I went down to get Pictures of them and Vote for my Favorite.
In no particular Order...

Well, I got 8 of the 9 Quilts pictures.

I thought you might like to choose too!!
Who knew what could be made from a Jelly Roll??
Have a great weekend!
Ours will be filled with Family!

WOW - Wednesday

I didn't have much to say this Morning.
My Doll Swap Quilt arrived in the mail from Tennessee today.
I wondered how long it would take from across the United States.
Now I have something to Say WOW about!
I saw it posted on the Humble Quilts Facebook Page earlier this week too.
But I didn't see the goodies!
Cute Spool Pins and a Needle Roll-up bag to take on trips.
She says the patterns for the bag came from a Book by Kathleen Tracy.
The book is called "Remembering Adelia"
Hey, that's close to my Middle name "Adell, lol

This is my 3rd Doll Swap with Lori's Humble Quilts Blog and Facebook Group.
The Doll Quilt SWAP Link-up is HERE

My Quilt is ready to be mailed now that the binding is done.
I took a picture of the back.
It's a Dear Jane Fabric, I hope it's ok to go with the Civil War on the front.
You can see the front after it gets to Ohio!
I need to make the label.

Quilting this calmed my soul today as I cried for the loss of our sweet 25 year young, Neice.
She leaves her sweetheart and 3 beautiful little girls.
My heart aches for her Parents, too!
The young ones lost are the hardest on us -who have seen so many pass away.
Hope you remember to tell those you LOVE how you feel and Hug them extra tight!

Design Wall Monday- April 24, 2017

My Design Wall Post is up a Bit late today.
Grandma took advantage of sleeping in!
It was a good weekend, watching the grandchildren.
I call it Grandma time, it reminds me of the reason we have babies when we are younger.
Not everything go accomplished, but that is OK!
E's Quilt top is not DONE.
The deadline to enter Quilts is tonight for the Krazy Horse Quilt Show.
O's Quilt is Bound and entered!
Here she is pressing the Binding. She helped with part of the hand-stitching, too.

This little sister is a Helper!
She wanted to help with Dinner.
Grandma's Pizza- cooked on Rectangle Pans.
They were quick to say I used the wrong pans.
Grandma does things differently, oh my!
She's only 6, but says she can Quilt too, Grandma Says: "Not until you are 10!"

I worked on my Doll Quilt and it just needs the quilting.
I did start over!
After a stop at the Newly Re-Opened Amelia's Quilt Shop in Tri-Cities.
Here are some of the fabrics I used.
And a "Humble" Corner.
2" Hsts don't fit on the edge of a 15 1/2" quilt center...
I just got an email that my Swap Quilt is on the way from Tennessee.

Sunday Morning was like Heaven watching O play Piano while her sister sang.
I am so happy to see Pauls' Grandmother's Piano being used.
Little sister was twirling so she's blurry.

It's an easy week with No evening meetings and fairly free days too.
 I might get something done!!
If I could just find that OMG project.

Friday Fun Coming!

It's not the last Friday of the month, yet!
MAY is coming on Quickly!
25 DAYS until I get to see BONNIE!!!

But for today...I'm packing for some Grandma time.
It' not too far this time.
Traveling by car I always take too much.

On the agenda is my Humble Quilts Doll Swap quilt.
I have sewn most of it on "Priscilla" my Treadle.
I'm looking through my books for more inspiration.
Right now I'm thinking my Swap Quilt is too "Modern"
I think the seam ripper may have to come out again.
Unless I just start all over and make a more Humble design.
I have to have it in the mail by May 1st!
HURRY UP Time!

Gotta help #1 & #2 Granddaughter get their Spring Breaks Quilt DONE!
I'll be helping #2 with her Binding.
The deadline for entering the Krazy Horse Quilt Show is April 24th.
I need a good Final Measurement to enter it.#1 Needs to sew her rows together.
Then the Final Borders.
Just wait until you SEE it!
One of these fabrics will be the backing...
 With all the RAINY DAYS---
I need a little SPRING!
My Mother's Day Snowball tree from J & K    --  Purple Tulips that survived the harsh Winter.

WOW- Wednesday- More Robin Ruth Design Inspiration

I have to share just a few of my Favorites from the Trunk Show today.
Every time the guys unfolded one of these I just about gasped!
They are all so amazing.
& they all are made from "PIE" with Robin's Ruler!!
Oh the Possibilities!
This one was made several years before the actual 'Ruler' was designed.
They really are SEW Easy!
I can attest to the fact that it WASTES LESS Fabric than regular Foundation Piecing on paper.
I'll let the rest of the pictures speak for themself.
If you want to see more & better pictures go HERE
She has a Facebook too and an APP you can get for your Phone.

I WISH I could just make these all day while I can still remember HOW!
My darn calendar is just too FULL!!!

Which one is your Favorite???

Design Wall Monday- April 17, 2017

I'm happy to show what I learned at the Robin Ruth Class.
Our goal was to make just one Block for a Pillow.
Image may contain: 1 person, smiling
Which basically took all day!
I had "Big Pie" before we stopped for Lunch.
The 2 halves were ready to stitch soon after.

Here's our Class
Image may contain: 9 people, people smiling, indoor

My 2 Mariner's Compass blocks on my New Design Wall
I had to finish the 2nd one to make sure I could remember how.
Robin is a great Teacher. Her website is HERE
Here we are at the Trunk Show.

The Trunk show was inspiring.
I'll share those pictures on Wednesday.

Funky Friday

Tonight is the Trunk Show before the Workshop.
I am taking to finally learn how this ruler works.

I met Robin in 2015 at the Krazy Horse Quilt Show

I bought the ruler that day and it is still in the package.
I bought the second one when I saw her at Trends in Portland.

I saw her at Road to CA, too
Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling

I guess I'm kinda her 'stalker'.
I need to choose some Pretty colors to make my New Mariner's Compass.
I swore I'd never make another one,
but here I go.
It's a Good Friday.
Happy Easter Weekend!

WOW - Wednesday - What to Work on...

I didn't set my Goals for April.
I did choose the OMG however.
I'm still looking for it. [insert sad face...]

Guess what, I found last Month's OMG.
"Buried Treasure" Blocks

It's been a BUSY week and I am still recuperating from last week.
Last night was our Quilt Guild Symposium.
I didn't volunteer for a DEMO, I felt a little out of it.
I left my Phone and Camera at home (not on purpose).
So... there are NO Pictures
I didn't see anyone else taking any either.

I have a couple of Deadlines looming so I am working on those.
My Humble Quilts Doll SWAP.
The chain of Treadled Blocks are now pressed and going on the Design Wall.
I'm pretty sure my partner won't see these.
I dare not show them on Facebook though.

And Quilting my En Provence before the Quiltville PNW Retreat.

I know I should be over it, but this day always make me sad- even after 37 years.
Image may contain: 2 people, people standing
Siblings day was this week and the only pictures I had were taken at the Cemetery.
I included my Siblings by LOVE.

Make it a good Wednesday!

Design Wall Monday- Grandma Quilt Camp re-cap

I was having too much fun with the girls here.
There was no UPdate on the Blog Friday.

2nd Annual Grandma Quilt Camp was a Success!
Image may contain: 2 people
A chocolate KISS for each Block finished.
Grandma's Sweat shop was BUSY!
Cut, Sew & Press!!
Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling
These are the collages I shared on Instagram.
We took O's flimsy outside for pictures and Shut the door without thinking it was locked. Opps!
Grandpa C to the rescue.
The girls will never forget this Grandma Quilt camp.
We had fun playing Dress-up and going out for Lunch.
Zillah Cousin's came for a short Visit- we forgot to take their Pictures.

As of Saturday night, Quilt #2 for Granddaughter #2 is Quilted and ready for binding.

Here's the Back. Sorry no full reveal until at the Quilt show.

I bought Portable Design Wall and got it out just for this years' Quilt Camp.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how they changed up the layout of their blocks.
They made the Quilts their own!

Next year's Quilt is already in the planning when we will have
3 Girls here for Grandma's Quilt Camp!
Last year's Challenge to make 4-patches might be used for an easier quilt.
The girls will continue that Challenge.
O took home some Fat Q's to make more.

Grandpa asked if he could make a Block.

Image may contain: 1 person
Posing with his 4-Patch.
A friend on Facebook asked if he got a "Kiss"  lol
He was impressed with how we twirled the seam on the back.
My $700 tip from the Block Party

While the girls sewed I tried Treadling my Doll Swap Quilt blocks.

I got them chained and pressed.
Time to arrange them and get my Swap Quilt in the Mail ASAP.

I cut these Block parts for the Bonnie Hunter Retreat in May.
So many Scrappy parts for my Garden Party Quilt.
1/4th of the count needed for the BIG Quilt.
They are safely put into baggies for now, waiting to made into the Posey Blocks.

We are down to 36 Days!  Getting SEW Excited!
