OMG - October One Monthly Goal Link-up

Linking up on the LAST Day for my OMG HERE.

My Tula Pink City Sampler is a Top!

(I May or May Not add Borders)

After much use of my "frogger" and Not many swear words.
The Cornerstones aligned just as I planned.
Every other one turned up and sideways.
I have learned well the lesson that If I want it right, I might have to un-sew a little or a LOT!

Thanks to Tula for making this piece of Fabric for me to use in my City Sampler.

This is my One Monthly Goal from October, it was my OMG from Septemebr too.
SEW glad it is DONE!!! (Insert BIG Smiling Face!)

Quiltville posted the Fabric Requirements for the 2017 Mystery
"On Ringo Lake"
It will be a long wait for "Black Friday" lol
Find the link HERE
Tomorrow's WOW- Wednesday will show my Fabric Choices and Paint chips.
If I can find them locally.

Design Wall Monday - Off the table, lol

Kathy in Canada has projects falling off her table, HERE
I had to laugh!!
It TRUE!  Some projects need to 'fall off the Table'

My Wall isn't as big as I need for the Tula Pink Quilt so it's on my Quilt table.
I still need to sew in those last few sashing vertical strips.
This flimsy still could happen in October.
I have the Sashing fabric in the house.

There are the two troublesome blocks that need to be changed, just a fabric replacement on one.

I thought I was so smart last week and made the 'd' & 'e' blocks for my ABC's.

Lori H fooled us on Saturday, and said to make the "Apple and Bee" blocks HERE

We had spent the day in Hemiston at a Family History Seminar.
We were an hour closer to where we needed to be Sunday to watch the Zillah Primary Program.
I got part of the Bee cut out at the Hotel where we stayed Saturday night.
I love using my Alphabitties and binder clips.

After a good nights sleep we headed there, enjoyed thier Program,
& then headed back to Walla Walla
I had the assignment to teach Relief Society on Sunday, so...
I bought myself a NEW dress, check out the Posing, lol.
Yea for daughters with Kohl's Coupons who share.
I made Infinity Scarves for my Girls last Christmas.
This one is my Favorite, of course, it's PURPLE and Paisley.
I have a few other ideas to accessorize this dress.
Necklaces and scarves.

Hopefully I can post the Tula Flimsy in time for the OMG this month.
Tula has a NEW Tula Pink ALL - Stars fabric line she's showing at Quilt Market.
Having the wanderlust to go somewhere warm.
DH has a few days left of Vacation this year, Where should we go?

Friday - Sewing my A B C's

The Spelling Bee letters are addictive.
I cut out the lower case letters and got them finished.
No automatic alt text available. No automatic alt text available.

No automatic alt text available.
I'm using the Alphabet background that I had on a bolt.
YEA, it's not directional.
It will take quilte a few of the Letters to make all of my Grandchildrens names.
I have made a list and hope I can keep up and make all of them as I go.
Only 13 lower case A's to make...lol

While I was stitching I saw this Block in a totoe, ready to sew.

I cut it out when I was making my Farm Girl Vintage Blocks.
Lots of tiny pieces and I needed to cut the black for the Beater and Plug.
It needs embroidery for the cord and prongs.

I'm ready to start on the next set of letters Saturday.

Sorry, I didn't have time to edit the rest of my Quilt show Pictures.

Just had to take a short time to go watch a Grandson play Football.
It was in town, no good excuse to not go.

This is  the face of Victory! !
It's fun to go and watch them Win!!
Back home after stopping at Stash to take a picture with my Seat mate from the Spokane Quilt Show Bus trip.

Finally Friday - It's been one of those weeks...

Hurray for Friday!!!
I have had a week of frustration, delayed starts and interruptions.
Too many meetings is a curse and a blessing.
I have to get up and out of the house.
That means no PJ's all day, and no quilting - not a WIN in my Book.
But I did have a bit of FUN and got to spend some time with my ladies at Church.
It's always good to play the glad game.
The Quilt is OFF the Quilt Machine and in the mail to it's maker.
No more pictures, it's a Christmas gift.
Hurray!!!
.
Although Fall is not my Favorite time...
With Fall comes the Month of Gratitude and this year I have much to be grateful for.
I will attempt to not dwell on the BAD in the news.
I have enjoyed leaving my TV off in the mornings and not reading the newpapers.
If there is something DH tells me about, I will go and check it out later.
Note; he reads the Obituaries like his father.
I don't need or want to go to anymore of those this year!

In the Fall my Favorite Channels are HERE and HERE
Yes I love the sappy Christmas movies and I can watch them over and over.
The week of Thanksgiving there will be five nights in a row of New Movies!
The NEW one on November 23rd that I am waiting anxiously for
"The Mistletoe Inn"
Image result for The Mistletoe Inn
(based on the Book by Richard Paul Evans).
Last Year was "The Mistletoe Promise"

My Friend's Son will be in
"Switched at Christmas"
on the 26th of November. He's an 'extra'!

Today, as this Post goes Live, I'll be spending the day with 52 of my Quilt Minded Friends.
It's our 2nd year to enjoy a bus ride to the Spokane Quilt Show.
There are Prizes on the BUS!
Eddie W makes it fun and Many Thanks to the Shops who donate prizes.
IF I really wanted to, I could go again on Saturday with the Tri-City Guild, lol

Here's Hoping that I get even more inspired to make the NEW Grandma Quilt Camp Quilt...
Have a wonderful week-end, whatever it entails.
My Calendar is Booked
Balloons, Football, Quilting, or Day of Service.

Super Bummed, I really wanted to QUILT.
It was a Stay Home all Day!

Design Wall Monday - October 16. 2017

The Month is half over and It's time to get back to my Quilt Zone.
After I get back from Tri-Cities Quilt Guild today.

I got more done on my "Buried Treasure" Quilt at Retreat.
I used the ripper and got the last few blocks put together correctly so I could finish the center part.
I added the light colored inner Border.
I'm auditioning a final border ideas.
Piano Key, Four Patches on Point???

The view on Satuirday Morning was so peaceful.
With the chilly weather today, I wanna go somewhere "beachy".
Dear Hubby, Paul picked the last of our Tomatoes.
I hope they ripen slowly so we get to eat them all.
I might have to try some Green Fried Tomatoes, lol

This sweet lady had a birthday last week.
A drive to watch her youngest Son play Football and delivery of late Birthday gifts happened.
I had to search back to June to remember what I'd made those Birthday girls.
Dusting off the Artista was fun last week.

A picture with Grandpa after the Victorious game.
Good to spend time with these grandchildren on a chilly Saturday in Benton City.

The BYU Dancers came for a performance at Walla Walla High School Saturday evening/.
This is the only picture I got.
The Young man said he started dancing when he was 2 years young.
I tried to get a picture with him but it was just a BLURRY White Spot.
The dresses and outfits were so amazing. Zoom in to see them in the background.
We had a 2nd Row seat!
Sunday they did a Special Fireside and sang for us.
They are off to Olympia today where they will do another Fireside tonight.

My UFO for the Month is this Quilt.
New Year's Reflection
I only need a few more alternate blocks.
Whereever it is, I hope to get to work on it soon.
It's been waiting since 2012, I think...
