH, How I do NOT love the SNOW...
But it means I can stay Home and SEW!

We had a Paint night for FHE so I wasn't stitching though the evening.
Already this morning the Bobbin ran out.
"BOBBIN" we all called out at the WASIQ Retreats.
No one here to hear me call out, except the napping hubby.
More Purple and White strips to stitch and my Orange with come out.
It is a bit 'Peachy' and I found a bolt of it in my STASH.
WINNER!
I love it. it was one of our Wedding colors.
No limey Green this time to match my Dad's Lesiure Suit, lol

Day 6 Nativity
Hubby Noticed that I grouped a bunch of "Chubby" Nativities together.
He is getting chubby eating all the Christmas goodies.
DD#2 dropped this plate off with her Christmas Card.
YUMMY- All my Favorites.
She had a cookie making Day without us.

My Sister and I need to have a Candy Making Day so we can share with friends.
Not a day with too much Humidity, so we can make Divinity, please!

December Day 5 - Sunday & Monday

Satuday I woke up just in time to get to the 3rd Ward Relief Society
Christmas Brunch.
We had yummy cinnamon rolls and other Breakfast type goodies.
We sang a couple Christmas Songs together with Sister Ramirez at the Piano
Sister Purdy told a true story and we did a
Speed White Elephant Gift exchange.
I was a bit worried when someone brought my gift to my Birthday Buddy, Judy.
I was sitting right next to her. Wish I hadn't used so much strapping tape. opps.
But She Loved it!
This was my Nativity Post for Saturday, Day 3.
I found dupicates in putting my Nativities out.
I didn't know what to take to the White Elephant so I asked Paul which one I should wrap.
He didn't help much in deciding...
I am so glad I wrapped it up and that Judy got it.
Tender Mercies!
As we walked out Kristen Rodriguez noticed we were wearing purple so she took a picture
with Zander Fredrickson who was there with the Elders.

Later, we picked up Sadie Hafen and went to the Stake Center to see if any other YSA were there.
Caleb Wagner was waiting so we took just those two with us.
It was a good day at the Temple trip on Saturday.
Sadly not many of our YSA made it.
Lot's of Leftover Pizza for two of them to take home.

So 4 days in a row to go to Tri-Cities again.
It snowed on Sunday so we'll be staying home more this week.
Here was my Nativity Day 4 for you bloggy Friends.
I love a Waterball/ Musical Nativity. I bought this one at Target in Omaha.
It plays "Away in a Manger" one of my favorite Christmas Hymns.
The YSA Elders came and watched the Devotional with us after the Linger Longer.
It was so nice to have someone come and see all my Nativities.

Happy Monday, I hope to get some stitches in this week.
I won't be driving on the slick roads anywhere soon.
Tiara time to get Clue 2 done for the Quiltville Mystery.
I found a bolt of fabric to use for my Orange,
 YEA, it's not Pumpkin Orange.
Pictures tomorrow of Clue two...

December 3rd 2022- Pick a Favorite Nativity

Last night we went to a Nativity Display in West Richland.
There were so may beautiful sets and it was hard to really look close at them all.
I too a couple of Panographs and counted just a few that I have of those displayed.

How can you choose a Favorite Nativity or
Picture of Christ.
There was a whole room filled with pictures
of the Savior.
They served soup and homemade rolls,
We didn't take any since we ate before
we left home.

After that we attended our first Christmas Program!
Bravo and Forte' night was amazing!
Good to see youth having so much fun on stage and singing songs
to get us in the spirit of the Christmas Season.

Abby was in Bravo!

Family with the girls after the show.

Olivia sang Danced and played the piano

Funny, I wore the same shirt last year...
3 December 2021
So glad we could attend.

Nativity Day 2 was this one.
We FaceTimed with Tina and Reagan.
While showing her the Nativities, I asked Grandpa to help set up the one he gifted me last Christmas.
It has a special place in the bookcase this year.

We spent the daylight hours putting up lights and
I set up almost all of the Nativities I could fit in the house.
I did start a list and am checking it twice.

The outside Nativity and Lights looked great to come home and see.

We will be at the Columbia River Temple with the YSA.
It will be our 4th trip to Tricities this week.
I read there are possible changes in our calling with the YSA.
We will enjoy them while we can.

December 2nd - 2022

We were at the Columbia RiverTemple on Thursday.
I finally got a picture of the Nativity there.
They moved it to the Fountain area instead on on the Metal platform on the front Corner.

It looks a lot like the one we set up at the Mormon Trail Center.
This was in 2020
The world was in lockdown, but Christmas still came.
We decorated the Trail Center.
The Nativity made the local paper.

This is my Newest Nativity
It's small, but I love it!
It was the new one at Fountain Books where NaDell works.
There are lots of new Nativities there, I can't buy them all.
I have so many already.
I set up a few each day the first week of Decmber and by Christmas they are mostly out.
I'll try and count them this year.
My Quilt Guild Secret Pal gave me Nativity Boxes to store them in.
Do I count the Boxes too?

Thanks for looking!

December 1st 2022

The day all Missouri Star Quilters and Jenny Box Recipients have waited for is Here!
I wrapped gifts for Paul to open too.
They're in the tote.
Nativities go up first at my house.
The flat serfaces were cleared for Thanksgiving so it made my job easier.

I love Nativities and have so many to share on my Social Media.
I can't share the Secret Stitching so I share the things I can.

This was Yesterday...
New T-shirt with Embroidery design speaks truth. I like to Party and by party I mean stay home and Sew. I got to do that again today!!

Make it a December to Remember!

Thanksgiving and Anniversary and Quiltville Mystery, Oh MY!

I made it!!
Got my Haircut, finally...

Hubby changed the Living Room around.
I cleaned the floors with the WOOD solution in my Wet Jet Swiffer.
I love the natural WOOD.
So glad we pulled up that Carpet, many years ago.

Had a nice Thanksgiving with the Goodson family.
A groupie with all of us.
My Selfie stick wouldn't work.
Janessa said we matched...lol
Happy that we have them so close in Walla Walla!

YEP, We Made a Thanksgiving Buffet.
(Vintage/Antique Tablecloth that was my Moms)
Turkey Gravy boat from my Christmas Around the World days.
Please pass the Yummy Potatoes, Stuffing and Gravy again!!!
We had Chocolate and Pumpkin Pie.
I should have only eaten the Pumpkin...but the Chocolate was so good.
Whipped Cream and Chocolate shavings on top!

Found this while searching for a few other things.
No label, Bad Binding and Wavy edges.
The Turkey is a little crooked too.

Black Friday brings the First Clue in the Winter Quiltville Mystery
Click HERE to find the clues.
Bonnie included my favorite color this year and I'm Sew Happy!
The Aqua goes good with the Purple.
Who would have thought??
Bonnie has me worried with the ORANGE though.
I may change it, depending on what we do with that color in the next few weeks.
Thinking of a gray, since we've added it to a few of the mysteries I have a stash of it.

4-Patches ready for pressing and twisting the seams.
I sewed in my Fuzzy Jammies all Day!
Hubby went to Tri-Cities without me. I woke up and the car was gone.
Our Anniversary is just another day.
Memories of the actual day come to my mind.
We came out of the Temple into a Blizzard, so a Quiet Day at Home sewing was just right.

Roadtripping to Wyoming

Elizabeth and Olivia joined us for a
Quick trip to Wyoming
We left early on Friday morning

We stopped at Chick-fil-a and Kneaders on the way.
Yummy food and fun to take a groupie by the Christmas Tree at Kneaders.

Saturday was Oliver's Baptism.
The 4 older Cousins went to the Star Valley Temple
Saturday morning.

They met us at Thayne Stake Center for the Baptism
We love getting Before and after pictures.

And of course a picture with the Cousins.
Olivia, Oliver and Elizabeth

We enjoyed our short time, it was cold!

I made some Caramel Popcorn for a treat
We decided to go home on Sunday, driving in as much daylight as possible.
Just a few side stops at Temples & a fun Rest Stop
 to stretch our legs

WOW- Wednesday

I finally got the DH to get me a bigger Embroidery Machine.
After a visit to my favorite Bernina dealer, we made a deal.
I'm sew Spoiled and I LIKE it!
This gently used and new Embroidery Module came home yesterday.

It only does Embroidery.
Push Button to Start, NO FOOT PEDAL.
I love the auto cutter and the Bobbin alert.
It has a BIG Bobbin.
I'm taking a few Classes to learn about all the Bells and Whitsles is has.

Great for those smaller projects that I love to make from Kimberbell.
Yes, I am a bit addicted to Embroidery right now.
Using up some fun Novelty Prints and Fat Quarters.
No sneaky Peeks yet! Just wait and see...

I had to do some Shuffling and re-arranging of totes downstairs to get to this table.
Sturdy enough and big enough to hold the Machine.
Extra supplies in the rolling cart and drawers I already had.
It is temporarily here in the Hallmark Watching place.
AKA: Grandma's Christmas Sweat Shop.
I can lock people out so they don't get a sneak peek.by tea
DH likes to tease and put the lock on, I don't mind getting locked in there.
When my Thanksgiving Cactus blooms it gets me in the MOOD for the Holidays.

This was Monday.
The blooms today are even bigger.

Whatcha Working on this WOW- Wednesday?

New Month- Novem-burr

 The weatherman/lady was Correct again!
November came in with lots and lots of Rain.

I love the month of November
So, so much to be Grateful for.
The nice patron running out asked if she could take my Picture. No thanks, I had to document the missing Elephant Ear plant.
DH likes to do more than one Session when he goes.
I left to run errands and get a sweater at Fountain Books,  I left my coat at home, oops.

Quiltville Mystery colors
"Chilhowie Mystery"
I looked for the Paint cards at 2 different Lowe's and at my Sherwin Williams.
They look good next to the fabric from the Walla Walla Valley Quilt Festival Block Challenge.

I uncovered my Stash tote of Purples.
I'm well-supplied there!

I'll either switch the Purple for the Orange,
or use a peachier color.
I just can’t make a Halloween colored quilt.
I think I'm good with Aquas too.
There's been aqua in several Mysteries.

Somebody got 'Butched' at Great Clips.
I told him not to cut-off all of his curls.
Good thing it grows back.
Hope he doesn't catch pneumonia on his walks.

We had over 50 Trick or Treaters.
Must be a record number.

What are you Grateful for today?
