Monday, Monday...

It's a Chili Sauce Monday.
I got up early to get the Tomatoes, Onions, Peppers and Apples peeled and ready for making my Grandma's Chili Sauce.
It's the secret ingredients in my soups and stews.
Anything that needs Ketchup it tastes good with.
One lone Gladilola this week.
Beautiful 😍

The paving is happening by my Chiropractors office on Howard. Yahoo!

We met up with Janessa and Dan to watch KD in the Alice in Wonderland Jr.
Fun to see her doing something she loves.
One of the fun things that happened after - the concert director got proposed to.
Dan proposed to Janessa at the Sunflower Festival.
It was a good day for proposals!

This was my Saturday Project
It has sat in the Fabric tote for 10 months.
Natalie's Woven Diamonds Tutorial.
Have a Happy Monday!

Its a Quilt Festival Friday

This is why I'm not in Utah.
I am Vice President of our local Guild.
Next year I'm the President.
Gotta learn all the things.
Our Guild booth at the Festival.
Come see me!
I will be here when I'm not looking at the Quilts.

I found my Old Town Mystery Quilt.
In the back by the Demo area.
Not a Prime location, but it's ok.
I only finished this one.
Still burying threads on My Purple Passion.

I had tomatoes calling to me.
Plus a quilty friend shared some at Eddie's.
Chili Sauce time.
Janessa's guy friend, Dan said can you teach me how to make it?
Of course., passing a family favorite to the next Generation,  priceless.
Plus, many hands made Quick work.
I had the jars filled by 12:30 am.
14 Pints and 2 fridge containers to taste it!
It was so fun to share the making of it with them!
I usually make it around this time of year.
It's what I was doing the day and night before I became a Mom!
Tomorrow is our oldest Sons birthday.
Next week is our Youngest Daughters Birthday.
I'm off to the Quilt Festival all day!
It's different,  but I can't be everywhere this year.
Still, I wish I was in UTAH!
Garden of Quilts started this week.

Wow-Wednesday

I am still stitching binding down.
I had a Hand stitching day at Powered by Fabric.
I took it to Quilt Guild last night.
I am almost to the last side. Then I start the
 thread burying.
I love the trick I learned to do that.
It works like magic.
You thread a folded piece of thread through the needle, making a loop. Put that loop over where
the thread is and put the needle close to the thread.
I hold onto the Thread I'm burying and pull the needle to a close seam between the layers.
Does that make sense?

Today is my only Free Day to stitch at home.
Tomorrow we set up the Quilt Festival and Quilt Guild booth.

I should be Quilting a certain baby Quilt.
We bought our tickets last night to go meet the Newest Crowther!

This Quilt needs a green Border,
Then it can be Quilted.

My 4-patch purple trip needs the Quilting too.
Funny how making these purple Quilts has not diminished my Stash, lol.

I have a Charity Quilt to bind for next Monday's
Quilt Guild in Tri-Cities.
I can work on that while I'm at the Guild booth.
It's smaller than the Purple Passion.
I will work on that in the evenings.
It needs a lot of threads buried.

Have great Wednesday

It's Monday Somewhere

Purple Passion aka Ruby Jubilee QM 40th Anniversary Project from 2022.
I made mine with all purples.

I have learned some tricks to quilt a different pattern design in each block.

This one is my Favorite!

We had lots of Company on Saurday
Janessa and Dan came to visit with Elizabeth and Mochael who came to visit us.

Michael helped Paul prune the Snowball Tree.
Yes, Paul is up on the Ladder

I had to take a picture of the Grandkids with Grandpa

We asked if they wanted to go to Maple Counter.
This is my choice, Blueberry Cobbler French toast.
It was Delicious!

Elizabeth brought her T-shirt Project to work on.
This Quilt hs been on the Q20 Way too long
It is Finished, Except for Tacking the binding and burying threads.
There's a Lot of them.
I took it off the frame and got the binding and label attached before I went to bed.
I must Confess, it was O'Dark thirty.
I had hopes of entering it in the Quilt Festival.
That won't happen.
Today was the last day of Turning in Quilts.
I had Grandious dreams of entering 4 Quilts and a Challenge Block.
This was the Challenge fabric.
I swear, it is the UGLIEST fabric ever!
It never inspired me to make a block for the Challenge.
I never got inspired by the Improv theme of the Quilt Challenge so that Quilt wasn't made.
I had an idea, but, life got in the way.

I was in Charge of Linger Longer, so I was cooking all Morning. Spaghetti pie and Chocolate and Lemon Lush.
I haven't made it in probably 40 years.
I was tired all day.

As for the other 2 Quilts not delivered today...
They will wait to be shown in March in Tri-Cities.
At least one of them.

As for the Friday post,
Life Happened and I got waylaid by another project Paul needed my help doing.
To keep the mud and dirt from leaving the flowerbeds and pooling at the end of the sidewalk.
We added some garden edging to the
 inside of the sidewalk.
He went and tried to find something to use.
It was not as good as I wanted so I had to go help him find something better.
Yet another reason why I didn't get all my Quilts ready for the show.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
