We made it through 2022!!!!

LOL, I made another rhyme!
I didn't have as many Finishes in 2022 as I would have liked.
Hope I can get into the Quilt Zone a little more often to Quilt in 2023!
January was for lots of SQUIRRELS & NEW Projects.

In February I quilted this scrappy 4-Patch for a Donation Quilt at Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild.

These two were Quilted on my Embroidery Machine with CBT (Clear Blue Tiles)

Antique Lace Mini made with a baggies full of bonus hsts for the Quilt show Black and White with one Color Challenge. Of Course my added color was Purple.
Spring Wall Decor from My Girlfriends Quilt Shoppe.

I quilted this Train Quilt for Sister Alder to give President Alder.

March Deadlines meant getting the Granddaughters Quilts ready for the Quilt Show.
Elizabeth's 5th Grandma Quilt "Gate of Roses" and Abby's 1st "Fenced in Flowers"

The 2022 Grandma Camp Quilts aren't flimsies yet.
They did make a Christmas Quilt that I need to Quilt and Bind.
It didn't get done before Sister Ransom left on her Mission.

April I got the Quilt finished for the Bennetts

She hung it above the Desk in the Mormon Trail Center.
Now if I could just get mine done...

September was Walla Walla Quilt Festival time again!

December- Done and Delivered!

Every year I try to finish all my gifts by Christmas Eve.
I got a bit of extra time this year.
Thank goodness.
Our family Homemade Christmas is DONE and Delivered.
I have saved all the pictures in a separate file so I can find them.
How Many Mug Rugs did I make...?
I made this one a couple of times for the Book lovers in the family.
It might be a favorite.

I made these on one of my Stay Home/Jammie Days.
Too many late nights making my gifts this year.
I am so, so Tired...
Grateful for whoever told us about the Tray at the Dollar Tree that these fit in.
I had to buy more CD's for variety.
I used a lot of scraps and had a lot of fun choosing fabric combos.

I love to stitch, and give homemade gifts.

YEP, This is ME!
How many times have I told my Husband to just let me stay home and SEW??
The payoff is seeing videos and pictures of my children and 2 great Grandchildren!
They are too young to really know what the Mug Rug is for, they just wanted to taste it.
I had to explain... NOW the parents know.
The teenagers put their hands in the pocket of the back, and their Phone fits there too.

And these multiplied by 6... are the reason I NEEDED that Big Hoop.
Each one is different with Names and Leaves.
I started them in September.
So glad that I got the Family Tree Bella Box!!!

I made 2 of these Pillows.
Paul saw the one I made to send to Jeff and Chey and asked if he could have one.
He got his early to use in the car to prop up his elbow.

Time to post and get going on my day.
More pictures later.

Closeup of a few Photes
Us in 1999
So much has happened since then!!

We gathered in Richland on Monday evening.
The T-Shirts were a joke on us,
Joe said he designed mine.  "Sewciopath, Quiltin' Grandma", it says.
Janessa thought dad's was funny. "You can't scare me, I have 2 Daughters"

I didn't take many pictures I was busy unwrapping gifts.
Us with Joe and Kori's Daughter, Katie.

We were spoiled.
The girls think we need more Plastic Storage Containers - TWO Boxes!

I got two new Nativities, The Kate Lee one was requested, I like Joseph holding the babe.
(I really asked for the big all-in-one)
Picture #2 -Close up of the Countdown to Christmas from Kori and Joe.

I have a couple of families who haven't received their gifts... Icy Roads kept them home.

December Day 24 - Merry, Merry Christmas Eve

Paul has been a good Neighbor to blow away Snow in the walkways and driveways of our neighbors.
Our Neighbor 2 doors down on the East side is the Granddaughter of our older Neighbor who died.
They left these yummy goodies on our porch.
All wrapped up

Since I hadn't made any goodies it ended up a rush job to put a few plates together to reciprocate.
The Winco's in Tri-Cities haven't had any of my Chocolate Meltys that I use for my Candy making.
I had a couple bags of leftover Melty's from Easter

I did our favorites and tried the Pretzel with Rolos. Chocolate candy Oranges dipped in Chocolate and Peppermint, Rocky Road with MarshmallowsandCashews & Ritz w/peanut butter.
I had a tin of the of store bought Danish cookies.
No time for cookie making.
I did make my Candy Cane Bread for Christmas Morning,
and 3 Cinnamon roll loaves to share.

December Day 24
Ceramic Nativity made in Burbank at a Super Saturday with our Relief Society.
Thus is one that stays out all year!
Paul's Sister; Anne made the runner under it.

Our Jenny Advent Box gifts was a book of Quilt labels to iron on.
Paul got a Liz Lemon calendar!

I was up late so I got to sleep in...
Today, is the Anniversary of my mommas passing.
I woke briefly at that hour, but went back to sleep.
I miss her still, but try to keep busy so I don't cry all month.

Once I was up it was pedal to the metal stitching in my Jammies.
A few gifts were wrapped in preparation for Monday's gathering.
I loved seeing the gifts I gave being used by our Wyoming Family
who are celebrating with the Bosen side this year.

It will be a quiet day if Church gets Canceled.
Christmas Dinner with my Sister and her husband.
We say it's a Family Reunion when we get together.

I've been singing this all month...
Paul is outside using the neighbors Snow Blower.
Not quite as big as the ones in Omaha...

Happy Birthday to Anna!
I made her Knitted Blessing dress
so her Quilt was just a flimsy when we went to Wyoming to meet her.

I was going to just print the Clue today...BUT how could I resist???

December Day 22 - More Freezing Temps - BURRRR

The temp was dangerously cold today.
we braved it to drive to the Temple.
After our Shift there was a dinner planned, I didn't want to miss that.
I made a Trifle Cake, not in a bowl but in my big pan.
It was so yummy!
There were 5 soups and a few relish trays, Salads, Brownies and cookies that were shared.

My Nativity in the Kitchen Window was shared on my Social Media today.
Bought this one at Gottschalk when we moved to Walla Walla 2004.
Chubby folk art figures!

We opened our Jenny Advent Box gifts just now.
A new Flannel Shirt for Paul, very timely for the cold weather.
Acrylic boards, shaped like a spool, with labels and clips from Jenny.

Stay Warm, I sure am going to be staying Home!

December Day 21- Winter has Come

We are in a deep freeze!
Sub Zero temps and warm clothes needed.
Windchill in the negative -15 to -20 forecasted.
Day 21
Nativity Skirt under my Tree
I made this one from a panel I bought on a Shop Hop, for when I use all my Nativity Ornaments
on the Tree. I love the rich colors in the fabrics.

Jenny Box today brought a fun Pattern for the Rainbow Charm Pack we received yesterday.
Paul got a new pair of slippers.
His old ones are worn out.
We opened them before we left this morning.

I still am enjoying the Advent Box.
Jenny was a bit late posting today's
 opening on YouTube.
Her aged father passed away. 😢

I red that one of my best friends dad's passed away yesterday as well, in my hometown.
So sad for their families to lose a loved one in holiday season. Happy, Heavenly Reunion!
Been there many years ago!

I went to a 2nd Bernina Embroidery Machine class at Janean's Bernina in Pasco.

We have done a Tea Towel in both of the classes.
I am learning so much that I didn't know.
The 700 is very different from my old Bernina.
Our local roads are still snow packed but the highways are good.

Hope the 1st day of Winter Solstice
was a good one for you!
4 sleeps until Christmas  🎄
