It has been a Good Month!

I got a Text to meet this cute Grand-daughter on her Field Trip to Ft Walla Walla.
  Her Mother was there too
This display had some of my favorites.  Dolls and a Toy Sewing machine.
I looked for the Quilts but only saw this one in the Gift shop/

Because it's still "MAY FOR ME"

I had to spend a day catching up with some of my BOM & BOW.
Nothing like waiting until the last minute to make the May Blocks for the "Vacation Time" Quilt.
Pat Sloan calls it "Beach Bag Bliss"
It usually rains when I have been to the Beach so once again my block reflects that.
Rain all around and Bathing beauties on the sandy beach.

I enjoy making these 12" blocks - on Thursday not so much.
I was trying to use the Flying geese method but due to Directional Raindrop and Background.
The fabrics had to be changed around from where I had originally planned.

I got my Farm Girl Friday Blocks made just in time for the Next ones to be revealed today HERE.
 Canning Jars & Chicken Foot

I have added another Blue and White block to my Loyal Union Sampler on the Sidebar
G-5 Memory

I hope this May I have made a few Memories.
My Mother's Memory has been on my mind a lot with Mother's Day, Romas Birthday and the Visit I had with my Niece when she gave me these sweaters that were my Mom's.
There were 2 so I had to share one with my only Sister.

Wearing the sweater makes me feel like I'm getting a Hug from Heaven.
My DH took this Picture for us.
My Sister is retiring this year as soon as School is over.
She and her DH are going to serve an LDS Mission.
Their house is already SOLD!
It is meant to happen.

May 2015 for ME

Is spending fun times with my grandsons who live in town.
My 4 year old grandson helped me choose colors and pin this block so I could sew it
while I watched him on Tuesday.
my 12" Apron Strings Block for the Farm Girl Vintage Friday's Instagram SAL

& Browsing Blog land for the Quiltmaker 100 Blocks Blog tour. HERE
I see some of the New Designers and visit their Blogs on this Blog tour.
It's a fun way to make some "ME" time each morning.

Just look at the Cover!  Which block will you be making next?
I wonder which Block is Bonnie Hunter's.
Could it be one on the cover?
We will have to go to Quiltville.com to find out.

Today I get to go and watch back to back Baseball games!
That's a ME activity too.  This Grandma LOVES Baseball
I remember spending our Saturdays at the baseball park in Pasco.
Walla Walla Sweets
Pretty soon my hometown Baseball team will start playing.
I have already bought my tickets for Opening Day!

Creative Goodness- Setting Goals

It's Friday again and a NEW Month as well.
As promised I have put the Numbers into the Random Generator.
The WINNER selected for the Splash Rotary Cutter is...

#4 Commenter was Sharon H.  She was the only one who said she was a Lefty.
Of the 8 Comments the rest were all right-handed. One said she can use Both.
I have Sharon's address and will send it off so she can have fun with it for Mother's Day.

I've been looking at these 2 books for inspiration for my Civil War Doll Quilt.
My first thought was to make Dresden FANS,
I wasn't going to show any sneak peeks in case my partner reads my Blog.
I can't find any in either of the books or on
Civil War Quilt sites.  Back to the Drawing board...
I'll have to decide what to do with these now. They are tiny 4.5" blocks

I am so happy that Spring has arrived and the Snowball Bush I got for Mother's Day
from J & K last year is Blooming.
I googled it and see that It is called many names. Viburnum Macrocephalum is one of its Botanical names. Viburnum plicatum Popcorn,  or  Viburnum Roseum, Chinese Snowball,
I have to go outside and enjoy the Springtime once in a while.
I saw my Strawberries are all a bloom too.  Soon I'll have fresh Strawberries.
I'll be attending the Krazy Horse Quilter's Show this week-end.
That's part of Making "May for ME"

Happy MAY DAY!!!

Going for Blackout...BINGO

I have had several days of no-buttons to sew on my BINGO quilt. Very SAD about that.  They must be saving them all for the last week so I can get the BLACKOUT!  Sharon of VROOMANS QUILTS warned me not to quit, she did one year and missed winning the BIG PRIZE.
I almost have a vertical Bingo on the 4th row.  I just need a 'Ghost' to be called.  Only a week and a day left to get more buttons on here.  Many of the Bingo's have been claimed and prizes awarded.

The callers are HERE and HERE and HERE  and HERE.
