Happy Fri-Yay!

It was a different way to celebrate Thanksgiving.
We watched for the arrival of our 2 Far-away sons.
I joked and said the driving one might get here before the flying one.
That's how it was!
We went to the China Cafe in the Plaza.
My Daughter-by Love took the photo.

On the way back to the house we stopped by
Pioneer Park.

The crooked branch was the spot for my Photo op!
I haven't seen my Son who flew yet!
They took a detour on the way from the
Airport in Pasco.

I still can make a Lemon Meringue pie.

These jumped in my basket at the Grocery store.
Hadn't seen them since 2018.
Now they're frosted!

Go HERE for part 2 of the Quiltville Mystery.

Happy Fri-Yay!

WOW-Wednesday

It was a Day for moving a few of my Quilts
 out of the Fabric Room.
I couldn't access them where they were.

I found a bunch of Totes with past
Quiltville Mysteries fabrics and pieces in them.
Now they are out where I can sort and do something else with the fabrics.

I wanted to put my Sylvia's Bridal Sampler on my bed for the rest of Novem-burrrr.

The lights are up in the Pioneer Park Gazebo

The entrance to the Park is all lit-up

These are part of my Colors for
Old Town Mystery
Purple for Red and Pink instead of the Coral.
I love mixing in the Tula Fabrics.

This is ready to add the Setting Squares.
Will it get done today?
I sure hope so!
We went to get another Turkey since our
numbers have grown to 38 for
Thanksgiving on Saturday.
We did get to the Temple before shopping for Food.
At home, I made Pumpkin Pie.
My reward for what's to come!
Lots of excitement for all the Hugs!
It's been way too long since I have had all of my Family HOME for Thanksgiving.
We don't have enough room to host it here.
So we're going to my DD#1 Church building
on Saturday
The Traveling family want to go out to eat
on Thanksgiving day.

Hope my Blogging friends all have what they
need for a Happy Holiday!
I'll just be Saving and printing the 2nd part of
Old Town Mystery.

Monday Musing- 48 years ago

This is now

This was then
48 years of Temple attending with Paul.
Since we came out of the Temple in a Blizzard...
 This is our only photo.
No wedding Dress photos on our wedding day.
Thanks to my Momma!
It was before Digital cameras.
Before we knew what a selfie was!
That's what we get for getting married on
Thanksgiving!

It took us 40 years to get passports and return
 to this Temple in Canada.

It was a windy day with no one to take
 our picture together.
This bench wasn't there when we were
there so many years ago.

Photo from the Reception with our parents.
We missed them all so much!

Happy, Heavenly Anniversary to my Parents.

And my Paternal Grandparents.

I have a bunch of Tula Prints in this color as well.
Neutrals aren't a problem either.

Flying Geese for the Part One will be fun!

Monday -indigo Way Half blocks

The Half Blocks use a lot of the 3 color
HST and 2 color Tri Recs
My Center blocks are not the right size but since part is cut off at the end they'll do.

My Thanksgiving Cactus is a Bloom!!

The Great American Christmas channel had a
Quilt sighting or two.

The show was called
"The Cozy Christmas Quilt"

I'm needing more stitching time and less
Christmas Movie watching time.
My DVR is getting full.

Happy Monday!

It's a Fri-Yay again- not a flimsy

From my Wednesday stitching...
It grew bigger!
It took some switching of blocks to get this
 almost right.
There could be more moving of blocks.

The bottom rows with border units .
I need to make a bunch of 1/2 Blocks and
 two more A blocks.

These Quilts were also at White Bluffs
 when I was there.

They are FOR SALE!

My sweet Sister in AZ sent me this shooting star.
It small and very cute!
Sitting on a new to me doily.
My 1st Nativity is on display.
No, it isn't too soon!
I want my kids to see them if they come to the house this Thanksgiving.

Wow Wednesday- Open Sew

Today was open Sew at Powered by Fabric.
There were Quilters stitching strips together all day.
Making Eddie's Lone Star.
The paving of the exit driveway was finished
last week.
We didn't get to have any Sew days.

I took my Quiltville Mystery "Indigo Way"
I have one less week to work on it.
I made these 7 blocks
One is Not like the others...
More to 'frog'

Last night at Quilt Guild I turned in 2 Lotto Blocks.
A gift and a tree.
These were not taken home by me.
I'm OK with that.

I was elected to be next year's Vice President
So in 2026 I'll be the President.
There were 3 nominees.

Today a lady i met at Eddie's broughtme this
old lace in a bag.
There are collars and a couple of dollies.
Love the old lace.
Wow!
I found some that might have come
 off of a pillowcase.
Hope you had a Wow in your Wednesday!

I had an hour or two that wasn't committed
on Saturday.
We had Baptisms at 9am and DH was subbing
for his brother until noon.
I had a plan!
White Bluffs Quilt Museum had Blue and White Quilts on display.
I wanted to see them in person!

This one is from the Museum archive of Quilts!
From 1800's

From an Eddie Walker class at
 White Bluffs Quilt Museum.

My Thanksgiving Cactus is Blooming right on time!
Have a Wonderful week!

Friday Finds...

I went to the Contry Store...
I saw this Barrister Bookcase last week.
It was still there.
Opps, didn't quite fit!
Shelly to the Rescue.

My Bookcase that held all of my
Daughters of Utah Pioneers Books had a shelf fail.
This one will do!!
Small Quilts, Wall hangings and table runners fit.

I also found.
2 cups, a tray and the bowl with the X Lid.
I needed the lid!

And this was Purple, had to get it!

So thankful for friends!
