WOW Wednesday - OMG DONE and Link-up

November 2016 was a BLUR in my Blogland.
I skipped a few posting days and pre-posted a few.
My OMG
"My Secret Garden"
pattern by Pat Sloan HERE

It is just a Flimsy but that was the GOAL!
Finished November 5th!
I got it done early because of my Busy, Busy Month.
I love it!  Shared it with my Guild.
The holders had it sideways, but it looked good that way too.

It's fun to have a Block of the Month that finishes before the end of the year!
What will Pat Sloan do for next year??
She had a poll on her facebook, maybe a Wall Hanging???

Linking up with Elm Creek Quilts HERE

Onward to December tomorrow and the Countdown to Christmas!
Lots and lots of Secret Stitching will be happening!
My Sweet Sister helped this year by sharing her plastic canvas Snowflakes
for the annual Ornaments that I didn't get made this year for the grandchildren.
I had two fun helpers.

One family is delivered, the rest will be delivered this weekend, I hope!

Design Wall Monday - November 28, 2016

I decided that my Tula Blocks deserved their own Link-up day over at Judy L's HERE
This is a double link-up posting day!
Which post will get the most Comments and looks?

100 Days 100 Blocks is DONE!
Here are all the blocks together. It wasn't easy to get them all in one picture.

I am still choosing the layout and color of sashing.
Here are the two layouts I'm choosing from.
I saw this Quilter's Alphabet and had to put it on my Blog

2016 Quiltville Mystery Linky day #1

YEA!!! it's a Linky Day!

After the Wyoming family left and my local boys went home with their hard working dad,
I could get my Mystery going.
I had to make a choice.
Cut just one single fabric or add a 2nd Neutral.
I chose the leftover fabric from my Jubilee Diamond Dash,
60 4-patches made and I'll get the rest sewn over this week.

This quilt is going to "Sparkle" with all the Fairy Frost!
I used my June Taylor ruler to sub-cut the parts.
And the Purple Gypsy Cutter to cut between the chain piecing.
Spun the seams and pressed, stacked in sets of 10.
This week is less busy, so just another day of stitching I can finish Clue 1.
What colors will we use next??
I found a Green that I liked better.
Fingers crossed, I get to cut into it for Clue 2.

Thanks to BONNIE for the Fun and easy Clue to start!

WOW - a different kind "Where oh Where?"

I have not shared the many Pictures of my Trip with my Wonderful Husband of 40 years, (Friday)
Where oh Where did we GO!???
Harrah's Hotel had the perfect photo op spot!
With Buck & Winnie,
thanks to the kind lady who took this one for us.
First Dinner was at Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar & Grill"
Had to take a picture by his Cut out!
I'm a groupie, I know
Pulled Pork and Potato Salad.

We not only went to watch Donny & Marie on Tuesday.
Special and $$$ Pictures from the Event
This picture tells it best
Thanks to the lady and her father who handed us Meet & Greet passes after the show.
Donny came to our Table
& We got to MEET Marie after the show.
If you want the rest of the Story just ask me.

We took way too Many pictures with Wax figures at Madam Tussaud's.
Just a few of my Faves!

Paul's reprise with Brittany...and with LUCY.
There were a few new figures...
My reprise with Elvis and with my Favorite NEW wax figure - DONNY!

We were at the Las Vegas Temple on this day last week.

Beautiful Temple - reminded me of Boise and Portland for different reasons.
My Favorite place to be to Celebrate our 40th Anniversary!
Our plan to go back to Canada wasn't to be- :(
It was much warmer in Vegas...
Renting a Car was the best choice we made.
A lady gave us the tip to park on the TOP and ride the elevator up.
That made it easy to find our ride.
It was a great place to take a picture of the Ferris Wheel.
NO, we didn't get on it for a ride!!

BIG PLUS- We got to get off the Strip and see other things.
Red Sandstone enroute to Overton... and a Lost City Museum

Thursday night we were invited for dinner with Paul's Cousin.
Sorry I didn't get a picture of him with his wife, Kathy.

 Paul & Scott

I'm so grateful for the good sport my DH was.
We even got to find a few Quilt shops.
There were only 3 as far as I could find close.
More about that another day.

Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving Holiday with your families or Sewing Machine.
It's always an option.  I missed taking my machine.
Pictures of my Tula Pink Blocks were taken prior to the trip.
ONE MORE DAY!!!!

Design Wall/Floor Monday- November 21, 2016

I have a VERY Old UFO on my Wall/Floor today.
It has been hiding in the Garage since the move.
This project was packed way back in 2004 when we were getting ready to move to Walla Walla.
I thought I knew where it was and have wondered which box had it inside.
Occasionally over the 12 years, I've brought in a random box, hoping it contained my Project.
We were moving and re-arranging for the company expected this week-end.
The stack of Luggage was pulled away from the shelves so I had another chance to look on Saturday.
I thought it was lost and gone forever...
Alas it wasn't on the top of the Project box.
A few other treasures were uncovered before my BIG find!
It was like a Time Capsule. Circa 2003-4
A project from a 2003 Shop Hop was in there too.
Some Super Saturday Christmas kits were found and Jingle Bells and ribbons.
WOW, it took me WAY Back.
I squealed and jumped up and down.
It was just a stack of Blocks but all the sashings were cut, the Seminole border is ready to sew,
 even the Border is cut.
It doesn't smell very good, but I hurried and got the center sewn together.
 Paul took a nap.
Not a bad day of Catch-up stitching after a week of vacation.
I have over 100 pictures to edit and share.
Come back to see the FUN we had in Las Vegas.

I also sewed more of the Tula Blocks.
I am SO close to the end.
100 Days 100 Blocks ends on Thursday.

I should be headed out to my Tri-City Quilt Guild...
My body and the Fog warnings til NOON tell me this meeting isn't going to happen for me.
There are many more things to get done before the Family Gathers for Thanksgiving.

WOW- Wednesday

The Guild Lotto Blocks are stacking up.

Before the last guild this is the stacks of blocks.
Guild ladies brought a variety of blocks in October.
On the right are the ones from October.
Congrats to Pat C for winning the Fat Quarters.
We had a SEW-In last week.
I took them to work on, plus my own set of 12 blocks to assemble.
I got the sashing and Cornerstones added, next up the Border.

What color border would you choose?

 It was "Tiara Time"
I had a Busy Weekend so I didn't stay for the whole SEW-in.
It was our LDS Ward Harvest Dinner.

I'll be working on these blocks a while.
The Month of December is so busy I decided there wouldn't be a Block to work for November.
I have printed the last 3 patterns for the ladies if they want them to complete their own.
They are a bit more Challenging I found.
I saved them for the last for a reason.

Next year, sadly I will NOT be doing the Block of the Month for Guild.
I am SAD for losing another of my Favorite things to do.

Whatcha working on this Wednesday???

Design Wall Monday November 14, 2016

Here is the December Bench Pillow/ Table Runner
The class will be December 15th 4-8pm. @ Sew n Vac & Spas.
I shared it at Guild and we would have done it this month but I was late getting it finished.
You need 1/3 yard of background + 8 Fat Quarters.
The back uses the part of the Fat Quarters used in the making of the front.

I used "Terial Magic" rather than the Fusible.
I like the way it worked for this project.
This is a Kimberbell design.

I am almost done with the Tula PInk 100 Days 100 Blocks.
Blocks 81-90
Just 10 Blocks left to sew.

I'll need to choose a sashing next and get this one to a Flimsy.
Suggestions?

Happy Veteran's Day!
I have to share pictures of these Two men who have served our country.
My Father and my Youngest Son.

My Son corrected my Post and included this picture of him in his Army Uniform.
This was the day of his Boot Camp Graduation @ Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri
I am truly grateful for the FREEDOM's we have in the USA!
My Election Quilt has taken a new look after the Elections this year.

I Added the 2016 Results & changed the States that went RED.
Amazing to look at the map with all the RED showing.
We have a NEW President.

I didn't post on Wednesday. Did anyone notice??
I got sad news and just couldn't Blog my usual WOW.
I spent a couple days in tears over the passing of my Childhood Friend, Sonia's husband.
She is pictured with him in this TBT collage, upper Left corner.
I'm grateful I can kneel and Pray for peace and comforting.
Sonia lost her mother earlier this year and now her Sweetheart of nearly 40 years.
They were married 2 weeks before us back in 1976.
Her 60th Birthday is this coming week.
My heart breaks for her great loss.

I hope this day is filled with healing and Love of Country and the Freedoms we all enjoy!

Design Wall Monday - November 7,2016

I am happy to report the Sewing/Quilt Zone is getting some action!
Finally got to where I could see to Cut and Sew.
I had to lay my 80 Tula Pink Blocks out after I saw Julie H from Idaho show hers.
Just 20 more to make, 17 by the time this posts.
This one finishes just before Thanksgiving.

I couldn't  find blocks 61-70 at first.
I searched upstairs and downstairs.
They were hiding under my stack of TO-DO's in the Living room.
I have some of them on my list of goals, HERE,

A couple of them got crossed off this past week.
It feels good to finish a long term project of the year before the Quiltville Mystery Starts.

I have more UFO's than I have Months left in the Year.
I'll be taking Quilting Time to work on Christmas til the end of November.
The Mystery might be all you see in December.

November - My Secret Garden Flimsy

After spending most of last week in bed with my Eye.
I somehow got a scratch on my Cornea.
Runny and itchy eye, not much stitching got done.

I laid the OMG Blocks back out to re-arrange them.
They are still in Month order just going vertical instead of Horizontal.
1,2,3,4, Down - 1st row.

I think I like it better than how it was.
It's time to get this one linked up with Pat Sloan over HERE.
I thought the sashings would be easy.
Just needed to cut the 2 1/2" strips and decide on Corner stones.

Then make the 4 Nine-Patches and add the final Border.
It won't take too long, Right???
 Just half the day.
Had to do a bit of "Frogging" too.
It's bright and I think it might fit my Queen size bed.
Another one to add to the TBQ pile.
Happy to have my OMG done in the first week of the month.
Maybe it will get Quilted too.
