February OMG Finish Link-up

It's a Good thing I looked to see when the Link-up Closes.
In the Morning it was just a Pile of Blocks
My OMG and UFO # 9
Yesterday was the Day to get this one together.
They are only 9" Blocks so the center finishes at 36" x 45"
I will add a small Border of this BLUE DOT I found at Quiltmania!

Yes, I could have made 4 more, Yes, I could have sashed them.
I really liked the Hourglass in the connecting secondary look.
I even considered adding a Scrappy Hourglass Pieced Border.
For now it's just the right size for a small throw quilt after Borders.
I am calling this a DONE OMG!
Thanks for the Suggestions/Comments Janet O, Judy, & Julie H

EDITED: 5:43pm
It only took 3 years + a few Months to get this far!

These were started a while ago.
This is what I Blogged that day... January 2014

On New Year's day while I was off visiting extended family my online Yahoo group;
WASIQ had a Virtual Sew-in  and made a familiar block.
Their Blog HERE.
They said instead of Resolutions to make RESEWLUTIONS!
I have so many scraps that were already but into the size strips they were using,
so I had to play along on January 2nd.

The center 4-patches are Teeny, TINY!

I also Finished UFO #5 completely this month along with 3 other finishes..
Here I am stitching the last of the binding down.
The Full Reveal will be at the Tri-City Quilt Show, maybe even with Jason Yenter and I.
What will be the UFO/OMG for March???
Come back tomorrow to see.

Wow - Wednesday February 22,2017

This short Month is going way to fast.
And yesterday we had SNOW AGAIN!!!
This IS the Winter that Never Ends!
No automatic alt text available.
It did melt fairly quick with the warmer Temps.
I LOST a Day with DH in the Hospital... He's doing better.
This is MY Tuesday??
"Betsy" and I did get in some playtime after some Thread Skipping.
"Betsy" didn't like my Thread and Needle change.

My Quilt Show Challenge is Done except for Binding.
Another Sneak Peek.

I had extra backing on the frame so I pinned a Mini "Pineapple Welcome Banner" on.
I wanted to see what the Cross-hatching pattern would do.
Then I grabbed an extra PINK  Churn Dash Block and quilted it.
I wanted to make sure the skipping stitches glitch was fixed.
I have 3 binding to be attached and  sewn down.
The Pink Block might go on a Small Tote I want to make.

Jason Yenter is coming to the QUILT Show and they asked for Quilts made with "in The Begining" Fabrics. I knew I had one.  But WHERE?
I found my " In the Begining" project  in the 2nd place I looked..
A little "Home Tweet Home Panto stitching. I will finish this one this afternoon.
With a little time left to measure to be Registered in the Quilt show.
Deadline is Friday - ONLINE.
Being a Member of the Tri-city Guild I have more entry Possibilities.
Just a little more than Month away from the BIG Quilt SHOW!
March 24-25, 2017

What are YOU Working on???

Design Wall Monday - February 20, 2017

It's another Guild Day.
I would be going, but DH spent yesterday at the "Expensive Hotel" aka: Hospital.
He has had a few episodes of recurring A- Fib.  So he'll be having a Stress Test today.
Thanks for keeping him in your Prayers.

I had just one quilt to show- I will take it to Sew n Vac sometime today instead.
I want to make another version with multiple colors of Churn Dash Blocks.
I have a few extra Pink ones.

ON Saturday I worked on my Crayon Challenge.
The Challenge is making it 24" x 36".
The Crayon Challenge Quilt needs to be registered in this week.
They Extended the Deadline for ONLINE Entries HERE
I can only show you the fabrics- until the Show March 24-25, 2017

I chose the Green for my extra color.
The Purples are so close in value.
It may not end up being my Favorite Quilt but I think I met the Challenge.

I put a few more Pineapple tops together and got 3 more done.
Maybe I do need a Whole Quilt???
A bit of "Frogging" did occur.
That's when I decided it was time to QUIT!

These Pictures are from my Phone, (sad face)
My Camera has gone missing in action again.
I remember putting it someplace after taking Pictures last weekend with my En Provence.
I said to my self, "I hope I remember where I put this"

Friday - and a Finish

I got one more of my Class samples Finished and can share it.
Just in the nick of time.  This class is Next week. Oh, MY!

Happy Birthday Bench Pillow
The Perfect Picture on a Bench for my Bench Pillow.
Class is Friday, February 24th 1-4pm
@ Walla Walla Sew-n-Vac & Spas
You know you want to get out of the house and come make one, right!!??

I took some liberties with the Pattern.
I just Embroidered Paul's whole Name instead of Individual Letters.n
My Scallops didn't come out as good as I wanted so I opted for RIC RAC.
I used my Embroidery Machine for the Happy Birthday.
It's not Perfect but They can see Options to make this.

It was Paul's Birthday week.
We started Early Celebrating so HIS day wasn't a BIG Whoop-di - Do!
Janessa took him Balloons at his Work.
(I borrowed the PIcture from FB)

He finally got his Birthday Dinner Last Night.
This was my BUSY Week!
I look forward to the 3-Day Weekend- but it is crammed with activities too!
I have a Birthday Grandson to take to Dinner tonight...a bit late for him.

NEWSFLASH!!! Quilt Show Entries have been extended for the Tri-City Quilt Show

WOW- Wednesday- What I'm working on-

I am still working on Class samples.
Here's the full view of  the Kid's Class Sample.
"Flamingo Churn Dash"
"Betsy" must have needed the week-end off!
I got up Monday and she worked just fine.
I got all the remaining borders quilted in time to get binding on.
Started the tacking of it down at my Daughter's of Utah Pioneers Luncheon.
I shared it at our 1st Walla Walla Quilt Guild Meeting of the year.
Image may contain: indoor
January we had to cancel.
Sherri the past President acknowledged the members who did Guild Presentations.
We were all gifted  a Guild LOGO-ed
Sewing Machine "Apron"
This will be fun to use at my RETREATS under my Sewing machine.

I have to say it was weird not having the Block Lotto to do.
A couple ladies asked why they didn't do it.

The Guild's Raffle Quilt is Finished and was shown last night also-
 Tickets are $1
Drawing will be held at our December Meeting.

The packages I mailed and shipped last week have been received-
Here's the 9-Patch Quilt Made by my Mother-by-Love.
Quilted by Me for my son Jeffery in MO.
I had to get a picture on the snow.
He'll take a picture for me on his BED later.
Here's the back- showing the quilting design - Bubble Vines.
It was fun to send it as a surprise for my Son.
He only had a little trouble connecting with the UPS person.

Today it is Paul's 63rd Birthday.
Image may contain: 7 people, people smiling
I dutifully called it in to KORD this AM.
Talked to the Radio guy and he taped my comments about the
"weird" Freezing Fog here in Walla Walla.
I didn't know he would play my words on-AIR, lol
Paul was the only Birthday called in today,
No more Free Cakes from Yoke's - I asked about that too.
Now I know why my Grandkids didn't get cakes this year.

I have another secret Project in the works for a Friend.
It will show up on here eventually.
I was going to share it today, if I got it to Flimsy.
That didn't happen and I can't locate my Camera again.
This getting older isn't FUN!

Quiltville Mystery Final En Provence Link-up & Design Wall Monday February 13, 2017

The Flimsy has been posted on Instagram and Facebook a little.
Lot's of LIKES (295) there.
I am so happy to have this Mystery to Flimsy in time for the Final Link-up.

TA DA!
A picture on the remaining SNOW.

Dear Hubby Took this Picture of me wearing my En Provence T-Shirt that I ordered.
I also ordered the Pins, but need a way to display them- any ideas for that?
I thought it fitting to wear it for the Finale'
This might just be my Favorite Mystery since I used mostly my Fairy Frost Stash fabrics.
It just sparkles!
I spent a while deciding how the Purple 4-Patches should go around the edge with the Tri-Recs.
The outside ones don't all run the same way on Purpose. Just saying.
It needs a good pressing and maybe a stitch around all those 4-patch seams to stabilized the edges.
Maybe I need to add one small Purple border to attach to the leaders for quilting...
Linking up to Quiltville HERE

I had hoped to have it on the Quilting table, but this Class Sample is still on.
I worked on it during the recent QUILTATHON with Judy L.
I have a NEW Name for it.
Since the Kona Color of the year is Flamingo!
"Flamingo Churn Dash"
I'm finding a troublesome line on my screen when I try to Scale the Border Panto.
Something is Up, I'll have to ask at Sew n Vac.

I used 2 of Wasatch Quilting Patterns on this one.
Bonnie shared this Block on QuiltCAM, yesterday.
I only have the 3 other Borders to Quilt!

Quiltathon - Final Day!

There's one more DAY of the February Quiltathon!
I am getting a late Start this morning
Saturdays are for Sleeping IN, Right?
Ya, I know by the time this posts it will be after NOON.

Had to take time out to go out for Dinner and Movie with my Sweetheart,, lol
Good Movies, BOTH of them!!
The Fortune Cookies say:
" Your love of life will be happy and harmonious"
"You will have success in whatever calling you adopt"
HAHAHA_ Guess which one was mine???

The Quilt on the Frame is still waiting for me.

I had to just turn "BETSY" off yesterday!
I had used Mr "FROGGIN"  tool way too much.
I'm trying to "place' the Designs in each Block.
This design went Off- Center on my 3rd Block, so I had to un-stitch it.
No pictures of the tangled threads wasted...
Then I tried to put a design in the corner, the left corner went just right.
The right one- not so much, back to the "froggin".
I emailed the designer of the corner and asked for HELP!
I'll just roll the quilt and do what works and then go back to do the setting Triangles and corners.

The "Hearts" Block I showed before didn't work for some reason,
Gotta email and /or re-download it, from the source.

Hubby is gone for a walk so Downstairs I go to TRY again.
"Betsy", Please be good!!!

Click HERE for the Final Quiltathon Link-up.

Checking in at near Sunset...
Betsy has been a Trooper today.  Can you all hear me screaming YEA!!!
Only a couple glitches, like bobbin running out or not clipped off the previous block
and dragged to the next one, oops.
Just the Bottom Border and side Borders left to Quilt.
I will need to TURN and re-pin the whole Quilt to do the Side Borders.

Quiltathon - Day 3

I had a few interruptions and a bit of Quilter's ADD yesterday.
I never made it back to show  my Progress.
Betsy wasn't cooperating when I tried to get started on the Quilting, :(
I  ended up playing with my Artista again.
I re-did the "Welcome" in Green.

Stitched up the Happy Birthday part for that Bench Pillow.

I realized that the Booklet I have doesn't include the Happy Birthday Pattern.
I had to order it. More delays in getting my Class Samples finished.

Printed off some Free Patterns from Sewkindofwonderful.
More Quick Curve Projects in my Future..
No automatic alt text available.
Lots of Likes and Comments on my Pineapple!!!
Did you know the Pineapple is a SIGN of "Welcome"
Perfect reason to make a Welcome Banner, I think!!!

Since I ran out of time and Patience to START  quilting...
I thought, maybe there's time to get the LAST 4-Patch Border on my En Provence.
Had to make a few more of Clue 1 - neutral 4-Patches.
Yes, it really does matter which way you feed them into the machine, Just Saying.
Thank goodness I found this FAT Quarter of my Sparkly fabric at STASH.
13" is all that's left of it.

The Final Link-up for the Mystery on Quiltville is Monday, come back for the Big Reveal!
Yes, my Goals for February are being Crossed off 1 by 1!!!
The BEST part of my DAY
DH brought home Pretty Flowers-
Early Valentine's!!!
Thanks, I think I'll Keep HIM!!!

Praying for a Quick recovery of DD#2
She slipped and hit her head, so NO WORKING this weekend for her.
I'm really glad she didn't have to come down my Street and that her SIL could help her with the Boys.
((((HUGS))))

The Temps are Rising and the snow is slowly melting.
(if I hurry I can get one more Snow pic of my En Provence)
I slid down the driveway last night.
I had a Relief Society Meeting to go to.
1st one  that wasn't cancelled because of the Weather.

Thanks to Judy D for posting about this Quiltathon and to JUDY L for Hosting it!
Quiltathon Day 3 Link- up is HERE
