Finally Friyay!

It's FriYay!
This Quilt is almost too big for my Q20 frame.
It's about time I got it quilted.

I started it last year at our Quilt Guild Workshop with Charisma Horton.
I combined two of her patterns.
So it's called "Hearth and Whisper"
The good news is it will be done before the 1st wedding Anniversary of our oldest Granddaughter .
And before their baby comes.
It will be a big Ta Da at the Tri-Cities Quilters Show.

I hope it gets up on the Big frames.
I am excited to start the Quilting.
That big white space is calling, lol
I will do a swirly Panto all over though.
I have just one more to finish by Show time.

Today is the day we get to Welcome home
Our 2nd Granddaughter!
She has served for 18 Months in California
as a Sister Missionary.
So...this Quilt awaits one more day.

Happy Friyay!

Chocolate Chip this time.
Yummy with bacon and OJ

This is all I can show for now.
It's my RWB  Challenge for Tri-City Quilters Show.
I kind of love it, not my traditional kind of project.
Just have to wait for Guild day to see all
 the Challenge Quilts.

I rolled another Double!

It's a Survivor Night!!
Happy last Wednesday in February.

Monday Again

I went to sew at our WWVQG Sew-in on Saturday.
Made a bunch of hsts for my Ocean Waves.
I need a lot more!
Variety is key in making the blocks.

It's this big, need it to grow some more.
This is a long term project.
It was fun to stitch with friends.

I got a couple of the fun prizes at the end of my
 sewing time.

I embroidered Lynn's name on Blue Shadowplay.
Now she can make another nametag for Guild.
Fun to play with the different fonts.

Today, it's rainy, a good day to stay inside and Quilt.
I need to turn in my Challenge Quilt next week.

It's FriYay

I was up watching the Ladies Figure Skating
I finished 2 of 3 panels for the Spring Trio.
Sew cute and time consuming.
Over and hour on each one.
Changing threads and cutting between stitches.

I have a Flimsy to share!
"Let Freedon Ring "
Time to add the "Frosting"
What color should I use?

Who ordered this??
It's melted already but a pain to sweep off.
Dr appointment for DH!

On the Grass, not too much.

Hope you have a good weekend.
Watching the Figure Skating Gala Saturday 😍
Guild Sew-in too!

Wow-Wednesday

I am finally all caught up with the
RBD Block Challenge 2026

The Olympics are boring today.
Amber Glenn fell and ended her shot at a medal.

I got up early and had time to cut out a block.
I stitched a few more arcs for my RWB
Double Wedding Ring

Ribbon Star by Fran Gulick

Ombre' Dash by Beverly McCullough

Square Knot by Jennifer Long

It's a catch-up Sew day at Powered by Fabric to finish our Double Wedding Ring quilts.
I am glad I found more stips to cut for the Arcs.
Getting it closer to Flimsy is my goal today.

Happy President's Day

Happy President's Day to me!
I am President of DUP Camp/Company and
Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild.
The crown weighs heavy sometimes.
This Tiara was returned to me, Abby broke hers.
I gave her a new one.

DH had a Big Birthday!
He didn't want a Fuss.
Joe and Kori had a DQ Ice Cream cake delivered.
Jackson and Jacob helped us Celebrate with
 Janessa and Dan.

Janessa created a Workshop Flier for Quilt Guild.
She is talented 😍
I'm grateful for her help.

Wishing you a good week.

Wow-Wednesday

One more day to Register Quilts at tcquilters.org
I panicked when I couldn't find 2 of the Quilts I already registered.
Whew, I finally found them
In that Safe place, lol

The friends on My Girlfriends Quilt Shoppe wanted to see my Cutting Station.
Block 5 of the RBD Block Challenge is cut out.
Using my Girlfriends rotary cutter and favorite ruler- the Tucker Trimmer!
I chose shades of Purples from a fat Quarter pack.
I also have my Challenge Quilt on the Q20.
So RWB  fabrics are there too.
No sneak peeks until Guild in March.

I had a great meeting at our Quilt Guild.
Jodi Haskell from Tri-Cities came to talk to us
about Batting.
Very informative!
Two of our Board weren't there, so I collected the dues paid, nametag and Raffle Quilt money.
It was election Day in Walla Walla.
Our Treasurer is the new county Auditor.
We Vote by mail.
I dropped mine in the box on my way to Guild

The Guild chose "Fresh Cut" for our 2nd class.

Workshop with Amber Johnson from
GiGi’s Thimble.
March 24 and 25th 9am-4pm
Place to be determined.

Monday again

 I missed posting on Friday.
I was busy playing on my Embroidery Machine.
I found this and wanted to see how it stitched out.

RBD Block 3 by Cherry Guidry
"Starry Bloom"
I need to make block 4, block 5 comes
 out on Tuesday.

Saturday was a Quilts of Valor Sew-in
at Powered by Fabric.
We had a full house and an easy block to sew.
The blocks were pre-cut and kitted in baggies.
I made 16 blocks.

We filled both big Design Walls and had a stack
 on the tray table.

I keep rolling the Dice, playing with
 MGQS, the Club.
#sewonaroll
It's a challenge to stitch every day.
I don't get too do that, but rolling the dice is fun.
I made a list of things to work on by April.

America wins Gold
Team Figure Skating
The Olympics are keeping me up late.
And a Downhill skier won Gold too.
She's from Jackson Hole Wyoming.

Happy Valentines Week.

Wow-Wednesday

Tacking down the Binding.
Curves are easy with a Bias cut Stripe binding.
Love my Wonder clips.
I had to resew a few inside curves.
Almost ready for the Quilt Show in March.

Hubby loves his recliner.
Seems like DeJaVu from last year.
Sleeping better, but gets tired after his walk and Physical therapy.

Made a place to keep Raffle Quilt tickets safe.
Just had to put oatmeal in a Tupperware.
Guild Logo on the carton.

Watcha working on?

Monday- 2nd Month, 2nd day

 It's a day of 2's
2/2/26
Last week I bound 2 quilts.
One I quilted as well.

This week I have one from 2012.
It took another day to get it ready for the Quilting.
Here's the rest of the story...
I took it to Roma's apt Christmas Eve.
I put it in a Pillowcase.
Left it in the car, that night it rained, the back door on the Malibu wasn't closed all the way.
I took it out and saw that some of the fabrics had bled onto the background.
It looked like the Blue Polkadot from the Pillowcase bled out to me. I didn't pre-wash the fabric on the cuff. I brought it home to dry.
I had to mark it with safety pins, which blocks needed re-placed. I re-sewed a few.
Took some off one side to make it not so wide.
I left some in and will try washing with a
Color Catcher or two.
I hope some comes out.
Now it just needs Binding.
But I need to cut off the excess and find a
fabric for it.
I was sew excited to get it to this point
Had to take a picture!

I quilted it on Saturday evening.
The good Cotton with Scrim Batting.
Cream on top, Blue in the Bobbin.
Never did that before.
The Q20 did it so beautifully!
The Quilting Pattern is called "Beauty"
It's 88" x 88"

Here's the picture of my Sister in 2012
When I took her to Sister's Qutdoor Quilt Show.

Did I make it right or what?
It's not hand quilted, but finally Done!
Next up a certain Wedding Quilt!
