Friday- Shop Hopping Roadtrip

The DH (Dear Hubby) made some
'brownie points '.
He got off work an hour early so we could go get a couple more Star Block Patterns from the Shop Hop!
I picked up my 2 blocks in Walla Walla.
I love seeing the different layouts.
Here's the STASH version.
Kathy set theirs on point
    and added extra blocks.
My mind is buzzing.
Lots of ideas for my version.

I didn't remember that Discount Vac & Sew moved the Quilt Shop next door.
Ginny included her extra Block. Yea!
Fun to see them setting up a new Longarm.
Oh, and there was Chocolate!!
Janean's Block is fun too.
3 more to get up North & 4 in Oregon.
The Shop Hop goes through next week.
 Brandy, from "Blue Spool Studios"
& I will go over the foothills together.
Shop Hopping is fun with a Quilty Friend!!

Design Wall /Floor Monday - Quilt Yoga

It's the last week of September...
Quilt Yoga time on my Floor
with my September OMG!
A lost enough blocks to finish 3
Sides of the Border.
I did the un-stitching and fixed the corners on the blocks at the Sew-in.
By my count, I need 10 more blocks.
7 Blue & 3 Tan
Then I can decide on the Corners.
 What about a curve???
It will need some extra strips to fit.

The secret project is going in the Mail today, Hurray!!
I  practiced the binding on a scrap, before actually on the quilt.
I did it, but it's not my preferred method.

Friday, Friday time to finish Secret Stitching

Binding is my favorite part, BUT
using this tool is a big challenge.
Have you ever used
Jackie Robinson's Binding tool?
This secret sewing project has been met with delays and a bit of search and find.
Enough!! Time to knuckle down and get it in the mail!!
If you're going to Houston for
International Quilt Market
You will find my Quilt with Jackie Robinson's New Christmas fabric.
It will be in the BENARTEX booth!!
I can't believe I'm going to have a Quilt in Houston!
Wishing I could go...
Well, I  forgot to share the Goodies I got at the Quilt Festival last weekend.
I was good.
It was great to get a picture with the Featured Quilter; Teresa Silva
She does fantastic Free-Motion on quilts.
Cool to hear how she started and see her work up close.

Hope your weekend is Wonderful.
It's our Stake Conference.
Which means the BEST Meeting
is Saturday night!

This was a challenge to make.
So made sashings to place just right.
I used my 'ripper' way more than I wanted.
It would have been in the Walla Walla Quilt Festival if the theme at the Trends wasn't 'Sweet Treats'
I added the Candy fabric border.
I Love this Quilt!

Friday is for Far Away Family & Festival!

I  made my return trip home yesterday .
I really didn't want to leave...
But, if I stayed, I was afraid.
Mostly of Friday or Saturday traffic!
I left before I got emotional.
The baby and I  with a cute photobomber who called me Ga ga!
We spent a lot of time reading books and listening to music on my phone.
I miss them already
Even this little guy.
We had lots of talks and walks.
Here we are waiting at the school bus stop.
I told him that I was leaving,  but would bring Grandpa back next time.
I got my Chick-fil-A
1400 miles put on my Honda Fit.
I learned that I really like when DH drives!!
My navigational skills are lacking.
At least 3 times I got turned around, down the wrong road!
I stayed in Tina's parents RV.
BIG THANKS to Doug & Teresa!
I had a hard time finding it in the dark so
Taking a picture of it and the sign helped.
The Rental they are staying is on Parkway.
I had to take a picture of it on my way out.

I made a few stops... yes, at Quilt shops!
I picked up 3 patterns - 2018 Row by Row
I know I didn't really NEED anymore.

This weekend is the Fall Trends in Portland. I will miss being there!
My Quiltville Mystery and Elizabeth's 2nd Quilt are there.

It's also Quilt Festival here in Walla Walla.
And, one of our Merrie Miss girls got married! Her open house is on Saturday.
All these things were urging me to come home. And I missed my DH a little.

A candid family shot, taken at the house.
The Older boys are so helpful.
And the Etna Ward family has brought in lots of good food.

I'm going to see the Quilts at Festival today!
6 days away, I  need my quilt show fix.

Wow- Wednesday

It's a Wednesday but I can't really show what I'm working on.
instead I can show you what we have done on EQ8.

Playing with a new Quilt with our Daughter by Love.
I told her I had the Civil War Blocks as a UFO that could work.
Remember these??
They're building a new home in Star Valley.
It's fun to see the walls go up this week since I came.

Here's a version with Trees around the outside.

I can make LOTS of quilts without even cutting the fabric.
Imagine the multi colored blocks in the center.
The trees can be multi colors too to represent the fall colors.

Next week is the BLOGGER'S QUILT FESTIVAL
I love this time of the Blogging year.
I'll be back to play.
I get to choose 2 Quilts to Enter.
Go HERE for all the Info

Design Wall Monday - Baby Quilt Finish

This is the fastest quilt I think I have made.
And it has now been delivered.
I call it Reagan's Mosaic Quilt
The Quilt design is called
Home Sweet Home
48" square
Flannel striped backing.
Perfect for snuggles on a cold winter night in Wyoming.
I  had my DH take the Picture of me with my Tiara on after I put the binding on at the Guild Sew-in.
Her brother finally got his quilt.
All the children had to pose for a picture.
This is what I  call
"Grandma Heaven"

September OMG & UFO

My September OMG is this Quilt!

It's the same as last month.
Today is the last day to Link-up HERE.
I did have a finish or 2 or 3 in August.
Just not the one I linked.

Today is also a Sew-in Day.
That means 'Tiara Time'
 It doesn't start until Noon!
I  can get some un-stitching done on those blocks that need the Corners changed.
Then get the borders added.
There's binding to go on a Special Quilt, too.
In- Person delivery happening soon.

Judy L chose #11 for September's UFO.
Fitting for this next week's anniversary.
I finished #11, so I'm going back to #4. Which coincidentally is my OMG.

WOW-WEDNESDAY Oh, Baby!!

Our 8th Granddaughter was born yesterday in Wyoming.
Reagan Celia Crowther
fresh from heaven !
So today is the day to work on her quilt.
She came a bit earlier than we expected.
It's crunch time...
This is the quilt I designed in EQ8.
The colors will not be as shown.
Gotta use what I have.

Secret Project is almost finished for Fall Quilt Market in Houston.
No sneak peeks of it until after Market,  maybe not until the fabric is released/shipped next Spring.
What are you working on?

Design Wall Monday -Fair Ribbons

This is my favorite picture at the
Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days 2018!
Linking up HERE.

We had too much fun Saturday.
I even got to go on a ride...
It's been a long while since I went on a Carnival Ride with my Grandsons in
Colorado at the Zoo.
The last carnival ride the DH took me on was the Ferris Wheel 42 years ago.
DH doesn't do the rides or the Vendors.
I don't do the cattle and pig barns...lol

He got his 'dippy dog' and I shared my 'funnel cake with my DD #1.
Yes, with Strawberries & Whipped Cream!
More forks please.
I already had my fill of Dippy Dogs.
2 grandchildren tried them.
I forgot to get my oldest sons family in the photo booth.
Thanks for coming to Grandma's
2018 Fair!
