It's Fri-yay

 I got my 8 Rows done ✔️
I decided to use the Blue as my sashing.
It makes the flowers float better.
The watermelon and Ice cream had to go sideways.
#kissedquilts shared the Files to make the 'Summertime' Logo. Top right corner.
I want to list the shops on 2 of the corners.
That leaves one corner blank.
I thought of making a Picket Fence row.
The final quilt is still talking to me.
But, I'd really rather just quilt it today.
The shop is closed on Saturday, July 1st.
Not sure if it will be open Monday before July 4th
I'll call today to arrange when to deliver it.

It is a Scrapday at Eddie's so,
this will marinate at home.
So happy the ladies reminded me that Guild
Is next week, not on the 4th of July!
Hooray, I have another week to collect
and sort stuff.

Happy 4th of July coming up.
There's a Walla Walla 3rd Ward BBQ we got
 invited to last night.
I hope to attend the Sweets day Game.
Very busy start to our first week of July.

Wish me luck, fitting it all in!

WOW-WEDNESDAY

I stitch and stitch until I am tired.

After fixing the rest of the Daisy row and the stem. on the Bleeding Hearts row,
I decided to take a Nap!
Then I worked on the Lilly Row.
Putting it together was a challenge.
Much Frog stitching and Ripping was needed.
I'm done with Paper-piecing for a long while!

I just have one last row to make.
It won't have the paper-pieced leaves on it.
Changing it to a horizontal row of 4 blocks.
The top block is the one I need to 3 more of...

The Brown centers with be from my Stash.
I'm not putting any more $$$ out on this!

Wow Wednesday is gonna be putting
the rows together.
One suggestion was the put the 4 blue flowers with background, in the center,  rows on the back.
I may do that, we shall see...
It would be a smaller quilt.

Row by Row 2023

Yesterday's stitching.
I am reminded of why I DON"T do Paper-Pieced Projects!
Gotta fix that stem border too.

Waiting for the Quilt Shoppe to open.
edited to add: Stash Quilt Shop in town didn't open 11am and Sew Vac N Spas didn't have it.
How many shades of Green Grunge do I need to finish this year's Quilt?
Evidently just the one I didn't have enough of.

Row by Row 2023- one Paper-pieced flower at a time
I wonder if the center is supposed to be this way?

The Pink didn't match up like it was supposed to.
Not doing it over again...Just saying!

Today I get to stay home and stitch, after my Chiro appointment.
Thank goodness for Text Reminders!
Oh and a stop at the Quilt store.

Hope to get the Row by Row finished and turned in this week.
July 1st is coming up quickly.

Fri-YAY in June!

 It's a Fri-Yay Flimsy Day!

I took my almost a Flimsy to show NaDell at her Work.
She wanted a few pictures.
Then she posted this one of me with the Book Quilt.
My friends and her friends think she's lucky!
Making the Books is really easy. MSQC Tutorial HERE
I spent at least 2 solid days stitching the Book Titles.
Hooping and re-Hooping the rows.
As I said it would have been easier before sewing the rows together.
Looking at the picture I might move a few rows around
and turn a couple more sideways. Hummm...
6 more titles to embroider!
It should be a real flimsy by the end of the day.

It's a busy and Fun weekend!
Full of Baseball and Crafting with some friends.
We were all decked out in our Sweets gear, sitting in our favorite seats at Borleske.
Come watch with us on the 4th of July.
It's a 12:05 day game with Fireworks later.

Monday Drive

It was a Beautiful day for a drive.
My Sister and I at the Moses Lake Temple

I forgot my Selfie stick.
Roma Teresa and I at the Temple.

Flowers put out for Father's Day.
The shadow is me.

They were mowing the grass so I am thinking they weren't there for long.

We were attending a Memorial for a Moses Lake Friend and Fellow Quilter.
She was loved by her family, who gave beautiful tributes to her lifelong Service and Kindness.

The Guest book Table.
Houses Quilt

Thomasene made this Quilt.

She loved to Cross Stitch her label.

This Quilt hung at the March Quilt show.
She made a Quilt for each holiday.
This one was her School Quilt.

Friday Mail Call

Well, I have made the calls to 8 shops and have a couple more that are in transit.
Today brought 3 more so I have six!
I have to wait until next week to start.
It was much easier to shop by phone and
 pay a little shipping.
The $$ I saved in time and gas is worth waiting.

Waiting to leave for Olivia's Graduation,
 I picked Strawberries.
I love having them in our flowerbeds.
we won't get as many this year.
Paul said some of the plants winter killed.
Might be time to re-plant June bearing ones in that flowerbed.

Grandpa is taking another Nap so I am being quiet.
Happy Fri-Yay!

WOW-WEDNESDAY

Have to work on the Graduation Gifts today!

It's almost time for the Class of 2023 to begin the next step in their lives as grown-ups.

These kids all have a special place in my heart!
I taught Xander and Mya in Primary.
And the 2 Grandchildren,  it goes without saying.
Great, Talented young adults!

I like to gift the things that are useful.
$$$ is always a good gift too.
These Embroidered towels will last longer
than the money!

I miss having K-Mart up the road to buy towels.
I found some at Bi- Mart.
Even if they aren't the right blue.

Monday Making

Monday was UFO Day at Powered by Fabric.
This one is long over due.
I needed opinions from my Quilt Committee
By unanimous decree
The stripe for the alternate square in the Double 4- patche and the lighter blue solid for the solid squares, lol

Webbed then stitched.
49"x57"
Just need a quick addition to the sides of the
Name / Tractor row.
Then a 2" border all around.

This was our weekend
Watching Sam's Puyallup Team

Grandpa Paul left the shade, so
 I offered my Pretty Umbrella.
It was nice to watch the Travel team.
Most of the Team had to Travel to Tri-Cities.

Sweets Season starts on Friday!
Hope we can make a game or two.
It's Graduation week!

Finally Friday - Row By Row begins

 It's Row by Row Time!
It started June 1st.
Today was the first chance I had to check it out.
Only one shop locally, (within 30-45 minutes) is participating in 2023.
Highland Quilts in Athena, Oregon.
Can you say daytrip...?
Her kit was in Batiks so I bought yardage of her Grunge to make the row.
She asked if I would bring a winning Quilt back to her.
Of Course!
I won there in 2016
Home Sweet Home was the Theme.

I called Kissed Quilts to have her mail me a kit.
That is allowed this year, HURRAY!
Thanks for kitting your row up in different fabrics.
She collaborated with 3 other shops to make some real cute flowers.
Lilies, Sunflower, Daisy and Bleeding Hearts.
(photo borrowed from Kissed Quilts)
They are paper-pieced but I guess I'll just have to work with it.
I really like those Bleeding Hearts.

Happy Donut Day!

Long story- Short
I'll never get locked out of my house again!

Isn't that a cute Key??
