May Goal - OMG - WOW Wednesday

I'm trying again to get an OMG Finish this Month.
May hasn't gotten off on a great Start -
NO Stitching has been accomplished as of today.
I'm not even joining the fun with 30 minutes per Day in May crowd.

My OMG and only Goal I'm setting for MAY is:
Quilting and Binding my En Provence, Quiltville Mystery
I made the smaller version and this was taken back in February, on a rare Sunny Day.
Linking up over HERE for my OMG.

Judy L chose #11 for the UFO of the Month HERE.
It's my 30's SBS- 34 more Blocks to make
Ha , That's just not happening.
just 12 to make if I squish them together like this.
It's been in the works since 2009.

Needless to say My Month's Calendar is Over Booked with Other things...
And this is going on over at the Quilty Pleasures Blog
#15 Issue and I had to just go buy my Copy because I haven't had timefor the Blog Tour.

It's Baseball  & Track Season!!!
This year I have 5 grandson's playing Baseball and one Granddaughter in Track.
Last Saturday night we stayed in Tri-Cities to watch a game.
It was an extra treat to watch #2 Son help Coach the team.
I missed his great Pitching game the day before.
Grandpa got a little SUN!
Most of the games we've attended in Walla Walla have been Chilly!
I know I'll be missing some games while I'm traveling.
I try to get to at least one or two when I can.

& Browsing Blog land for the Quiltmaker 100 Blocks Blog tour. HERE
I see some of the New Designers and visit their Blogs on this Blog tour.
It's a fun way to make some "ME" time each morning.

Just look at the Cover!  Which block will you be making next?
I wonder which Block is Bonnie Hunter's.
Could it be one on the cover?
We will have to go to Quiltville.com to find out.

Today I get to go and watch back to back Baseball games!
That's a ME activity too.  This Grandma LOVES Baseball
I remember spending our Saturdays at the baseball park in Pasco.
Walla Walla Sweets
Pretty soon my hometown Baseball team will start playing.
I have already bought my tickets for Opening Day!

Design Wall Monday- June 9,2014 Baseball, Ballet and Blue Blocks

I had to wake up EARLY today to get some Blocks made to put up here on the Design Wall/Floor Post.
I didn't make last week's BOW :(  too many 'Y' seams.  Here is this Fridays' Loyal Union Sampler Block.
J-6 Twin Star

While I had Blue fabrics out it was an easy choice to cut out this Block of the Month Block.
Globetrotting Block #6 is done for the month- YEA!  St Louis, MO

My Weekend was spent watching mostly Baseball! It was fun to go and spend some time with DS#2's boys while he took his wife to "Farm Chicks" for her Birthday.
There was a Game Friday night to determine which team from the Losers Bracket had to play the Winner of the Winners Bracket in the Inner-City championship game on Saturday.  Because it was a Double elimination, the Loser of Friday's game would be OUT!   My grandson did well!  He got a good hit out to Right field and scored for his team. I was texting a play by play with his father  He played 2nd base and even got to pitch 2 innings. No Pressure... I didn't see the coach put him on the mound at first and had to hurry to get up and video it.  The pictures shows him 'On-Deck' waiting to go up to bat.  He got a Walk and a strike-out the other times at bat.  Final Score was 11-7.  His team WON! That meant he got to play on Saturday.
Saturday they played the team that beat them Thursday night.  If they won the first game they had to play them again. Once we got home they had to share all the details with the two Great Grandma who live with them.  It was still light outside so we played a while outside, hit a few balls, even Grandma hit one over their fence into the gravel. Colby hit a bunch out of the yard.

Saturday morning, up early and ready to PLAY BALL!
First at bat he hit another ball out over the first baseman's head.
We won't talk about the last two at bats...
His team scored first and were ahead until the "rally time"
The game was tied 6-6 in the 6th inning.
The final score 7-12
They got the 2nd place trophy

We drove through McDonald's drive thru to pick up Lunch we went back to their house & rested.
He has more games the next few weeks playing on a "Tournament' Team.
I asked the boys if they wanted to go and visit their Great- Grandma Crowther.
They agreed that would be a good thing to do.
After that visit, I took them to Columbia Park where their cousin was dancing with her Ballet group.
(with a stop for a Shaved Ice and some playtime on the Playground of Dreams)
This is my #2 Grand-Daughter ready to go onstage.
(picture borrowed from her mom's BLOG HERE)

I didn't know when their Parents were coming home for sure so we went to Grandma's favorite place to eat ---Taco Time!  I asked about getting my favorite Chicken Cassita Burrito with NO CHEESE or Sour Cream. He liked it so much he asked for a 2nd one. He and his brother both enjoyed their time with me.  We stopped for gas and bought a Birthday Cake at Albertson's to take home, as a surprise for their mom.
All in all a fun week-end.

I wish I could be working on my Midnight Flight, shown here - still awaiting the rest of the borders.

I would LOVE to be driving to Portland to see Bonnie Hunter tonight...
I will be at home instead, resting up from the busy week-end.
My Blogging, WASIQ, Royal Ridges Retreat friends will be there, LUCKY them!
Have fun Judy D & Sonja!!! Take lots of Pictures!!!
