Spring has me looking at New Projects. 

I tried to resist,  really I did.

I love when the Dogwood blooms and my 'Snowball Tree' is wishing me Happy May!!!

Amy's Creative Side (blog link on my sidebar Blog roll) has started a New 

SAL with her comfort quilt pattern. 

It's already week 2, but I don't have her book to start. I have to wait.

I was invited to a Designer Duo Facebook page. 

There's a Sew-Along happening there.

I ordered the book in a moment of weekness, the quilt is so pretty. 

How can I  resist???

Well, I  have to wait until the  end of the Spelling Bee Saturday SAL .

Saturday was the Letter Ww. 

W- is for Work in Progress,  WIP,  Who, What, Where, When, White ABC'S background, Wonderful Women. 

Also Walla Walla & my friend, Wendy !

Just X, Y, Z are left.

April OMG Finish Link-up

I got my OMG Finished

before the last day of the month!!

 I started this last year with a Layer Cake that I had.

The Hearts are inspired by some I saw on Temecula Quilt Company.

Quilting Hearts on it was perfect! 

Edit: This was my UFO for April also!!

Double the reason for Celebrating. 

 Here is the pattern on "Betsy ".

Ok, change is good, especially before it gets all sewn together.

Design Wall/ Floor Monday April 23, 2018

I have made the Letters for My Grandsons Bigger quilt. 

My Spelling Bee Saturday was the Letter Vv

V- is for Vase, Victory, Verigated, Violet, 

Voice,  Video and I couldn't forget 

V is for Vincent.

My OMG is getting loaded later this week. I made sure the backing was big enough today .

WOW - Wednesday Mid- April

I am finally Working on Caleb's Quilt.

I have put it on hold since they left after Easter.  

He really wants to see it!

I played in EQ8 and Figured out a layout.

The blocks will look a bit different from that.

I'm starting with 6 1/2" blocks

Laid out just like his baby Quilt

I have a few more blocks to sew to make it BIG Enough...

Have to show him I am working on it.

The stitching on "Betsy" continues between all the Meetings this week.

I will be so glad to have the Secret Project  done.

Then I can Quilt the OMG Quilt.

It's Design Wall Monday - New Spelling Bee Blocks - DONE!

I got up and made my Spelling Bee Bllocks on Saturday. 

 Fun Picture Blocks to add to my ABC Quilt.

A few new pieces of fabric from the Tri-Cities Quilt Show were used in these blocks.

Friday - not much to share

This is my Table Runner 

Before the binding went on.

I  quilted it from the back with a 

Gray verigated thread.

I'still working on my Secret Project for Quilt Market. 

I'm tempted to make the Diamond Tile block with Bonnie Hunter, but so far am resisting. I have 2 UFO'S from the Retreat last year still.

I also didn't join the Humble Quilts Swap this year.
Paul asked me if I have been thinking about my Dad this week ...
The answer is yes!
This rainy April is not helping.

WOW Wednesday - April Symposium

It was a Fun Night at the Guild Symposium.

I got to share EQ8 perks and the new Book I got with my Upgrade.

I was busy sharing and barely took a moment to browse the other tables.

I made a quick dash to see the other Table Runners in the FMQ Challenge.

Design Wall Monday - April 9, 2018

Technical issues on the Desktop today. 

I have been stitching on yet another 

Secret Project. 

A table runners challenge for the Walla Walla Guild.

We were given a Gray piece to put a border on and FMQ it.

No computerized designs allowed. 

I  thought and thought,  waiting nearly too long too late for the deadline.

Saturday was the day to 

'Gett'r Done'!!

This floral is on the back.

Tater batting will make the 

runner heat proof. 

Black binding to complete it in time to meet up and deliver it to Brandy.

Hubby's Saturday project was to remove the 2 trees from the side of our front steps. I'm sad to see them gone.

Spelling Bee Saturday

 This was my visitor on Friday...

3 Generations helping this 11 year old   finish her 1st quilt. 

The unstitching happened on the 1st row of quilting. 'Betsy ' didn't like the pattern chosen,  so we had to Meander.

Cutting it off the frame, another favorite part of quilting.

Scrappy Binding went on my WASIQ NY SAL from 2014.

Perfect finishing touch!

I went back to work.

My March OMG is all quilted.

I had company coming for lunch.

My friend, Ellen wanted to see my 

Quilt machine set-up.

I'm glad they came!!

Design Wall Monday on Tuesday - April 3rd - No foolin'

The whirlwind weekend went into Monday and I'm back to "real Quilt life" now.

Last Month's OMG made it to the Frame, but Life got chosen instead of Quilting.

It's time to make the choice for my NEW OMG (One Monthly Goal)

As I have Promised my Grandson this week, His Quilt will be my OMG for April.

I made him this Baby Sized Quilt in 2009.

For many years (7-8 at least) he has said, "Grandma, my Quilt is too small"

We found some of the same 'Little Genius' fabrics in my Stash to put in the BIGGER quilt.

Plan is made and fabric selected for the backing.

My UFO last Month was to make a Mini Quilt, I finished my #8 UFO early in March.

I have another to make this month, if there is time.

It's another Quilt to be Quilted.
