Monday- After Quilt Camp

Yesterday was Father's Day!
His girls spoiled him.

The socks he got at Mill Creek Ward.

Friday evening activity.
Had to do it!

Sunday was the anniversary of my Grandpa Brown's birthday.
Thanks for the picture - my Cousin Teresa!

We Had a rock painting day at Powered by Fabric. For Clayton's Rock garden My Quilt buddy is making.
He loved the "Seahawks"
The purple rock has a blue heart for his mom!

All the rocks painted by friends today.

My Dahlia is blooming early.

Hydrangea blooms are coming.

This is a pretty lily!

Bonnie Hunter calls these "Ditch lilies"

This Grandma is tired!
Yesterday wore me out.

Friyay Flimsy

Grandma's Quilt Camp is done for this week.
2 & 1/2  Days!

Elle stitching her last border on.

Ta-Da!

We went to Grandmas favorite place for Photos.
On the infamous limb...

Over the Rail at the Gazebo.

Super Elle!

Back at Grandma's

Elle and her Quilt

This BIG  spool is empty.
Elle used a few bobbins!

She almost used a whole spool of Aurifil
I am so glad got her Quilt finished this far.
She learned so much.
1st time using a Sewing Machine.
1st time cutting fabric with a Rotary Cutter.
1st time using a seam ripper.
She learned to re-thread the Machine.
Wind a bobbin, press to the Dark side,
Pin blocks together, stitch from pin to pin.
measure then cut the sashings and borders.
A nearly perfected 1/4" seam.

1st time spending time with this Grandma.
Cousin time with Abby- bonus!!

Wow-Wednesday

Quiltin' Grandma Camp shirts made and delivered.

We started the 2nd Day with Breakfast Croissants
Alfresco,  lol the front porch.

Abby chose her favorite block

She was a trooper, learning to use the Essential Triangle Tool.
290 + Hsts.
We put her blocks on a sheet to look at them.
 Not the final arrangement.
Lots of ideas formulating for sashing and borders.
On point or straight set, wait and see.

Elle sewed her first row together.

Elle with 4 rows sewn with fun sashing.
I couldn't be more proud of these 2 Granddaughters.
They chose to come back to the house and keep sewing,  after we went to lunch at Taco Bell.
DD#1 Asked what I was doing, lol
Fixing cleaning, changing Needles and oiling machines!
Keeping the bobbins full!

We'll have a finishing day or two.
KD couldn't come this week.

Now to finish the Quilt on the Q20.
It's waited long enough.

Whacha Working On?

Monday& Tuesday Grandma Camp has Begun.

Let the Grandma Quilt Camp Begin!

5" squares turn into 4- patches.
Purples of every shade.

Hsts by the dozens
Ready to press and count.
Just a few more to sew.
We took a break to get pins and magnetic
dishes to hold them.
Had 2 for one Calzones at the park then went for ice-cream.

We have a little fun along the way.
Can't wait to see what these parts become.
Our first timer picked up the cutting, pinning, sewing and pressing right away.
Proud of both of them!

Wow-Wednesday TA-DA

It's Done ✔️
Not Quilted yet but a Flimsy.
Hopefully Quilted by July 4th.

There are a few pieces touching that are the same.
They are staying there.

I put that last corner on yesterday.
Shared it at Guild last night.

We had a fun time swapping, at least 9 of us remembered to bring a UFO to swap.
We should have documented who got which UFO.
This one is mine.
I stole it the 2nd time.
So I got to keep it.

It just needs Quilting. It will be a fun one
 to quilt in July.

Maybe I'll be caught up by then.
Life happens while you're having fun!

Happy Hump Day!

Monday, rest day!

It was a busy weekend!

Friday night, we stopped by to give Vincent his card
He graduated in Tri-Cities.

We drove on to Zillah, where his cousin
Lydia Graduated.
No pictures allowed to post.
It was good to see all of her siblings came home
for the occasion.

Saturday was our Guild Yard Sale.
I was in the back.
I sold a few things and made a little extra.
The rest will be offered at the free Table or given to
the Round Tuit Room in Tri-Cities.
I didn't take a picture of my table or of my helper.
Thankful Jackson came to help his Grandma
 and all the ladies

I made Chow mein for the linger Longer at YSA.
I forgot to take a picture.
It was a busy Sunday!

On Sunday we went to his Seminary Recognition.
It's always good when both Grandparents

I got the needed fabric in the mail.
I can finish the Wedding DWR Quilt
Hurray!

Wow-Wednesday

 It's been a week already!
I took my Indigo Way Mystery to UFO and
Open Sew days at Powered by Fabric.
On the wall before trimming.
I decided not to make partial blocks.
This just needs a few borders.
I might need a few more tri-rec blocks.

I have a few things to add to this Yard Sale.
Extra books, rulers and some fabrics to mark.
I have a few machines in my collection that
need a home.
If you're local come see us.

Had to fix a flier.
Cut and paste on an old flier.

Had a Guild Board meeting in the evening.
I love the ladies I work with.

Today I Quilt! Gotta get one off the frame.

What are you working on?

Monday, Monday

It's a UFO Day and Birthday Lunch Day today
down at Powered by Fabric
I have a UFO perfect to work on.
 All the blocks are done.
Or enough to make a good sized Quilt.
This is Indigo Way from a few years ago.
I need another Red White and Blue Quilt, lol.
There are partial blocks as setting triangles
in the pattern.
That's why this Quilt wasn't finished.
Do I put solid setting Triangles and get it done??
What color would you suggest?
Red or White or Blue?
Dark or light Blue?
Oh the possibilities.

I'm waiting for the background fabric to
Finish the last 2 corner blocks on this DWR.
It fits on my Queen sized bed.
I spent Friday evening after I mowed the lawn sewing it together.
I even pieced a few outside background
pieces to get this far.

Saturday was a Hearts and Flowers Day.
Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild Sew Day.
eddie doesn't charge us for this day.
In the Back room they were putting Quilts together on the Design Wall.

Aren't they fun??

These are the 2 Zinnia flowers I made in 6" and 12"
Opps,
I was tired after my late night.
The leaves are upside down on the 6" block!
I also made a 12" Basket Block and a couple of
Nine Patches andForgot to take a picture of them. Spool blocks.
Forgot to take a picture of them.
My Quilt buddy made a Lot more, cause
she didn't sleep in.
I did remember to get a picture with her
before she left.

I'm planning how to get the Granddaughters together in June to have Grandma's Quilt Camp.
Stay tuned, the newest 11 year old Granddaughter wants to come.
The Sweets Game might be fun to go to one night.
