WOW -Wednesday

 I missed posting Monday.
Too tired from the busy-ness of last week.

This week was Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Quilt Guild here in Walla Walla
I needed/wanted to make a couple Lotto Blocks.
Easy pattern found HERE

I didn't win all of the 18 blocks, Whew!
One less UFO in my Quilt Zone.

These Pinwheel blocks have been hanging out.
Since February 2019 HERE
I took them on our trip to Utah.
Wendy let me use her machine to sew 4
together to share at the Reunion.
I didn't get to really share.  😕

So here it is, what I was going to share.
Jenny's  Disappearing Pinwheel Baskets HERE
I did them in Reds and finished that Quilt.
I love the Pastels.
Time to make it now so it's ready for Spring.
The colors make me happy on a gloomy day!
Fall is NOT my favorite season.
Everything dies!
I will miss my Pretty flowers.
The Begonias and Coleus are doing good!

I have to try and propagate a few to keep
over the Winter.
See the tiny roots growing??

I have the House to myself so I can Get Stitching.
Hubby mowed the Lawn. I did it last week.

Happy Wednesday!
Whatcha making today?

Wow-Wednesday- White outside...

Uggg, I looked out and saw that a bit of White is covering the grass.
I have no Tree up and it's kinda sad.
The lights stayed up all year.
Had to put up the star.
The Christmas Cactus is still putting out blooms.
Christmas cards are arriving and getting clipped to the strings.
 Surprise Quiltcam! YEA!!!
And what a Happy Mail Day
Yesterday we got more cards and this package from Janet O.
She knows I love Nativities!
I also love her Homemade Soaps.
Thank you,  Thank you!!!
The days are rushing by.
7 days til Christmas
19 days til the MTC.
15 til we leave Walla Walla.

WOW - Wednesday January 10, 2018

I'm still working on the Quiltville Mystery.
"On Ringo Lake"

I got the Corner sewn in time to take to Quilt Guild.
I had to leave early for another Meeting and didn't get to Show it.

I re-arranged the remaining Blocks and if I make it smaller, I'm half done.
I have the pieces to add the Sashings.
I think a Brown Border would be good.
What do my Blogging friends think??

Here are the letters and Picture Blocks so far.

This is all the letters made as of last week.
Lots of e's needed for the Grandchildren's names.

I also worked on a New Project for a Class at Walla Walla Sew n Vac.
I am getting enough ABC's made to spell some things
.I made the extra letters the Exclamation mark and the Heart.
It was fun to find Prints to use in the Heart.
Can you see the "Elvis Presley" autograph??
I can make something for Valentine's Day next month or something for the Quilt Zone.
Practicing the spacing between the letters.
I hope some Quilters sign up for my Classes this year.

It's my Momma's Birthday today!
She would have been 96 had she lived.
40 years gone and I still Miss her!!
Here's a fun Picture of her and Daddy from the Family Slides we found.
On thier 25th Wedding Anniversary in 1963

WOW- Wedesday - Working on it...

In my shuffle of projects for last week's Sew-in...
I unearthed my tote with the Bonnie Hunter Retreat projects.

These 4 Midnight Flight Blocks need a Border.

Will I make the border with the units from the original pattern this time??
Here I am at the Retreat helping her hang the original.

That means lots of cutting of Rectangles and flippy corners.
Judy D has her Midnight Flight on Facebook today too.

Last nights Quilt Guild was very different, we played "Strip Bingo"
we bought our Bingo cards with jelly roll strips.
My Card wasn't a winner and that's ok.
Quilt show coming up this week-end.
My trip to Portland has been cancelled.

Whatcha Working on this WOW??

WOW Wednesday - 1st Day of the 2017 Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days

Well, What I'll be Working on the rest of this week is...
Watching the Quilts at the Fair & All the People walking by in the Pavilion.

It's my 5th and FINAL Year
This is where I will be found most of the time.
See that White table?  On the other side is my Sewing Table- waiting for my Sewing machine
This is the PVC Rack my DH; Paul made to display the smaller Quilts
There were so many we had to go and put in another 32" to hold more.
I still needed to use my other Quilt Racks.
These will have to hold you over until I add pictures of the Winning Quilts.

2013 - I sewed my Pickle Dish Blocks
cut-off bonus triangles and squared them to 1 1/2"
2014 - I worked on a demo-ed a Tutorial from Jenny Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Company
& made enough blocks for two Little Buckaroo Quilts.
2015 - was the year of 4-Patch I made 147 of them with help from the fair-goers
2016 year I did a Bed-Turning and sewed the 4-Patches with Siggy Blocks.

The THEME for 2017
"Honor the Past - Look to the Future"
I've tried to think of something new and different to do---
Build a Block is what I've decided to try.
I'm taking my Go Baby Accuquilt to cut the squares.
I will have the Fair-Goers choose squares to make 9-Patch Blocks for a Local Charity.
I will sew them between the other stitches.
I have a Border to attach and some Tula Pink Blocks that need sashing, too.

Have a Great WEDNESDAY!
I'll be at a Concert Tonight with Josh Turner and Ned Ledoux, who will start out the night.

I'm very GRATEFUL for all who have Volunteered to help me this year.

May Goal - OMG - WOW Wednesday

I'm trying again to get an OMG Finish this Month.
May hasn't gotten off on a great Start -
NO Stitching has been accomplished as of today.
I'm not even joining the fun with 30 minutes per Day in May crowd.

My OMG and only Goal I'm setting for MAY is:
Quilting and Binding my En Provence, Quiltville Mystery
I made the smaller version and this was taken back in February, on a rare Sunny Day.
Linking up over HERE for my OMG.

Judy L chose #11 for the UFO of the Month HERE.
It's my 30's SBS- 34 more Blocks to make
Ha , That's just not happening.
just 12 to make if I squish them together like this.
It's been in the works since 2009.

Needless to say My Month's Calendar is Over Booked with Other things...
And this is going on over at the Quilty Pleasures Blog
#15 Issue and I had to just go buy my Copy because I haven't had timefor the Blog Tour.

Can You say ... Squirrel?
Judy D has been craving these Caramel M & M's on FB.
I had to go search for some...
Found at the 7-11
That's my WOW for this Wednesday!
YEA, they aren't too bad either, betcha can't eat just one package, lol

It's Baseball  & Track Season!!!
This year I have 5 grandson's playing Baseball and one Granddaughter in Track.
Last Saturday night we stayed in Tri-Cities to watch a game.
It was an extra treat to watch #2 Son help Coach the team.
I missed his great Pitching game the day before.
Grandpa got a little SUN!
Most of the games we've attended in Walla Walla have been Chilly!
I know I'll be missing some games while I'm traveling.
I try to get to at least one or two when I can.

WOW - Wednesday - White-out AGAIN

This BIG Box arived from California!
Sylvia's Friend was sharing her stash and since my bags were full I had her ship mine.
Lots of Shirtings to use in the Bonnie Hunter Retreat Quilt this coming May.
Even some yardage for backings.
THANKS Sylvia and Dawn for sharing!

APQS  is giving away another "MILLIE"

I heard it was Embroidery Month so I have been playing with my Bernina Embroidery Machine.
These CTR Pillowcases were supposed to be done last year around this time.
I want to make a new Church Bag for my new Calling so I stitched up this cute little
flowers and butterfly.
Crazy Hubby says I spelled it WRONG.
I before E except after C
Right or Wrong I'm keeping it.

I hope to be Quilting on this SOON,
I've got a few new patterns to try out on it.
I didn't get much quilting done Monday and Tuesday.
Just a bit in the Morning and I don't like to have to turn "Betsy"  off halfway through.

The Goodson Boys requested Grandma Mary time.
This was Tuesday - Big Fluffy Flakes of Snow all Day!
No automatic alt text available.
They helped Grandpa, even though the snow was still coming down.

I swept the walkway twice and looked out again to see it covered.
No use Sweeping again...

WOW- Wednesday

The Guild Lotto Blocks are stacking up.

Before the last guild this is the stacks of blocks.
Guild ladies brought a variety of blocks in October.
On the right are the ones from October.
Congrats to Pat C for winning the Fat Quarters.
We had a SEW-In last week.
I took them to work on, plus my own set of 12 blocks to assemble.
I got the sashing and Cornerstones added, next up the Border.

What color border would you choose?

 It was "Tiara Time"
I had a Busy Weekend so I didn't stay for the whole SEW-in.
It was our LDS Ward Harvest Dinner.

I'll be working on these blocks a while.
The Month of December is so busy I decided there wouldn't be a Block to work for November.
I have printed the last 3 patterns for the ladies if they want them to complete their own.
They are a bit more Challenging I found.
I saved them for the last for a reason.

Next year, sadly I will NOT be doing the Block of the Month for Guild.
I am SAD for losing another of my Favorite things to do.

Whatcha working on this Wednesday???

WOW Wednesday - October is half gone

Looking at my Goals I'm doing pretty good, even with all the Road trips,
running errands, meetings, and STUFF!

My Humble Quilts SAL, is calling me today.
I need to play Catch-up!
And my last 2 Pat Sloan "My Secret Garden" blocks are still waiting to be sewn.

My Bus to the Spokane show way too much FUN.
The Show was SEW Great too!
Here are a few of my Favorites.
Just for those of you who read my Wednesday posts...lol
These aren't my quilts so I'm not labeling them one by one.
Loved seeing the Quiltville Quilts!
I missed one of the Grand Illusions that was by the front door.

Grand Illusion and Smith Mountain Morning
I had to check HERE to make sure I was calling it by the right name.

2 of the 2015 Mystery Allietare
One had 'ant's on it.  Fun black on white Neutral!

A few that made me stop and say AWE...
The bottom says "You know and I know and that's what matters"

This was called Day & Night

Just for my Son and friends who like PIGS and BACON.

There are many more, but I have to get out the door soon and try to get home to sew later today.
The Driveway is all Poured!!! Yea for the little things that make me smile.

No markings per the Hubby's directions and the fast setting cement.
