WOW Wednesday - OMG DONE and Link-up

November 2016 was a BLUR in my Blogland.
I skipped a few posting days and pre-posted a few.
My OMG
"My Secret Garden"
pattern by Pat Sloan HERE

It is just a Flimsy but that was the GOAL!
Finished November 5th!
I got it done early because of my Busy, Busy Month.
I love it!  Shared it with my Guild.
The holders had it sideways, but it looked good that way too.

It's fun to have a Block of the Month that finishes before the end of the year!
What will Pat Sloan do for next year??
She had a poll on her facebook, maybe a Wall Hanging???

Linking up with Elm Creek Quilts HERE

Onward to December tomorrow and the Countdown to Christmas!
Lots and lots of Secret Stitching will be happening!
My Sweet Sister helped this year by sharing her plastic canvas Snowflakes
for the annual Ornaments that I didn't get made this year for the grandchildren.
I had two fun helpers.

One family is delivered, the rest will be delivered this weekend, I hope!

November - My Secret Garden Flimsy

After spending most of last week in bed with my Eye.
I somehow got a scratch on my Cornea.
Runny and itchy eye, not much stitching got done.

I laid the OMG Blocks back out to re-arrange them.
They are still in Month order just going vertical instead of Horizontal.
1,2,3,4, Down - 1st row.

I think I like it better than how it was.
It's time to get this one linked up with Pat Sloan over HERE.
I thought the sashings would be easy.
Just needed to cut the 2 1/2" strips and decide on Corner stones.

Then make the 4 Nine-Patches and add the final Border.
It won't take too long, Right???
 Just half the day.
Had to do a bit of "Frogging" too.
It's bright and I think it might fit my Queen size bed.
Another one to add to the TBQ pile.
Happy to have my OMG done in the first week of the month.
Maybe it will get Quilted too.

Design Wall/Floor Monday - October 31, 2016

It's the end of October and I have Pat Sloan & Tula Pink on my Design Wall/Floor.
All of my 12 Blocks for this BOM are Finished.

It didn't make it to a "Flimsy" for the OMG, oh well.
Some months just go that way.

I added more Tula Pink Blocks to the stack.
My Block Count for October is better than the last.
Total Blocks = 72

It's Halloween in the USA and we already Celebrated with the Kiddos at the Trunk or Treat.
Here's our 2016 Costumes
Thank heavens for battery Operated lights, a Sunshine Generation BOw tie & a Burger King Crown.
1975 Prom dress, Mom's Shawl, Earings & my Tiara.
Here are the local Grand sons who came with us.
A Firefighter and a Grim Reaper, his mask is on backwards for the picture.
No masks allowed, we want to see who it is.

WOW - Wednesday October 26,2016

It's a WET Wednesday in the Pacific Northwest.
A rainy day to stay inside and SEW!
I played in the Quilt Zone and got another Block made for my OMG project.

Pat Sloan has Block 10 and all the finishing instructions HERE
I laid them out and saw that I still need the Block 9 and Block 2 Bonus block.
I probably won't get my OMG to the Flimsy, I might get all the Blocks done.
That is good enough for me.
Maybe not enough to call it Finished over at Red Letter Quilts HERE.

I have played too much in the Tula Fabrics.
Blocks 61-70
YEA, only 30 Left to make.

I'm finally getting some Organizing done in the Quilt Zone too.
No Pictures...
You know how the mess is wore while you're in the midst of it.
My Cutting table needs to be CLEARED so I can be ready for the Quiltville Mystery 2016
I thought Bonnie might shared the color cards on QuiltCAM last night, (Sad face)
I put my Phone in view while I sewed a few hourglass Leader/Enders.
I have to cut a bunch to have by my machine during the Mystery, of course.
My Block count is bound to be BIGGER this month.

Happy Wednesday!
5 sleeps until Halloween...

Design Wall Monday and OMG - October 3, 2016

It was a Busy weekend.
Mostly spent time listening to General Conference.  I did get in a little Quilting.
My Allietare' got Done and DH helped me hang it on the garage and take pictures.
They didn't' turn out as nice as I hoped.
I'll try again today if it doesn't Rain.
The sun was shining brightly over the garage.
This one gets a scalloped border so it might take a while.

Also in the Binding stage is This Quilt that got quilted last month.
My OMG for the past 2 months.
I have misplaced the tote with leftover fabrics to bind it with.
Imagine That!

Tonight is Scrap Night at Sew n Vac.
I am working on the quilting of final borders of my Squares in a Circle.
"Dancing Circles"

I can turnover my leftover Scrap-it Forward bag at the next Guild Mtg when I show this.

With 3 near finishes, I have to think of something NEW for my OMG!
Since I didn't get my two My Secret Garden Blocks made for September.
and the new Block has been given...
I can finish the final blocks and get this one to FLIMSY in October.

Design Wall Monday on Tuesday - August 9, 2016

I left in a hurry on Friday and didn't get my DWM post pre-written as planned.
This was one of the last things I sewed before packing.
"My Secret Garden"

Block 8
Butchart Gardens  Victoria BC
It was fun to give my Tucker Trimmer a workout again.
Here are ALL the Blocks including the Bonus Block 1

I had a fun Trip and collected more Row by Row Patterns and License Plates.
I'll show them later.
This post is a day late already...

Design Wall Monday- August 1,2016 Goals & OMG

It's a Bye, Bye to July!!!

July Goals
1- Finish my Row by Row quilt -OMG - DONE
2- Make Guild Lotto Blocks -DONE x 8
3- Catch up on 1930's Farmer's Wife -Nope

Block count was aided by a Marathon sewing day on Saturday!
I didn't get my stitches in much during the week so Saturday I hit the "Quilt Zone' with a purpose!
First up was my Bonus Block for My Secret Garden.
Pat had us make the 1st Block again with the colors moved and changed around.
It was fun to play again with this BIG Block.
Lots of Hst's to make it and my Tucker Trimmer got a workout!
 Here are all the Blocks
August Block came out this morning HERE

Next it was my Tiny Temecula Circa 2016 Block of the Week x 2
"Formal Garden" is found HERE
I have 4 more sets of 2 to get sewn and a bunch of HST's that measure 1.5".
Again my Tucker Trimmer came in handy!

I got more Hourglass blocks made between the stitches.
I haven't decided how I will put them together yet.

I will have a constant of the white or Off white in each block.
I don't want another quilt like my Scrappy Bow Tie.
It had no place to rest your eyes.

Secret Sewing continued and added to my Block count.
I wondered how to calculate the blocks in my Row by Row.
I decided with help from  Susan @ 'Desert sky Quilting' if there were separate blocks for a row,
they counted.
I didn't count the Blocks I made for the "Beach Quilt" this month.

Total Blocks = 144

August Goals and my One Monthly Goal
1- More Secret Stitching - maybe it will be a "Mystery" quilt for Sew n Vac.
2- Circa 2016 Temecula Blocks
3- August "My Secret Garden' Block of the Month
4- Guild Lotto Blocks, Put my version together and quilt it.
4- Cut LOTS of Hourglass units and Secret Blocks to sew at Retreat and Fair.

So, I have chosen my OMG .
It will be ...
'Windy City Stars'
DD # 1 said she loved this one and I should finish it when I posted my TBQ's HERE.

Friday - Getting it done day

The Block of the Month is Done for
My Secret Garden.

I had to try the Plaid fabric like Pat Sloan did HERE.
I couldn't find a blue plaid so the Green worked ok, there is a little blue in it.

Halifax is in Nova Scotia.
I had to Google it HERE to see where exactly it is.

All 6 of the 16" blocks made so far this year.

I should have been working on the Baptism Dress for DGD but I made the block first.
I had to go and buy a Zipper.  Boy am I out of practice on those.
More pictures later of her in the dresses.
One she'll wear to be baptized and the other for Pictures after.

I've already selected my OMG and Linked up.
June Goals
1- Make Guild Lotto/ Charity Block
2- Farm Girl Vintage  - take to Retreat and assemble the quilt.
3- Make Blocks for Family Reunion Quilt
4- Quilt Grand Illusion
5- Catch up on 1930's Farmer's Wife

Row by Row starts on June 21st.
The theme is "Home Sweet Home"
Collecting rows while I travel will be fun.
How many will I collect?  Who knows?
I've seen a bunch of cute ones from the Seattle  and Portland area.
Many of my Local shops have made rows this year
Click HERE to see all the Washington Shops
It should be easier to get the 8 needed without much travel.

The Quilt Show featured Janet Lutz HERE
You can watch it FREE through June 5th

I learned that there is a 9th Row at Quilt Market.
Not all Shops will have this row,  there are 3 versions - they can choose one or all..
It's a separate part of the Row by Row this year.
The proceeds from it will go to the Rescue Mission and Local Homeless Charities.
