Friday - Thread and Bolts Row take 2

I helped Lynn make the original version of her Row by Row this year.
I have almost finished it for a second time.
The top part goes on the bottom.
A LOT of Fusible and cutting for it,
But so worth it!
I am tempted to add an Ice Cream cone...
I think Lady Liberty needs a torch.

There's 2 more after this one to make.
I'm watching for the mail to bring me my options.
Janean's Bernina row requires a download of Templates from the website.
(Kinda a Waste of paper, 9 files)
The Alpine Quilting one looks hard,
the puzzle of too many pieces.
I am dreading that one.

There has been a winner in Western Washington.  None Locally, yet.
I have time to finish after the 4th of July week.
During Grandma Camp.
Have a good weekend.
Today I am going to the movies.
My Sister and I have been waiting for
The Other Side of Heaven 2!

Honeybee Quilting-Benton City- Row of jars, bottle and goblet.
Mine is a fruity drink.
Watermelon, Potatoes, bugs and Apples

I have Thread and Bolts almost ready to fuse the parts on.
Lots of fusible in that one.
Then I have 2 more that shouldn't take long.

BIG THANKS to Janet O!!
She says she'll send me the one from Logan.
I loved their Row of Ice Cream Cones.

I asked for the Pig from Idaho Falls.
I get it when Wyoming family comes.
My quilt won't have 16 Row/Blocks this year.
Time to turn it in before the closest
LQS have Winners.
Idaho Falls already had a Quilt turned in.
Some quilters are FAST!!

Design Wall Monday- Row By Row 2019

There was a late start on my
 Row by Row collecting.
Appointments and a visit at my house.
Walla Walla and College Place Blocks/Rows
I bought a few kits, one was for the 9th Row.
The 9th row uses a NEW die from
ACCUQUILT GO.
I got it, since it fits the Go Baby Cutter.

After Paul returned from his week at Girl's Camp,  I decided to take the opportunity to go get the Blocks/Rows in Tri-Cities  and Benton City.
I only got the Janean's Bernina Kit.
The count for  now is 7 Blocks/Rows.
What Row will be the 8 one?
I have a couple of family and friends that might pick up Row/Block patterns for me.
I like to have choices.
Meanwhile I have this week to sew the
7 Rows/Blocks that I have.
Hopefully this week will have more
Quilty activity than last week.

Happy Monday!

Somebody needs to tell the weatherman.
It was chilly at the Sweets game last night.

I went to 3 games in a row.,
And I got to stay for the whole game!
What a game it was, hits, Homeruns and great catches.

That means I'm NOT ready for Summer guests, yet...lol

It's this Grandpa William Brown's Birthday.
This is how I remember him.
I still have this chair.
The picture tells lots of stories.of my childhood home.

A Prince with the same name was born in 1982 on this day

Wow-Wednesday- 2nd time Robin Ruth Class

We had a full class to make
Mariners Compass blocks.
Robin Ruth taught us with her special ruler and Revised Book!

I know,  I took her class before...
I wanted to learn again from her,
all the new tricks and tips.
I even got her APP to work on my phone.
It's awesome to see how the Compass block would look before cutting the strips.
I used White & Purple Fairy Frost.
I can hardly wait to make another one!
But 1st...
More appointments to get our Missionary paperwork done.

WOW - Wednesday

It's my Busy Week!
Last night was Quilt guild
 here in Walla Walla.
I spotted some fun quilts in the
Charity part of Show n Share.
Fun settings using Blocks from my time as
Block of the Month at Guild.
Our Guest speaker was Colleen Blacwood.
She's coming in August to teach a Workshop.
We get to 'test'a pattern for her.
Don't think that I can go!
It's on a Saturday, and My calendar is full.
I shared my recent UFO finish.
Before I went I had to take a Swirly picture.
I attatched the binding and label on it.
I'll be busy watching DD#1 children a few days and need something to stitch.

More Birthdays and Father's Day.
Last days of school happening.
Here's to a Great Summer!

Monday Distraction- weekend recap

Nothing 'Quilty' this morning.
This  Blog is my Journal...
Friday night we had an Americold dinner
With Paul's co-workers at the fanciest place!
A 7 course meal at the Marcus Whitman.
We didn't take pictures of us, but the food---
My goodness, such an experience.
Tableside chef making Sorbet with liquid Nitrogen was so interesting!
My favorite was the Wagyu Short rib and Cheesecake Dessert.
The stitching I did was for gifting.
We had a full- schedule, I had to finish gifts.
Newlyweds can always use more towels!
They did something unique for a guest book.
A Polaroid was taken of each guest/Couple.
Then it was taped into the Guest Book
With a message.
Here we are!
After the Reception up Mill Creek,
we went to another
Walla Walla Sweets Baseball game.
A late Saturday night game.
I talked Paul into staying to the end.
We got there in the 3rd inning.
They are in a winning streak!
6-0 with two Series sweeps.

I also embroidered towels for the
5 High School Graduates. (No pic)
We missed the HS Graduation,  but attended the Seminary Graduation to deliver them.
There was 90th Birthday celebration on Sunday, too.
No wonder I had to sleep in today.

I can always find something else to do on a
stay home day.
Gotta get ready for Grandma's Quilt Camp!

Then it's time for a
Christmas in July class.
Woven Ornaments was made for Quilt Market last fall.
I requested it to come hang at Walla Walla Sew, Vac & Spas.

Wow-Wednesday -May UFO Finish

It's a Wednesday,  a new month,
& I am tired!
Late posting this morning.
I have finished my May UFO!
I had fun taking it outside for pictures.
It was a little, sunny and there was a breeze.
6 years+ in the making.
More pictures on the newly mowed grass.
Just a few days late.
Still need to find my tote of Marti Mitchell's fabrics for the binding.

Last night was Sweets Opening day!
10th year of Walla Walla Baseball.
We had premium seats behind the backstop.
We had to leave early and
missed the Fireworks.
Had to get hubby home, he wakes up early.
Next time we'll be back in the bleachers.
I missed my view from the 'C' Section.
More Baseball in the coming weeks.
No Jury calls yet!
My calendar is full.

We watched our Goodson grandson pitch in his final Little League game.
Happy to be there for a few innings.
Happy Wednesday!

Design Wall/Floor Monday

While I waited for the backing to spin on the dryer a bit, I played with my
Quilter's Planner Blocks for the
2019 Sew Along.
I realised the March blocks weren't done after making the May blocks.

Now I'm all caught up.
The Pink is a little intense.
I looked at the layout for the Snowflake version and cut more background pieces to start assembling the center 3 sections.

Betsy is still loaded with the May UFO.
4 passes to go,  half done on that pass.
I found thread where it shouldn't be and re-started it a few times to line up to
 finish the pass.
I did all that I could for now.
Josh said to check the encoders and belts.
I have Jury Duty this month so I'll
wait to see if I am called in today.
UFO for June is #9
Lori Holt's Very Vintage Christmas.
I have one block made, lol.

My DD#1 took a picture of her DD#1 and the
Star Wars Quilt.
Happy Monday!
