Granddaughter#1 is SEW Fun!

We went town to Celebrate this girl!

Grandpa thought we should bring her home.
I wasn't as sure, I have projects to work on.
We went to pick up some things at her house and she brought her Grandma Quilt Camp Project.
I was amazed that all her Blocks were done.
She made her Flying Geese during Grandma Camp.
An Eleanor Burns Layer Cake was her choice of Pre-Cut this year.
It made cutting and choosing easy for the Granddaughters.
The block was found on EQ8, she chose her colors and sewed a couple.
It's a variation of the Capital T.
Lots of White Background.
She named it "Gate of Roses"

By the end of the second day, she had it al together.
She got lots of ooo's and ahs at Quilt Guild!
She chose the Carmen's Roses to be Quilted on it.
My file was corrupted on the Quilt Machine so I'm working on Downloading it again.
Gonna test it on this Table Runner she made with the 3 Extra Blocks.

Hope to get it done in time for the Tri-Cities Quilt Show.
I have a few other Quilts in the Que...

My first Quilt was tested on Betsy while she was here.

After 2+ years, Betsy is uncovered and trying to be useful.
I have got to remember all the quirks, lol
I needed this design tested for a quilt that is due to be gifted this coming week.
These are 4-Patches I had all sewn together. I just had to add the Multi-Print fabric.
It's an old VIP from my stash.
It has the binding sewn on.
I can tack it down while I wait for Paul at his Cataract Surgery on Monday.

I realized I don't really have a Valentine's Quilt.
My Red/Pink Blocks didn't get put together yet.
Maybe later today... we have another road trip.

Remember these?

Jenny did a flash back to the tutorial for the "Antique Lace"
This block is made from those tiny hst's
80 Pieces per block, Whew!

This one will be an Entry for the Black and White Challenge at the Quilt Show in March.

2-22-22 Did He or Didn't He?

It's another Groundhog day! Every year, it comes...
Just like Bill Murray,  I feel like it's a repeating day, over and over.
Went to the Dentist again today.  I thought it was yesterday, lol 4 visits are too many IMHO.
I paid the bill and thought that could have bought me another machine, lol 😆
Crown on my broken tooth, Done!!

This is what I  did instead of the dentist yesterday.
5 of the 9 Favorite Blocks shared on the 3 Things at 3.
In pinks and reds.

Because I saw that it is Embroidery Month
So many cross threads!! When I do it again I'll clip those threads as I go.
Does the Tail look backwards to you?

3 needles broke in the making of this Peacock.
It's a good test for next time.
Had to buy more Embroidery Needles. Retail Therapy for my pain in the mouth.
I have an Online class coming up on Friday with My Girlfriends Quilt Shop.
I'm learning new things to do in the Hoop.
Hooked on Kimberbell stuff too.

My Quilty Tools, I can't live without!
The My Girlfriend's Quilt Shop Club asks us what tools we can't live without in February??
I remember cutting up cereal boxes for quilt patterns in the 1970's.  Cutting the fabric with scissors. We have so many tools now that make it easier!

Packages bringing more of the Confetti blues so I can make the Blue Challenge Blocks with Riley Blake. Blues in my stash are the wrong shades.
Good to see the actual colors to compare.

Here's a fun link of the DH who Celebrates this month.
I love seeing the photos that show up in my memories.
