Wow-Wednesday

I am late posting today.
I needed to go get my SHOTS!
To leave the country or go on our Mission,
I need to be immune.
I had my sister take this picture for proof!
See that big scar, that is from my childhood immunization for Smallpox,  the nurse said.

I finished my Merry Mini Quilt.
It was a fun finish for Christmas in July,  eh?
There is less than a week before forms for the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days.
Maybe I  will enter my Christmas Mini.
Here's the Tree block, designed by Pat Sloan.
Sew cute, thanks to my Alphabitties!

Since yesterday was
"National Cheesecake Day"
Believe it or not, this is my 1st homemade from scratch, baked Cheesecake.
My house still smells yummy.
Waiting an hour for it to cook was hard.

Design Wall Monday- Merry Mini Quilt

I have been watching my Instagram Feed.
For a few weeks the Blocks for the
Merry Mini Quilt have been shared.
It only has 4 blocks!
I found this Fat Quarter Shop bundle from the 2018 Jolly Box I ordered.
It looked like similar colors at first.
I needed to add a few other solid fabrics.

Just 1 more to go.
It's still July!
Who could resist making something
Sew cute?
The Free pattern is over at Fat Quarter Shop  click  HERE
Pat Sloan did Block 4
I'll make it this week.
4 fun designers and the Finishing instructions will be given TOMORROW!

Friday-Feeling Stitchy.

I lost a day or 2 this week!
Gotta get Stitching...
The Quilter's  Planner BOM is caught up.
I could sew the Center section together.
Hoping next month to get more done.
Love this polka dot background fabric.
Had to order another bolt!
I thought I was running out.
Gonna be a Hot one today!
Basement is the best place to be.
Happy Friday.

My efforts turn back to the Granddaughters quilts and the Quilting.
Gotta get them quilted and entered in the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days.
I hope to make the deadline of August 5th.
Backings for 2 have been purchased.
Grandma didn't have the colors in her Stash.
Cute stuff from Fabric 108.

My Quilter's Planner BOM
is almost caught up.
Love my #trueblue & #rubyred Olfa cutters.
1 more June block to make.
The center is sewn in strips.

Wow-Wednesday

Today was supposed to be my class
Woven Ornaments
It's been 3 months since this quilt came home so I could teach the class.
No fabric means no class.
It's on back order still.

I posted the side by side picture of GD#2.
Have to share it here also.
I love my EQ8
Olivia designed her quilt jn June.
It's easier for the young to play with.
They are raised on Computers.
We forgot to set the size of her blocks.
She cut fabrics for a lot more.
So we enlarged the unit size and readjusted.
Less blocks to make a bigger quilt.
The block name is "Hovering Hawks".
Changing the coloring and conquering the Mitered borders was my challenge for her.
She did great!

Tri-city Quilt Guild was fun!!
I didn't stay for the Applique Demos.
These 2 Friends,  in the top picture, bought the same Stack of fabrics and made quilts for each other. They revealed them in front of everyone on Monday. Sew Fun!!
I alway love seeing the Show n Share.
Amazing work from my fellow Quilters.
Esther Aliu's pattern with added border in Red and white.
And Labyrinth Walk in Aqua.
Wow!!
I was late so had to take my pictures from the back.
I shared 2 of the 3 Granddaughters Quilts.
GD#3 is still working on hers.

My Row by Row is going on 'Betsy' today.
Hopefully,  the big Reveal will be on Friday.
Have a WOW Wednesday!

Design Wall Monday - Empty space

Today is Quilt Guild in Tri-Cities.
My  Design Wall was Empty!
The girls are gone and I can get back to filling in the blank spaces on my
 2019 Row by Row.

I liked adding the names of the Shops
featured in my Quilt last Year.
I got an Error message on my Embroidery Machine this morning
so, my Row by Row is on hold.
I can get it checked out while I am in
Tri-Cities today.
I will check on Backings for the girls quilts while I am there, too.

2019 Quiltin Grandma Camp

Quiltin Grandma Camp is almost over!
The girls have learned the fun of
Half Square Triangles using the
Essential Triangle Tool
by Quiltville's Bonnie Hunter
Elizabeth didn't get her design complete.
So, she stayed an extra night to finish.

The "Olydas" got a lot of help from Grandma
on their Quilts, especially the mitered borders on Olivia's.
All along between the Stitching...
We played, swam, ate, laughed, teased and enjoyed one another.

Before heading home we went to take
pictures at the Pioneer Park Gazebo.
These 2 cousins are so cute together.
So much gets done in the short, few days.
It is amazing!
Next will be the Quilting.

Wow-Wednesday with Quiltin Grandma Camp

It's the year for showing the Girl's
How to make Hsts with Quiltville's
Essential Triangle Tool.
We practiced on the same fabric.
Hsts can be turned so many different ways to make Fun Blocks.
Even if the Pinwheel spins the wrong way,
It is still a Pinwheel!

Olivia needed to get her Birthday gifts early.

I surprised the girls with Tiaras!
I did some last minute stitching
to finish Elizabeth's shirt.
Grandpa came home in time to take our Picture before Quilt Guild.
We had fun, ate yummy food, played Bingo,
& showed off our shirts.

Today, we make more Hsts!
Different sizes, & colors are in progress.
Come back Friday to see some reveals.

Design Wall Monday - Back to the Zone

After a few Fun days I'm back!
Back to stitching & Blogging.
The Row by Row Quilt only
needed 2 more Rows, yea!!
This morning I worked on these.
I had to go find fabric  for the Tablecloth.
Found the diagonal check at Stash.
I just stitched the Row from Janean's.
No Zig Zagging this time.
My Rows aren't all from Washington,
But I am SEW glad to be done.
Grandma is coming done from all the excitement of the weekend.
The Wyoming family attracks more Company at Grandma's & Grandpa's house.
Gotta show Grandma your Ice-C!
Lots of Cousin time!
These two were born 5 days apart.
They traded phone numbers this morning
so they can Text each other.
I hope to get the top done so I can quilt it while the girls sew this week and turn it in.

One Monthly Goal -July 2019

As it has been each July since Row by Row went National...
My Row by Row is my July Goal!
I recieved 3 patterns in my mailbox Monday from my Utah Bloggy Friend, Janet O!!
I couldn't finish without them.
I have an extra day til the family arrives.
I have the fusible parts traced on.
Ready to get these rows made.
These Rows REALLY fit the Theme.
This is all the Rows/ Blocks
The Ice Cream cones Row was made
With the instructions given.
It didn't fit the measurements given.
42" is ok, I can use a long Row.
I loved using fun FOOD fabrics for it.
What flavors do you see??
I have turned in my Row by Row by July 31st most years so this will definitely be a finish in plenty of time.

Design Wall Monday

The UFO for June didn't have a chance.
I found the Book a couple days before the end of the month.
Too late!!
Better luck in July, lol
Judy L chose #12
Perfect for sharing with the 3 Granddaughters during Grandma Quilt Camp. It's next week,  EEEK!

I decided not to take the girls to
Sisters Quilt Show.
I don't have a substitute for the Temple.
Lots of others with Family plans need subs.

#weekenderquilts has asked for our
Midyear Round up.
6 months 6+ finishes
My Humble Quilts mini Swap isn't shown.
I am happy to show a couple UFOS that were waiting a long while.

The Row By Row is growing.
Very slowly.
I've always had it ready to turn in in July.
So, I am right in target.
A good Block/ Row to work on this week.
I thought it would be finished.
Oh well, watching the Movie distracted me.
My Sister and I were among the 7 in the 1st showing on Friday.
Hubby and I went again Saturday afternoon  with DD#1 (no pic)

Counting days til Wyoming family comes!!
Clearing  space, menu planning and
 grandkid proofing.
