It's a FriYay! NO SHOPPING!

I am not shopping early like I used to.

We had a watch Party with Eddie Walker today.
I was late getting there.
Sew fun to have a Sewlebrity in our midst.
I have a jelly roll to use!
Just like Eddie's.
Next year is the 250th celebration of USA.
Patriotic prints will be great!

I am still finishing my Sister's DWR.
Then I can sew this one.

Today is a Flying geese Double Day with the Quiltville Mystery.
I get to use my scrappy Purples, yea!

Happy FriYay!

Wow-Wednesday

Our Anniversay day didn't end up like anyone planned, no dinner, no roses!
We are dealing with hubby's health issues.
2 days spent in ER waiting rooms.
No fun!
Driving home on a rainy night, Scary!
Enough of that!

There's been a Lot of trimming happening.
These will be a fun border.

Trimming with my Tucker Trimmer.

2 more days until our friend Eddie's tutorial happens on YouTube with
 Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Bit not until Friday!

And Monday December begins with the opening of our Jenny Box
I'll be clicking HERE to watch whoever is opening each days gift.
Gotta get hubby's gifts in order.

Thankful it is Monday!

My Charisma Horton  workshop Quilt is a Flimsy!
I had to find where I put the Green Fairy Frost.
I had enough for 3 of the 4 borders cut.
Found it and got it sewn on for this Ta Da pic.

Woven Diamonds got webbed on Saturday.  Need to pin and stitch the cross rows.
There was some rearranging of the blocks from last time it was laid out.
I started this a year ago.
Auditioned a border fabric.
I think I will need an inner border of something more solid colored then I'll add the hsts left from the cut- off Flippy corners.
The package arrived while hubby was home.
Have to show why it was needed.
This started with a layer cake.
Tutorial is HERE

These blocks are from of the 1st part of
Lupine & Laughter Mystery Quilt
I need to make more,,,
Scrappy is better!

Have a great Thanksgiving Week.

It's FriYay! EARLY Quiltville Mystery Start

I was up to print early this morning.
Then I took a few more hours to get going.
It's a start.
Not a race or competition.
I have all week to finish this part.
Lupine and Laughter.
I thought it would be 4- patches or hsts.
Jokes on me!

Wow-Wednesday

Well, it's Wednesday, I have nowhere to go!
I woke up from a dream.
Bonnie Hunter came by my house on a scooter.
This was the last time I saw her in person.
It was 2016 in Battleground,  Washington.
She was near there again with her son, recently.
I woke up happy!
There's just 2 more sleeps until the Mystery starts.
"Lupine and Laughter"
I found some more Background fabric to add in.
And some more purples from a tote.
Is the dark dimples fabric too dark?
And some pink scraps from my Old Town backing.
Is it too dark??
We shall see what we get to start with.
Will it be 4- patches or hsts??

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Monday - New project ideas from TCQG

The Community Sevice group put out Fat Quarters and smal hunks and chunks of fabrics to choose from for more Charity quilts.

This is what I chose.
This star pattern was shown at the Show n Share.
It looked easy enough to use the fabrics.
I will add a background fabric.

No deadline just a fun way to get more Charity Quilts into the pipeline of  the Group.
There's many parts that can be done.
My favorite will always be Binding.

I spy 4 blooms on my Thanksgiving Cactus!
Almost there.
Happy Monday!

Wow-Wednesday- later than usual...

Binding in progress for next Monday..
Charity Quilt.

I found an old UFO from 2011.
I was looking for the Green backing is used on Elizabeth's Quilt.
The names are from all over the world.
My SBS friends.
SBS= Sylvia's Bridal Sampler not Sun Bonnet Sue.
I think I will ask for Quilt squares of this pattern next year so I can use these.

I have many UFOS. That makes me say WOW
everytime I pull one out.

Whatcha Working On?

Last minute Monday

Granddaughter Elizabeth brought her quilt
 to be quilted last Saturday.
When I put it on the Q20, she told me it was for a Wedding this week.
They're leaving on Wednesday.
Crunch time!
It filled the frame to the edge.

From the back...

Close up of the Quilting.
I got it done after my Daughters of Utah Pioneers meeting today.
Too big to stretch out on my living room floor.
These were big Blocks.
Lots of white, and big borders.
I hope they like it, it's a work of love.

Wow-Wednesday DWR Progress

Setting the squares on-point will make the
arc Borders nicer.
The setting triangles at the top make a
place to attach to the leaders.

A pretty crocheted snowflake to try.

Eddie got a small treasure fun, Fans in a
Drunkards Path setting.

The Thanksgiving Cactus is beginning to Bloom.
I forgot to put it in the dark this year.

This book arrived!
Great time to read while we wait at Dr appointments.

 Whatcha doing this Wednesday?

It's a Monday - Happy Fall

We spent the first day of November at the Temple.

It's the month of Thankful

My friend shared this list.

I made cookies for Linger Longer

It got dark early on the way to Tri-Cities
Sunday evening sunset!

Beautiful colors

Today was UFO Day at Powered by Fabric.
I unsewed some of the Arcs.

Which fabric is closer to the fabric I need?
Ready to re-cut the Outer arcs tomorrow.

This Quilt has been in the works since 2014.
Definitely a UFO!
