December Day 17- getting it done...

 My Christmas is going...
ready or not it's next week.
My Tree has been Waiting and Waiting.
Yesterday was the Day to Decorate with a little help from Dear Daughter #2 who stopped by.
It's more fun with help!
Done!!
I found everything that I have been looking for.
Amazing where I put stuff after Christmas last year.

Nativity, Bells, Angels, Lambs & a few other things.
Since I gave Paul the 'Names of Christ' Ornaments,
they went on first.

Today's Nativity was a Secret Pal Gift
at Quilt Guild here in Walla Walla.
The giver and date are on the box and I put those away already.  Oops

The Packages are being sent THANKS to Dear Daughter #1 who can do it for less than USPS.

The Mystery Part 3 took an All-Nighter
to get worked on.
I even WON Bobbin Chicken.

Clipped and in the box.

Next week I will just print the PDF
Part 4 and 5-  I will finish Ater Christmas.

Day 16 Nativity
Made for Paul's Parents in 2008.
So glad I wrote the date on the back.

I can't find the one I made for us in Blues.

The Quiltville Chilhowie Mystery Part 3 is about half done.
I still need to trim the 'dog ears' off the Quarter Triangle Squares.
Part 4 is posted HERE
Ready to stitch some HSTS this week.
Glad I found the Old Essential Triangle Tool behind the Quilting Machine the other day.
I ordered a new one just in case.
It is the BEST ruler for hsts!!!

Paul and I haven't opened our gifts for this day yet.
I'll post them with tomorrow's post.
We have just 9 Gifts left from the 25 we have wrapped.
I heard ladies complaining about all the fuss of Christmas, sad for them.
They said they do less every year.
I am tired, but I want all the Decorations and Nativities on Display and the Treats made and shared.

Happy Birthday to the Baby Jesus!

December Day 14 - Snowing again

We  woke up early to go to TriCities for my Bernina Embroidery Class.
I had questions and got a few answers, too.
Yahoo for learning new stuff with this old Brain.
There were only 3 in the class.
Ida from the old Hermiston Bernina store is the instructor.
We made a cute tea towel with a Poinsettia stitched on it.

Nativity today was my fake Olive Wood one from
Christmas Around the World days in the 1980's.
I put it on the hexie Trivet I got this week.

I changed my Cover Photo to a collage today.
It's almost all of my Nativities on the shelves and tables.

Happy Wednesday the snow quit before I had to drive on it.
Paul was at the Temple while I took my class.

We'll be going again tomorrow for our shift.
I think Friday is a good day to stay home and work on stuff.

Happy Christmas!
Have you watched the Tabernacle Christmas on PBS yet?
My friend, Deonn is singing her last time on this one.

12 Days Until Christmas!

Nativity for today...
A gift from Joe and Kori from 2021.
I got it a bit later than Christmas, because of Covid.
It's a Nesting one, so fun to see from the top,
and from the level.
I am remembering Christmas every day!

The roads are dicy, ICY and dangerous.
I'm glad we didn't brave them this morning.
Last night, we had a fun White Elephant game with a story,
right and left passing around the circle.
We found some things to gift and I think they were well recieved.
The Christmas Sweatshirt was put on as soon as it was opened.
A Santa Mug filled with Candy is always a good gift.

 Today's gift from Jenny...can't show Paul's
(Christmas Surprises)

Walla Walla Quilt Guild tonight
Potluck and show n share.
I don't have much to show yet.
Just wait until after all the gifts are opened!!

December- Day 10 Nativity- Making Christmas last..

I found my Nativity Puppets
I can't remember where I learned to make them in 2008.
I think it was at a Super Saturday in 2008 then
I made them for all the families that year.
The Blog doesn't go back farther than 2008.

I shared them with the Primary children for sharing time.
NaDell's family does the Puppets with Andy's Family on Christmas Eve
They've added to the collection too.
I ask you..."How will you Tell the Story of the Babe this year??"

I am trying to make Christmas last for more than one day with the opening of the
Jenny Box and gifts I collected and wraped for Paul.

Day 8 was a Button Jar with a few Surprise Buttons inside.
Paul got Altoids

Day 9 and pattern to make a Button Pillow.
Paul got the Christmas CD from last years Tabernacle Choir Broadcasst

and Day 10 brought Needles with a birdy Needle Threader
Paul opened the Book recently written by his Cousin Richard Nash.

Only 15 more days until Christmas.
The Tree is up, decorations go on it later this week.

What wil I do this Windy Saturday?

Day 9 of Nativities - Our Young Sister Angel - Isabelle

Nativity - Day 9
I couldn't choose just one today.
These are a few of the smaller Nativities on my Plate Rail, Shelves and Window sills.

It's been a heart wrenching day.
One of our Sister Missionaries from the Trail Center
was killed last week in a Hit and Run in Provo, Utah.
Her services were today in Salt Lake City.
I'm still in Tears!!!

Here is us after going to Downtown Omaha for our Sister Rings.
She found a ring that didn't fit her and gave it to me that day.
She is standing next to me.

She watched a Movie with me on the new Screen
Can't remember which Movie it was.

Pioneer Day July 2020
There she is beside me again

And in August we had to say goodbye!
Sister Parr & Sister DiVall

We are so glad we knew her and loved her.
