Friday, The Lucky Day, if you're going to a Quilt Show-

The Granddaughters Quilts are hung and Looking awesome.
I chose to Volunteer this year.
Wish I could have
Entered my Challenge quilt.
I tried, but didn't get it finished in time.
I found this Row by Row License Plate.
It expresses how  I 'Celebrate'.
Any Day spent Quilting is a good day!
I couldn't quilt it on Betsy so I tried some
FMQ on my Bernina with it's BSR.

Today, I Celebrate at the Quilt Show!

Friday- Quilt Show Day

Krazy Horse Quilters Show is Today!
I  entered my Good Fortune, and the
3 Granddaughters quilts.

I mailed out 2 secret projects,
BEFORE the Deadline!
My Humble Quilts Doll Quilt Swap.
Such tiny Binding!
It told me to Hand Quilt it.
That took a day away from sending it out.
My Spring Quilt Market Quilt is on its way to Minnesota, then to Kansas City.
I forgot to get a Beauty shot :(
Wishing I had time to go and see it in the Benartex booth.
May calendar is Full up!!!
I have a wedding quilt to make.
I'm missing the Guild Quilt Retreat
 This was 2015.

I had to at least look at the April UFO.
49 blocks and 3 half blocks.
This is using the novelty 1930's fabrics.
Gotta figure out the sashing.
It goes on Point so it will look very different.
2 days in April left to sew next week.
The rest of the weekend will be
Quilt Show travel related.

Friday fun

 It's a Friday!

I haven't shown this Stars Quilt on the Blog for a while.

These are the Civil War Stars I started a few years ago.

I played with it on EQ8 when I visited in October.
The trees will be the main border.
I have a few to make before we go in April.

Tomorrow is #4 Son's 35th Birthday.
He is the one on the left.

His Brother is turning 40 this year.
I love  TBT Thursdays.

It's Friday - No Finish yet!!

I took a bit of TV time to stitch my
Splendid Sampler Block 3
The clamshells weren't as easy as they look.
I tried EPP  (English Paper Piecing) them.
I  used Aurifil 50 wt doubled and quadruple strands for the flowers.

Block 4 showed up Thursday.
I took the easiest way for it.
I had some pre-fused fabric just waiting to be cut up smaller.

A perfect balanced Pink Elephant!

I had dark thread on the machine from stitching around the fusible on my Row by Row Blocks and Rows.
Practicing the machine Blanket stitches around those curves, fail!
Back to it today.
I still have a chance to be one of the 1st in Washington State to turn in my Quilt.

Our youngest Son is 33 today!
He has been too far away for me,
 for too many years.
I miss seeing him and getting a hug!

Free Friday

I'm calling this day
'FREE FRIDAY'
I am home alone, my car is with the
 DH/dear hubby.

I got a few Rows for the 2018
"Sew Musical" RxR quilt.
I started at Walla Walla Sew N Vac.
They open earlier than the other shops.
They have kits from the past years.
Fun to see them all together.
They have a Jr Row kitted up, too.

Next was STASH
I love their row!!

Then I went out to Thread and Bolts.
Lynn & Mary Ellen in the NEW shirts!
The 9th Row is on the left above them.
There is 2 kits ready.
A 3-D and the regular flat version.
She will even cut out your birds and notes.
Take your fused fabric out to use her
ACCUQUILT cutter.
Lynn and her crew (not all pictured)
have been really busy!!
2 versions of her
"Wind Beneath My Wings" Row.
And last but not least...
They have 6 Jr Rows all kitted-up.
Isn't this quilt cute?!!
Shameless plug here...
You can buy all 6 for $35.
Each kit is regularly $6.95.
So, it's like getting 1 almost FREE!

Lastly, I went to Alpine Cottage Quilting.
This cute Row is all pieced!!
The notes are of a song about Walla Walla.
I haven’t figured out which one yet.
Which ROW will I sew first?

Grandma's Sewing Room wasn't open at noon, so I will have to get that Row later.
I had a few other Rows collected for me.
A little less driving for me the 1st day.
Thanks to my family and friends.
I will stitch, today and maybe go on a Roadtrip tomorrow or Monday.
Happy 2nd Day of Summer!

Friday - Oh the Deadlines...what a Dilemma

I skipped my WOW- Wednesday posting.
I am trying to get things done, I can't show them all just yet.
It makes Blogging hard...

I couldn't share my #finallyfinished quilt that I really wanted to.
It's not finished!

But this IS!!
And I can show it.
Don't look too close, there's a reason "Betsy" has a Computer on her.

I have my Tri-Cities Quilt Show Challenge Quilt that I've been waffling back and forth on finishing.
I really want to get it turned in.
My dilemma is TOMORROW is the DEADLINE...
and I really don't want to drive back to Tri-Cities again. (insert sad face)
It could get finished if I just go and be Brave again today to FMQ it.
That's what I put down for the Registration, darn it.
Quilting smaller Quilts is hard on "BETSY"
They do the Judging at our next Guild Mtg March 19th.
What to Do???? What to Do???

Our 2 Sons by Love have Birthdays in March.
Jes since 2006 and Andy since 2001
They happen within 2 days every year in March.
Here are the Collages I posted for them.

Image may contain: 8 people, including Jestin Goodson and Janessa Goodson, people smiling, outdoor

Birthday Cards and a Gift Cards make gift giving EASY.  Gotta take Andys' to him still.

I stayed up late watching the "MIDNIGHT QUILT SHOW" videos
HERE  is the Link for the FMQ Challenge.
Warning:  they are addictive...

Finally Friday - Distractions

Who knew how many things would Distract me from my Row by Row.
I had high hopes of finishing in record time this year.
It's Friday, and I haven't finished anymore Rows than what I showed on Monday.
I did spend a day working on my Embroider machine for one Row.
It will be like my Label with the names of where the Rows in my Quilt came from.
Ephrata's Row Pattern is Perfect for that.
Don't you think???

Thursday a SURPRISE envelope showed up in my Mailbox!
My sweet Wyoming Daughter by Love sent me 2 rows to add to my Quilt.
1 is from Idaho Falls, the other from Star Valley (Thayne)
I did cut out a few strips to make the Pink Flamin-GO!!

 As for Distractions
The Sweets were playing all week in Town.
Here we are ready for the 3rd evening game of the week.
2 Local young girls sang the National Anthem, glad we were there for that.
It was Throwback Thursday Night.
The Team wore their Brown Uniforms from when Walla Walla "Padres" Team played here.
And my DH didn't make me leave before the End!
Victory for the Sweets over their Rivals the Yakima Pippins.
6-3
By choosing to sit in a different area , we were the Lucky Winners of a Sweet Basil PIZZA.
That was sure un-expected and fun.
Extra leftovers for DH's Lunch.

More things UN-Expected...
We'll be going to SISTER's on Saturday for the Outdoor Quilt Show.
I can collect a few more Rows on the Way, lol
DH really does Spoil me!
Hoping to Meet up with some Blogging Friends.
Pictures next week from the Sister's Show...

Friday -fun times with Grandpa & Grandma

It's been a Fun week to have our #1 Grand-daughter here.
Grandpa said she was a great Helper.
Girl's can go to Day Camp TOO!

We went out on Wednesday to get the JR Row by Row for her to make.
This Jr Row is called Friendship Bracelets.
We bought a Kit for this row and got the pattern for the Rain Boots.
The Stash of Ric Rac and Ribbons came in handy.
We went to use my Free Del Taco Coupons and to Sour Grape for Frozen Yogurt.
She finished her row in one night, just like I thought she might.

I went to pick up rows in Walla Walla, College Place & Athena while Cub Day Camp was happening.

Here are the Row's we collected so far...

I will try and have a few Rows done for the Design Wall Monday post.

Friday- Circa 2016

It's about time I got more blocks made for my Circa 2016.
The hour glass blocks aren't hard to make, just had to get them cut out!

Last week was Rail Fence Blocks.

The week before Bow Tie Blocks.

When DH asks me to find him more shirts I don't hesitate long.
It's fun to see how many I can get half off with the Color of the week.
The bottom one is PURPLE!
I see quilt blocks in these shirts I got for the DH.
How long before they wear out enough for him to request more?? lol
